If I want to buy something or pay for some services iniisip ko talaga ng maraming beses. Kapag di nako makatulog sa kakaisip ng bagay na yun thats the time na binibili ko na sya.

i won't spend on cable subscription after i bought a local  digibox at P2,500 a few months ago para wala ng monthly fees...  a digibox even on bad weather conditions... the reception is still clear.

curtains. though nice to look at mahal ang maintenance than blinds...and with my busy lifestyle i don't have the time to change and wash and fold tapos purchase new ones again  as u can't use curtains naman for a lifetime plus i don't have enough space in the cabinets.

newspaper  subscriptions. i read news through the net so what's the use... 

MLM products even if some of them are legit...no way.

Buffets... lalo na sa Spiral. 2,7k for a buffet is too hefty. that's a week of my marketing budget already.  a lot of people on facebook are into fine dining almost every week sometimes twice/thrice a week pa. i was wondering if my friends and others who are into it could really afford such a lifestyle considering most of them are locally employed. naisip ko lang ang lalaki siguro ng salary nila. it was just my bubble thought whenever i browse through my timeline. anyway to each his own

modular kitchen sold at malls that you can't really use at home kasi they are more of design lang sa house and not for everyday use since made of wood ang kitchen counter nila.

havaianas...though i had one gift lang ni MIL.. hindi nga napupudpod pero napapatid naman. kung ako bumili nun for the price of 1k maiiyak siguro ako

fireworks display that cost thousands during New Year. my gosh makikinood na lang sa kapitbahay. parang sinunog ang pera mo talaga in a few minutes pwede naman  mumurahin lang na magiingay pa din .

- kain sa labas (since nadiscover ko gano katipid yung pagluluto sa bahay omg talaga)
- unnecessary baby things: cologne, powder, oil, wipes (di ko ginagamitan ng mga ito si baby), too much toys, damit (i scout pre-loved clothes)
- shopping for myself (although guilty ako, mukhang nalosyang ata ako. i have spare naman for shopping sana but i find no thrill in shopping anymore, bigla ako naging homebody. TBH, i'd rather sleep)

1.   movies, except for those "worth" watching in the big screeen
2.   taxi, especially if yun taxi dadaanan din naman sa ruta ng jeep
3.   wala kaming cable sa bahay, yun tv ginagamit lang for watching movies/tv series
4.   expensive coffee, dati super hilig namin ni bf/now hubby na mag date sa starbucks, coffee bean, seattle's pero magmula nunn natry namin sa bahay dati magdate ayun no more coffee dates na, pag nagcrave kaming coffee while we're in the mall mcdo coffee okay na sa amin
5.   wala din kaming landline tsaka dsl sa bahay, sun wifi okay na sa amin
6.   super expensive toiletries, basta hiyag kami okay na
7.   expensive restos, ayoko masyado ng fine dining sayang pera eh hindi naman kami mapili sa food, though I admit hubby and i love to eat at buffet especially those that have steaks and sashimi
8.   designer clothes and shoes okay na ako kahit anong brand or kahit unbranded basta comfortable ako and alam kong tumatagal naman and as long as hindi fake/imitation, pet peeve ko pa naman yan. one time si hubby bumili ng prada sling bag hay naku i asked him talaga to donate or dispose it, pero I can't give up buying fitflop super comfy kasi talaga sa paa kahit maghapon kaming magmall maglakad hindi napapagod paa ko unlike flat shoes
9.   designer bags, first wala pa ako pambili and second parang di ko maatim bumili ng isang bag na pwede ko ng ipangtravel abroad. mas gusto ko pang mag travel kesa bumili ng mamahalin bag, nine west, lacoste okay na sa akin na bags, at pag bumibili ako hanggang sa masira yan dun ko lang papalitan. usually every 3 years ako kung magpalit ng bag
10.   jewelries and watches, okay na sa akin na may nagagamit na tig iisang item (1 earrings, 1 ring, 1 necklace, 1 watch) bibili lang ako pag sira na yun nagagamit ko
11.   staycations on high end hotels, yun ipambabayyad namin dun pang out of town na lang namin, say 5k up na hotel room makakarating na kaming baguio nun, which is our favorite go to vacation place
12.   magazine subscriptions, internet na lang ako magbabasa
13.   perfumes in malls, suki kami ni hubby sa cash and carry
14.   cosmetic enhancements, i don't have the money for it and im also not willing to change how i look
15.   ATM fees, kay hubby na lang ako papawithdraw mag fund transfer na lang ako sa kaniya, mas madami kasing atm sa office nila kesa sa amin
16.    regular price airline tickets, grabe when we need to go to the province last february super hinayang talaga ko sa 6k RT ticket ko, eh pag nakasale 2-3k lang RT na
17.   Things/services that I can do, ayaw na ayaw ko nagbabayad ng travel agency, coordinator, etc, kaya ko naman gawin yun, in fact tuwang tuwa ako pag ako nagpplan ng mga lakad and events namin, gusto ko na ngang maningil ng professional fee. hahahaha
18.   nail services na ubod ng mahal, ambiance lang babayaran ko sa kanila
19.   mga kung ano anong gamit sa bahay, we are adopting a minimalist lifestyle so dapat lahat ng gamit sa bahay functional

