Hi sis. I've searched this topic sa wikihow and doon naman western culture yung pinagbasehan. Mejo funny yung ibang suggestions like magpasalubong daw ng bottle of wine or a pot of plant. Ngiii! Hehe. I guess if your (possibly) future in-laws like it pwede mo siguro i-consider.

Pero based on what I've experienced so far, eto ang mga masu-suggest ko sayo.
1. Dress modestly. Wag revealing ang outfit or too skintight. Dapat classy yung fashion sense mo (kahit on that day lang), simple, pero elegant naman at di mukhang manang.
2. Wear minimum make-up. Para sa akin ang minimum ay: neutral lipstick, foundation that matches your skin tone (dapat hindi makapal, mukhang natural lang), mascara, subtle blush on. Pwede ka rin mag-apply minimum na eye-shadow (basta neutral shades lang and barely-there as in manipis lang) and very thin eye-liner.
3. Be yourself. Wag masyado magpa-impress. Anyone can sense if di nagpapakatotoo ang tao. Instead, be interested in them. Compliment their house, the food they served, o anything na worth complimenting. Ask them too about themselves. Wag masyado mahiya, it shows you are interested and an engaging guest. Basta hindi lang personal mga tanong or masyado nosy ang dating. Mga neutral lang na tanong. Or be playful and ask kung paano ba ugali ni bf nung bata sya. This can open them up to tell you funny stories about your bf's childhood.
4. If they're serving you dinner/lunch, pwede mo ask si bf if you can bring desserts or fruits. Basta keep your hosts in mind. If diabetic sila or bawal ang matamis syempre avoid mo na magdala ng anything they won't enjoy. Kaya dapat mo muna ask si bf so he can give you ideas on what you can bring.
5. If you can avoid it, don't spend the night sa bahay nila. Even if the parents offered it. Kasi malamang they're just being polite. Mas may delikadeza pa rin kasi kapag di ka mag-overnight sa bahay ni bf.
6. Kahit pa-joke wag lalaitin si bf sa harap nila. Minsan kasi we think it's cute to make fun of our bf's, pero parents won't like to hear it.
7. They would probably interview you and ask you questions about your family. Wag muna mag-open up about negative issues or sob stories ng pamilya mo. There will be a better time for that, and it's definitely not the first time you meet them.
Ayun na lang muna for now. Keep us posted. Good luck. Smile, keep your chin up, sit up straight, wag mag-slouch. Go girl!
