kabes, some dogs are just clueless with raw meat, lalo yung nasanay sa dogfood, iba kasi ang texture and scent. Kailangan lang ng onting motivation, pwedeng ilure sila by shaking the meat.

When offering a new protein, make sure na 1 week firm ang poop sa old protein. Then offer the new protein gradually, iba-iba kasi tolerance nila sa meat.

question, magkano yung nagagstos nyo in a day sa raw diet compare sa dry dog food or kibbles? mas nakaksave ba sa raw? tska gano kadami. tia po  :-*

Oh wow, Bacon's a lucky mutt!

The posts about raw diet are really very appealing and I can attest to how great it worked for my Maxx. One of the most remarkable effects of raw diet on him was that his coat shone better and some dry patches on his skin went away. ☺👍

I just tried feeding my 4 month old pup, raw chicken (meat and ligament). D nya pinansin yung meat. :-[ I don't know if I should try doing it again. Help? :(

Also tried giving my dog raw meat but it seems like she doesn't like it. I guess nasanay kasi siya sa table food and also dog food eh.

Thanks sis abuanddiego for sharing that group!

some dogs are clueless with raw meat, iba kasi ang texture at scent. I have a patay-gutom shih, kahit fruits, breads, veggies pati yung mga nahulog sa floor kinakain lol pero nung inofferan ko ng raw waley pakels! Mga 2 weeks bago sya nasanay.

Just don't baby them too much and don't make a big deal kung ayaw kumain. Be strict with the feeding regimen, offer the food for 10-15mins after that kunin na whether naubos or hindi ginalaw. It will teach them na hindi parating available ang food.

^hi sis abuanddiego..
if the dog didn't eat the meat after 15minutes..do we discard the meat or can we still keep the uneaten meat for next feeding?  if it's safe to keep for next feeding, do we keep the meat frozen again or just ref?

@jan888 hi sis left over meat can still be given for the next meal. dont worry, hindi maselan ang sikmura ng dogs, it is highly acidic kaya nila ihandle yung bacteria at di sila basta-basta nasisira sa meat, so safe pa yan ipakain ulit. i prefer to freeze them for better preservation and to put the bacterias in hibernation. pag nasa chiller lang kasi they tend to get slimy at mangangamoy din ang ref natin. baka ayawan nyo raw feeding pag ganun nangyare lol at para iwas na rin sa contamination with the human food. store lang mabuti sa plastics or containers then offer sa next meal.

Were planning to shift our puppy to raw feeding soon but I need to take time reading all about it. Sis, where do you buy your raw diet/meat supplies? Do you guys still give them a separate multivitamins pa? I was considering Orijen dog food pero pricey siya eh...iniisip ko baka mas makatipid ako sa raw?
i am inward outward upward downward happy all the time...

We did this with our working line german shepherd. Napapayatan kasi kami sa kanya and we tried different dog foods. Halos 2 kilos na nakakakain a day pero hindi pa rin tumataba. Switched to raw (we buy meat shavings from our suki sa palengke) and gumanda ang katawan niya. Plus shiny pa ang coat. We still give her vitamins and regular deworming every 3 months since raw nga ang kinakain. But no health complications whatsoever. :)

I know this is not related to the topic, but I just want to know, is anyone have tried giving Marijuana to their pets for Medical purposes? I have read many articles about medical marijuana and Cannabis oil can be used to treat seizures, nausea, stress, anxiety, arthritis, back pain, symptoms of cancer, and gastrointestinal issues, among other health conditions in dogs. Like this article on http://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/chocolate-kush/. Alternatively, they've also found new ways to infuse cannabis on food and beverages. If this is true I can't find any solid conclusive evidence that speaks to its efficacy. Any personal experience or testimonial would be highly appreciated. Thanks
