Things you refuse to spend money on

^I remember the Financial Talk that I and my husband attended few weeks ago. It was an interview with one of the Filipino Business Tycoons who shared that one of his secrets in conquering his business was by renting a small unit instead of buying a fabulous house. To quote:

"He told me a lot of businessmen in the Philippines, the first thing they do when they become wealthy is they build a big house. His thinking is, inuuna muna niya factories and businesses and he didn't make the house a priority... He would prioritize building factories since they were cash cows," Flores said.

Kanya kanya lang din na priorities siguro regardless of how much you're worth.

On topic, I refuse to spend so much on:
- Bags/Purse/Wallet
- Shoes
- Clothes
- Accessories including jewelry
- Gadget
- Hotel accomodation

However, I won't go for anything that is cheap but would comprise the quality. Example for shoes, hindi naman ako bibili ng tig 100 pesos pero bukas suwelas na lang ang natira. But I won't dare buy a shoe (and maybe a bag) that would cost half of my monthly salary.

With my financial capability - the latest gadget (I simply can't afford it. Ganyan ako kahirap. hehe), anything I liked on impulse such as shoes, trendy clothes, expensive hair and spa treatments (about P5K and up).

Hahahah mahirap lang talaga ako. Mas marami akong kailangan bayaran.

IPHONE 5S ... I still have the Iphone 4 and I didn't have the need to upgrade it to the latest Iphone, and I thought Iphone 5S might persuade me to do so, but now after the launch... let's just say its not worth buying.

Same here. I don't see anything really special with the iPhone 5S, but TBH, if I were to choose between the S4 and the 5S, I'd choose the latter. Can't live without err... language keyboards and a lot of functions/apps that cannot be found on other phones, convenience-wise.

^What do you mean language keyboards Sis? Apps with Iphone mas maganda talaga compared to Samsung... but I saw a lot of improvements na ginawa ng Samsung in the past 2 yrs (in terms of Apps), though there are loads of crappy apps kaya I don't download so much Apps in my Note2.

Nothing against Apple, its just so disappointing how they have not come up with really great upgrades eversince Steve Jobs passed away. Still using an Iphone, but its just a back up phone na lang to the Note2.  And I'm quite excited to get the Note3.  Maybe its just that I have more use with that since it really can help me with my work.

I refuse to spend a lot of money on clothes. Really. Hindi ako bibili unless it's sale. But if it's a timeless piece, then I will buy as long as nasa acceptable price range ko yan damit na yan. Nanghihinayang kasi ako if you will buy it in full price then after a couple of weeks or months lang nasa sale rack na at 70% off the price you bought it for. Nakakaloka.

Also, I don't like to spend money on spa treatments. Nanghihinayang din ako kasi the feeling of relaxation will linger hanggang nasa spa ka lang, pag-alis mo, you're some thousand bucks poorer na so ma-stress ka ulit. Hehe. Ang kuripot ko!

Fake bags - so not worth it. Magtiyaga na lang ako sa bags from Dept. Stores kesa naman try hard na bumili ng knock-off ng LV or Hermes. My workplace is near Quiapo kaya its not worth it to dress up too much. Either I'll look too TH for looking high class or end up being a hold-up victim. Hahaha.

Starbucks/Figaro/Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Coffee - actually frap lang inoorder ko pero OA naman sa mahal ang gumastos ng kape na ganun everyday. Once in a blue moon lang ako mag-splurge sa ganyan.

For personal stuff like clothes, shoes and wristwatches, natuto na ako never to sacrifice quality. Always quality over quantity. Kaya di na ako masyado nag-shop ngayon kasi investment pieces na ang hinahanap ko.

Sis Myalexis21, language keyboards on iOS could be achieved by:

Settings > General > Keyboard. You'll see "Keyboards" there and select any language you want.

Basically, that's one of my necessities when using an iOS device.

These are the things na kaya naman bilhin pero hindi ko talaga ginagastusan:

Luxury hotel accommodations unless it's a staycation. I'd be spending most of the day outside naman eh. Sayang lang.

Fakes, knockoffs or high copy. Napaka-trying hard.

Taxi. By experience, pinakabarubal na drivers around ang taxi drivers. Sa lahat ng public transport, eto talaga pinaka ayaw ko.

I have a rule never to buy more than 12k worth na cellphone. Hindi ko alam bakit 12k. Psychologically eto yung wala akong pakialam kung magdepreciate pa yung cellphone, hindi ako masasaktan kapag nawala at hindi ako mangangamba sa safety ko (from hold-up, snatchers etc)

Yung shoes nga na type na type ko, medyo pricey siya. And since december na, hinihintay ko talagang isale iyon.. hehe  Kuripot ko talaga.
