Whew!

hi to all! Ako din, am into baking late last year pa... napabili kami ni hubby ng oven kasi nga he took up culinary. pero ako ngayon ang madalas gumamit ng oven.

I baked mostly cupcakes, takot pa akong mag cake as in the whole thing.  Pero bukas try ko with the help of the hubby kasi iregalo ko sa aking Nanay sa mothers day... yung recipe ng Yummy na Chocolate Tablea Cake, daming reviews na masarap daw at super moist kahit pangatlong araw hehe.

I had baked chocolate cupcakes with walnuts, banana bread, banana chocolate cupcake, ang pinaka recent  ay yung carrot cake ko na super hit, pinangbaon ko sa biyahe sa tren papuntang bikol, which I shared with office mates.  Super silang nasarapan. I got the recipe sa allrecipe.com.  grabe ang daming good reviews kaya try ko and nagclick.

Thanks for making this thread for all the newbie in baking!  Daming tips na makukuha.

Happy baking!

anybody here who tried making frosting using melted chocolate bar. Mas gusto ko kasi chocolatey na icing rather than the usual sugar and butter. Plan to use white chocolate tapos lalagyan ko ng color, gusto ko green and blue na icing. Last time kasi sa birthday ng son ko, nagmelt lang ako ng chocolate bar na green at red tapos yun ang pinangfrosting ko. So para siyang yung nabibili sa grocery na choco topps/lemonsquares na hard chocolate on top. Gusto ko naman this time yung medyo soft pero chcolatey pa din. Etong recipe below, you think okay, may nakapag try na ba?

•   130g of white chocolate, melted
•   75g of butter, melted
•   180g of icing sugar
•   1/2tsp of vanilla essence
•   2tbsp of full cream milk
•  Chop and melt the white chocolate. Leave aside to cool
•  Sift the icing sugar, add the milk, vanilla essence and melted butter. Whisk or beat until creamy smooth. It takes about 2 – 3minutes. Add the white chocolate and mix through well. Allow it to cool/thicken in the refrigerator so that it is thick enough for icing

sis ako ang oven ko is imarflex 3-in-1 convection type oven! i already baked cookies, cupcakes, cakes, macaroons, muffins, etc. yung bili ko is P4500 pero i've read somewhere here that you can get that at a much lower price, can't remember lang kung saan. masarap pagpraktisan yung mini oven pero kung gagawin ng business kelangan mas malaking oven kasi sayang kuryente pag maliit, ilang salangan din kasi yun...
