Mag sis san ba makakabili ng oven thermometer and anong brand ok? TIA

i'm not sure about the brand, but I'm sure you can find one in Gourdo's or in some other baking stores around the metro. :)

Dad bought an oven so I tried baking today. I baked soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Masarap naman. Hahaha. Mukhang magiging bagong hobby ko na to :)

went to all about baking (formerly chocolate lover) sa quezon ave. nalimutan kong bumili ng flower nail, mag practice pa naman sana ako. :)

^i never buy flour in groceries because its really expensive lalo na if you're selling your baked goodies. I buy talaga sa baking supplies stores. Check out your neighborhood palengke baka may supplies store (where panaderia buy their ingredients) thats selling wholesale flour mas makakamura ka pa. Daming klase pa nila ng flour! Just strain your flour well nga lang.

who has tried baking home made bread? ang gamit ko is instant yeast, the one that you directly mix with the dough and hindi na kailangan pa na ihalo muna sa water and sugar. Ok naman ang bread ang napapansin ko lang the smell is too "yeasty" and sabi sa recipe 30-45mins at 165centigrade and sinunod ko, the inside is medyo mamasamasa pa on some bread (not all). does that mean longer cooking or higher temperature? and how will i solve the too "yeasty" smell?

^tagal ko ng di gumagawa ng bread! Baka naman too much yeast? Or baka kulang sa rest yung dough? Ako 1hour ako mag rest ng bread though depende sa temp ng room mo eh mas ok talaga pag mas humid.. you'll know naman if its ok na once you poke the dough softly the dimple won't bounce back. If you want pala the really soft bread na parang dinner roll and ensaymada try mo yung tangzhong method, sis. super soft talaga siya :)

i bought the small packets already which was nasa recipe. i also let the dough rest overnight so about 5-6hrs for the first rise. what do you mean by if i poke the dough softly the dimple won't bounce?

yung sakin tig 1hour (upto 1 & a half hour) rise lang. 1hour sa first rise, and another hour before baking.

gamit kong yeast, 15minutes proofing.

^depends on the environment din kase sis. if it is warm and humid faster mag rise pero kapag malamig lalo na at winter dito ngayon mabagal. what i do minsan is to put it inside the oven