starbucks coffee. buti nalang mabilis ako magka toncilitis kaya bihira ako uminom nito.

Pabango, i usually wait for gifts or pasalubong
Make up, nagpamember ako sa avon para may discount
membership na may bayad like gym, S&R, etc

Otherwise, anything goes. The key is to look at value, not cost. It doesn't really matter how much something costs, if it is able to provide sufficient value.

A lot of people think magastos ako, pero I think if you add it all up, I am actually one of the most frugal in my circle of friends. Yes, I buy expensive stuff, but I also buy much less stuff. I also spend on what some may consider as expensive services, but they are also able to provide much more value (e.g. time-savings). Personally, I think it's too bad that a lot of people can't get past the money cost of things vs the real value of things.

I think too many people get into the trap of "kaya ko naman gawin, bakit pa ako gagstos". This is a self-limiting belief.

Think of it this way, lahat naman tayo marunong maglaba - but does that mean you shouldn't spend for laundry services? Is that really the best use of your time? Maglalaba ka ng 3 oras just to save 600 pesos? What if you instead spent those 3 hours starting a side business that can earn more than 600 pesos in 3 hours?

I agree sa laundry. Ang effort kase maglaba, magsampay at magtiklop. Madami pang mas pedeng gawin sa time.

BUSINESS/FIRST CLASS PLANE TICKETS - we just fly coach, kahit pa long-haul. the plane will head to the same destination, anyway. the only time nakaka-business class kami ni hubby is if we are upgraded, which has only happened twice. sinulit ko pa. talagang dinama ko yung waiting lounge and lahat ng amenities. hahaha! 

MAID - it's just me and hubby, so no need. besides, i never want to have a stranger in the house. pero i 'outsource' laundry.

PERFUME - nahihilo ako sa amoy (kahit pa chanel yan)

NAIL SALON - those toxic nail polish chemicals get into your system

ICED TEA SA RESTOS - sobrang tamis, daming calories, and overpriced! mas healthy pa ang coke kesa iced tea. anyway, water na lang, or kaya fresh fruit juice if meron.

GYM MEMBERSHIP - meron naman basic gym sa condo

4/5 STAR HOTELS - unless free because of work. kung personal travel, we usually don't spend more than $100 a night. pwede na kami sa 2 or 3 star.

3. Gym membership - pumayat naman ako dati ng running and diet lang, thru reading books ang research ng proper diet, sinamahan ko lang ng  discipline at determination.

OT: Things I'm willing to spend naman eh, watch, ito talaga collection ko

ni break ko na to. Napa sign up ako sa Slimmers World dahil sa company discount. So half price lang binayaran ko for 6 mos membership plus the personal trainer.

for me:

1. gambling - nagtry kami dati dahil sa foreigner na friend ni hubby nagvacay dito, bigay na nga yung money hindi ko pa magastos para dun. haha.

2. salon - no hair treatment since birth.  mani & pedi, may pumupunta sa house pero super dalang lang.

3. concert tickets - parang hindi worth it.

4. make-up - mga bigay ng mama or friends ko, pero hindi naman nagagamit.

5. credit card - inaattempt kong magtry pero laging dalawang isip.

6. gym subscription - dun ako sa free gym sa ofis or free workout techniques madami naman sa YT

I refuse to buy cheap things or non trusted brands. You think nakamura ka pero mas mahal din kasi madali masira. May libre pang inis at pagsisisi.

-Make up- I dont wear any except for a lip crayon and sometimes powder.

- (for abroad-based Girltalkers like me) Remittance fee. I make sure to remit money only to one account then do a fund transfer for my mom and brother; that way I only pay the fee once for the transaction
