What formula do you give to your babies? My pedia kasi told me I can use Nan HA or S26 Gold HA. Which one is better?

my one month old was prescribed Enfalac A+ by her pedia.

yung 3 kids ko laking enfa, presecribed din ng pedia nila pero syempre nasa atin naman yon kung susundin mo o hindi, pero nung nakita ko kasi sa eldest ko yung effect ng enfa sa kanya so lahat ng kids ko enfa na din. what i like most sa enfa is yung pagka taba niya is siksik hindi hangin na pag binuhat mo eh ang gaan lang pala akala mo mabigat. and my kids have a very sharp memory. according sa bil kong med rep ang enfa series daw forte nila ang brain ng mga babies while bonakids more of the bones ng mga babies naman.

nan HA/HW ang sa baby ko.. kapid nya naman.. tsaka nabasa ko na ito ang pinakamalapit na gatas sa breastmilk

prescribed ng pedia ko na itransfer ng enfapro a+ kasi wala naman daw allergy si baby, hindi ko ginawa kasi ok naman ang nan... tsaka nagcompare din ako na halos same naman ang vits. and minerals content, meron pang case na mas mataas pa ang sa nan kesa enfa.. so stay ako sa nan

hindi lahat ng sinasabi ng pedia ay sinusunod ko.. nagreresearch muna ako kung ok yun o hindi.. like sa vits- ferlin, ceelin at polyvisol ang prescribed nya pero ang pinapainom ko lang ngayon ay ceelin at nutrilin kasi tingin ko mas maganda yun eh.. same with milk, magresearch ka din sis, hindi lang yung sinasabi ng pedia

at the end of the day pag ok o hindi si baby, hindi si doc ang accountable kundi ang nanay

My baby was prescribed S26 Gold by the resident pedia sa nursery. Pero nung nakausap ko totoong pedia namin (MIL's bowling mate), mas nirerecommend daw nya Enfalac kasi mas mataas daw DHA content. So ngayon Enfalac A+ si baby.

Mga sis my baby is a week old roday, his pedia adviced na pag di padin maglatch si baby ng mabuti & di makakuha ng milk is to supplement feed with NAN HA1. May i ask gano kalaki yung lata na binibili nyo & how much it is pati narin kung gano katagal yung supply? Usually pang 1 week lang ba yung 1 can?

cldy_1981, buy the smallest can first to see if hiyang sa baby mo. Kung ok (ie di ma-constipate), that's the time you buy a bugger can.

As to how long a can lasts, depends on your baby's appetite kung maka-ilang bote siya in a day and how many oz per feeding.

If hindi sia maka-latch, do you plan to keep on expressing milk na lang. My baby didnt latch too and i pumped for her for 6 months supplemented with similac hw.

sexytabachung, you can try both. Both are good naman but try to see which one your baby takes better. Kami similac hw noon kasi may discount kami sa abbott.

Caprice - My pedia originally prescribed S26 too. Kaya lang I decided to give her Enfapro A+ after I breastfed her exclusively for 8 months. I read somewhere kase na masyado daw mataas ang sugar content ng S26 kaya nakakataba sya sa babies.

Im giving my baby S-26 Gold HA for almost 3 weeks na and the same time, i am also giving her expressed milk. Pinipilit ko talaga na maibigay sa kanya ng 50/50 kahit paano pero may araw talaga na hindi enough yung breastmilk ko.. nakaka-frustrate lang rin.. i hope i am making the right decision on giving her this formula.

twelvth_goddess, tinikman ko both S26 Gold and Enfalac A+ dati. Mas matamis nga S26. kaya siguro almost a kilo ang na-gain ng baby ko after 16 days.

^Yup, kaya if you notice din almost all S26 babies are chubby Eh my daughter was a lot heavier for her age kaya I decided against S26. Plus based din sa mga articles that I've read, Enfa series has more DHA talaga compared to other milks.

Not sure sa price ng nan ha. Kasi abbott products gamit namin (similca, gain advance oplus, gain plus advance).

Enfalac A+ was prescribed by the pedia who assisted my OB when I gave birth to my son 2 weeks ago. Yun din ang prescribed ng current pedia ng son ko. So far ok naman ang effect kay baby. It’s quite pricey for us kasi si hubby lang ang nagwowork tapos super takaw pa ni baby. At 2 weeks, he is already downing 3oz every 3 hours. Kaya naman pinipilit ko padamihin ang breastmilk ko, eh I have introverted nipples pa so I had to express milk to supplement his formula.

true. yung niece ko S26 nagstart ang taba nung baby pero nagswitch ng enfa kasi yung pag ka chubby niya parang hangin, ewan ko ha? pero ito kasi ang observation namin kaya pinalitan nila yung gatas.

Hope you dont mind if i ask bakit formula agad baby mo by 1 week? Nagatataning lang kasi i feel guilty having to mix feed, yung comment ng iba around me mskes me feel like a bad mom, eh hirap na hirap maglatch son ko kaya frustrated kami pareho pag feeding time which resultsvto him not eating/drinking nalang

I noticed maraming mga sis natin ang nagbibigay ng enfalac sa babies nila.. parang gusto ko tuloy mag switch from s-26 ha to enfalac.. pero natatakot kasi ako mag change ng formula ni baby eh.. baka may hindi maganda effect eh ako pa ang masisi ni hubby pati ng mom ko.. so far naman, my 3 week old baby is doing great sa mix feeding.. i am just hoping na mas dumami pa ang milk supply ko..

by the way, how much yung enfalac?
