been reading a lot of preg books sis, and is advised (not yet preggy though) to take a lot of good foods like peanuts, cheese (except blue cheese or soft cheeses), grains (brown rice etc), pasta, seafoods (rich in omega 3s but not raw), yogurt, fresh fruits. also deviate from high in sugar, high in fats and caffeine.
My OB made it a point to bug me on eating lots of calcium rich food - broccoli, yoghurt, milk, cheese, etc also lots of veggies, fruits (though not too much as you might get GD) and not a lot of carbs. During my first trimester I had bad morning sickness and literally could only eat white rice, bread, fruits and soup for 3 months. My mom made me a lot of pork/beef/chicken broth soup.
