Hi Sisses!

I've been a GT reader for a little over a year now. I got the idea of using cloth diapers at kellymom. I was searching the internet for something else but one thing lead to another and I found myself at her site na. My "knowledge" of cloth diapers was broadened by what I've read in this forum. Super useful! My son's turning one in two weeks. We've been using cloth diapers since he was 3 months old. The brands that he has are Charlie Banana and Next9.

I haven't given my feedback yet. Soon. Gusto ko lang talaga magshare ng heartache ngayon. Please bear with me. Wala kasi akong friend na gumagamit ng cloth diapers. Most of my girlfriends din kasi no baby pa so they really can't relate with what I'm feeling right now. Kanina kasing umaga, garbage collection day dito samin. I placed my son's 5-7 cloth diapers (I don't really want to recall how many they are) inside a plastic bag. I was supposed to wash them today so I left them inside the bathroom. My son also uses disposables if I feel like he's going to poop na sa next diaper change niya. So dalawa yung plastic dun, one for disposables and one for cloth. AYUN, NATAPON YUNG CLOTH DIAPERS NG LOLO NIYA (father's side). I wasn't aware until after lunch. Nasa room lang kasi kami ni baby. Gusto ko talagang magalit pero hindi pwede kasi hindi ko naman nasabihan yung lolo niya about it, although I thought aware siya kasi yung LOLA naman ng son ko alam yung tungkol sa CBs. Ang sakit talaga sa puso. Mostly Charlie Banana pa naman. Buti na lang not the prints. Although I'm not sure if nasama yung "Goobye Disposable, Hello Cloth" niyang CB. Hay. Naiyak na lang ako.

omg! nakakaiyak nga yun. ang mahal mahal pa naman ng charlie banana! hindi na nahabol, sis? sa bagay, even if nahabol mo yun parang nakaka alangan na gamitin if nalagay na siya sa garbage truck.

OUCH! Even if I had cheaper CDs thrown out, i would still feel the same. I have a sense of attachment to them. Hirap nga pag kailangan mag destash ng preloved CDs eh. I feel for you!

sis crammer planner, sali ka sa fb group namin - mcnp (modern cloth nappying pinays). 24/7 chikahang cloth diaper dun. you can ask or share anything about cloth diapers. may pictures, reviews, guides, etc. lagi din may mga group buy. ay, nag-launch na nga pala ng separate group for group buys - mcnp gb. anyway, masaya yung group buy dahil we get the cds at a lower price. usually kasi malaki discounts when you buy in bulk. we buy mostly from china and US online sellers tapos hati-hati sa shipping and taxes. another good thing about it is we get to try different brands.

wala din akong ibang friends na gumagamit ng cloth diapers so i'm really happy i found mcnp.

charlie banana is available at selected sm baby co. outlets. there are also some local online sellers who carry charlie banana like the eco baby boutique.

jpeach and skits: Nahanap yung diapers, thank God! Yung manang kasing nagcocollect ng garbage dito sa building namin, she segregates everything first and then 2 days after talaga dinadaanan nung garbage truck. Buti na lang si manang nakita na CLOTH yung diapers and nice siya. Good thing din when I told R, he looked for Manang pa talaga.

Grabe, I was so happy when I came home the next day. Affected kasi talaga ako. I was also attached to them na, lalo na 3mos pa lang si baby ginagamit niya na yun.

Great idea yung group buys ha! Ang mahal kasi talaga ng imported cloth diapers here kaya I had mine brought from the US pa, pasuyo lang.

@ava_camille: Caleb's Closet Ecostore (online seller) sells them also.

@enjey: My son used his Charlie Banana cloth diaper as swim diaper today. First time din niya magswimming.

Ayos naman. As I understand, swim diapers are used to catch the poop. No need for inserts because it will just make the diaper heavy, kawawa naman si baby. The important thing is it's snug and fit to make sure the poop doesn't leak out and contaminate the pool.

I backread na! Wow, marami din palang popular china brands. I didn't know. I stopped reading kasi after I gave birth.

also glad you're joining the group. fair warning lang, nakakaadik ang mga gb! haha. with regards sa china nappies, ang medyo popular talaga na china brands are sunbaby, coolababy and alva. even sa US kilala ng mga cd moms yang brands na yan and madami silang reviews. pero dahil sa kaadikan namin sa mcnp, we kept browsing alibaba, aliexpress and other sites kaya ayun, na-discover namin yung mga baby wizard, happy flute, happy bum, beilesen and most recently, cluebebe.

sis crammer planner, saken din nangyari before na natapon yung CD ni baby. nilagay kase ng mama ko sa brown paper bag yung soiled nappy tapos binigay sa asawa ko. yung asawa ko nlagay sa table tapos napagkamalan yata ng maid namin na kalat. ayun natapon na nga. buti nalang isa lang yun kaya di masyado masakit sa loob. good thing is napalitan yung exact print na yun noong naparaffle sa mcnp, swerteng nanalo ako.

buti sayo nakita mo yun, kung ganun kadami nawala saken baka nagwala ako at naghanap ng masisisi. hahaha!

mga 1 month na si baby nung nag-start kami mag cloth diaper. hinintay ko mawala yung meconium (black poop) and inubos ko muna yung mga bigay na disposable diapers. hinintay ko din na medyo mas malaki na siya ng kaunti para mas maganda fit nung cloth diapers. karamihan kasi one-size yung mga binili ko.

Mga sis, i'm looking at ecobabyboutique online store for Inserts/doublers. Ano kaya pinaka match with my grovia hybrid snap shells? I have 10 organic cotton soakers pero kulang pa din. Tagal kasing matuyo eh.

Pa accept naman ako ulit sa mcn, deleted my other acct kasi sa fb. Will use cds ulit sa baby ko pag fit na grovia shells namin on her. Mahal din pampers ab. More than a hundred nagagamit nya in 2 weeks. She'll be turning 2 mos pa lang kasi.
