I think the insert will just probably be absorbing the pool water rather than pee. Oo nga pala, chlorine water may damage elastics, but I know a couple of moms who've tried using pocket diapers as swim diapers and no damage has been done to the diapers. Depende lang siguro how long the baby stays in the water.

i agree with sis skits, the inserts will just soak up the pool water. bale useless din siya and makakabigat lang. pwede na yung shell or cover lang. ang purpose naman niya is to contain or minimize yung pagkalat ng poop if ever ma-poop si baby while in the water.

stay dry ba ang inner part ng Alva CD's? gusto ko kasi sana feeling dry si baby..

as far as i know yes, if pocket diaper. if diaper cover only, wala.

all alva pockets have stay-dry inner lining except for their bamboo diapers. please note, their "covers" are pockets din and they do have stay-dry lining as well.

sa facebook group namin (modern cloth nappying pinays a.k.a. mcnpinays), one of the fave china brands ang alva. here are a few reasons:

1.) simply put, it works. it does what it's supposed to and it does it well.
2.) madaming designs/colors to choose from.
3.) it's one of the most accessible brands kasi it's easy to buy from their site (alvababy.com) - free shipping, no minimum order required. madami din local sellers nito.
4.) the price is right. more or less, same price as other china cds.

eto pa yung ibang china brands:
sunbaby - kaagaw siguro ito ng alva sa award ng most popular china cd. tried and tested, it's got tons of good reviews. even sa US, gustong gusto nila ang sunbaby. there are even groups in the US that consider their sunbaby cds as collectors' items.
babyland/baby leaf/papoose - sabi nila same lang daw itong 3 brands na ito. they're a bit cheaper than alva and sunbaby. reliable din and generally good reviews. maraming local sellers carrying these brands and you can even find these in some malls.
coolababy - nice, unique designs. bamboo charcoal ang inner lining. it has mixed reviews though. some people have leaking issues with their coolas.
happy flute - lots of designs. hindi pa siya tried and tested like the brands i mentioned above pero our group just ordered some. will update with feedback here kapag na-try na namin.
bielesen - not very popular and they only have a few solid colors plus 1 printed design. mas trim and a bit smaller siya than other china cds. so far, only a few of us in the group ang meron nito. okay naman performance niya.
baby wizard - popular ata ito sa malaysia pero made in china din. unique and cute designs, not like yung ibang china cds na minsan magkakamukha na. a little bit more expensive than other china brands pero yung look naman niya parang ka-level ng US cds. like yung double row snap cds nila kamukha ng bumgenius 4.0.
happy b<3m or happy bum - unique designs. kakaiba yung material niya, medyo makapal so parang mainit and medyo wide ang crotch. hindi masiyado favorite ito sa group namin pero sabi naman nung iba okay din daw.

Pinapasuot ko na sa 1 month baby ko yung grovia namin. My mil asked me when she came to visit kung baka daw di maayos mag grow legs ni baby since the cd plus cotton soaker is bulky daw.

sis mikaela325, mahirap talaga i-change ang mind ng mga oldies sa mga paniniwalang ganiyan. baka kahit pakitaan mo pa sila ng medical certificate na sinasabing hindi nakaka-sakang ang cds, hindi pa din sila maniwala. gamit ka na lang ng mas trim na cd pag andiyan si mil, sis.

hi mga sis, interested to buy din ako ng CDs, nakakamessage ko sa FB si thrifty mama pero di pa kami nagdodone kasi ang konti ng stock nya for newborn

san ba sis yung mga diapers na tig 350 lang halos, kasi yung iba, ang mamahal..

hehe! ok sige. gusto ko na din makuha yung order kong babywizard cds. nakakainip. grabe talaga ang mga groupbuy na yan. tinotolerate at kinukunsinti ng isa't isa ang mga kaadikan. wala na ko pera pambirthday ng anak ko. ubos na sa nickis groupbuy.
