i read this thread many times. just wanna share that last monday i had my interview and i got a visa! i'm a first time applicant. i still dont know if i got a multiple entry still waiting for my passport. i learned a lot from this thread pero d pa rin nawala ang kaba ko. when you get to the counter mawawala lahat ng kaba mo then everything will just go smoothly that is kung wala kang tinatago. the consul didn't asked for any documents and almost all the questions he asked was in the form.

how long ive been working in my company
are my parents gonna pay for my trip
am i still living with my parents
is my sister a permanent resident in the us
how long will i be staying in us


the final interview i'm estimating it lasted for 5 mins lang. mas madaming tanong if you declared you have your own business kasi from what i heard and saw that day the bald caucasian consul denied business women around 25-30 3 yung denied sa kanya with the same profile. i was watching his window from my seat in the waiting area kaya nabilang ko talaga.

before feeling ko ibibitay na ako habang palapit na ng palapit yung interview day ko then nung natapos na parang ok... yun na yun? i stressed myself out for a simple thing. d talaga ako nakatulog before my interview!

so for those first time applicants just stay positive, pray (helps a lot), be honest and good luck!

^hi sis, based on experience: no, they don't leave any mark on your passport. they just give you the blue paper stating the reason why you were denied.

thanks sis! it's good to know they don't stamp anything on your passport. dati kase when i applied & got denied eh they stamped received ata & the date. but that was a long time ago... mga late 1998 pa ata. Now lang ako maglalakas loob mag try ulit.

yes sis. magaling system ng US eh. since nasa US mom/parents, they'll input lang the name tapos mag-aappear na yun sa system nila.

^that's good input sis. I'll just tell them my mom is in the States on a working visa. In fairness naman, she never did TNT, she's there for a ligitemate reason.

I just received my invitation to the conference. Ito na lang sasabihin ko na reason sa consul kung bakit ako magttravel. Although self-expense to (hindi sagot ng company kasi hindi naman ako regular employee). Sana I'll get a visa kahit hindi company sponsored.

Ano po ba yung Appointment letter? I will be having my interview po this June 21 (Sana po makapasa). And one of the requirements I need to bring is the appointment letter. Eto po ba yung prinint na document or will the embassy send it to me prior the interview?
Sana po makapas po. Sino po dito ang nakapasa po applying for a B2 visa?
Please share po. Tumataas na po ang anxiety level ko. Hays.

@ jennpot, pwede naman na di sponsored ng company. basta you could prove to them that you could afford it. so you have to prepare your bank statements to show that you have money. pero kasi baka ibase nila sa salary mo yun. if your salary is not that high maybe you could put the name of your father as the sponsor of your trip. and show the bank statements of your dad as well. you could also bring your certificate of employment with approved leaves on the days that you plan to be in the US for your exam and conference.

saka dapat alam mo lahat ng details ng exam at conference na plan mong puntahan. para pag tinanong ka maexplain mong mabuti why you need to take that exam and why you have to be in that conference.

yung status ng mom mo sa US sure ka talaga na working visa hawak nya. you also have to know everything about your mom in the US kasi pwede ka nilang tanungin about that.

basta pag natanong ka about your trip convince them that you're coming back here. like in may case, my salary is not that high and of course i cannot afford to pay for that US trip using my own money. my mom sponsored that trip. during the interview i was asked when do i plan to travel. reply ko i plan to leave on december because i will use my remaining paid leaves for 2010 and all of my paid leaves for 2011. feeling ko kaya ako nabigyan ng tourist visa dahil sa sagot ko na yan. kasi nakita ng consul na kailangan ko bumalik dito because i have to work.

invitation letter from her sister, sample ng wedding invitation na naka-address to her, bank statement or financial capability nng sister since yun ang magsponsor. provide na rin siya ng proof na she's working her or any proof na babalik siya ng pinas.

yes sis, better if yung sa conference na lang. kase diba di mo sinabi about sa mom mo dati? i am sure na alam nila na u lied dati. try mo rin pakiusapan yung company to sponsor you. letter lang  naman yun sis. yung friend ko ganun din part-time lang siya tapos nakiusap siya na kung pwede siya sponsoran kase andun bf niya kaso TNT bf niya so di niya pwede sabihin yun dba, ang hinanap lang is letter na she's employed tapos letter of sponsorship., she doesn't even have money sa bank. 20k pesos nga lang daw savingsa niya eh. 10years multiple pa binigay sa kanya. that was last year pero di pa rin siya nakakaalis till now kase she's planning to look for a work din dun kaya nag-iipon ata. just be confident sa interview.

sis try checking your email..usually ang appointment letter is sent through email..pwedeng galing siya sa NVC..the date and time of your interview are stated in that letter as well as your case number..you need to print a copy of that and present it on your interview..Good luck!

yeah kung tutuusin, legal naman ang status ng mom ko dun (working visa sponsored by company since 2009). Papakiusapan ko na lang rin yung boss ko na magletter na necessary yung conference for my profession.

pansin ko lang rin, dapat talaga confident sa interview. para makita nila na hindi ka magiging fugitive!:D

 Medyo matagal din ang process niyan. My friend applied for her student visa 4 months ago, the uscis sent her a letter awknowledging they have received your application. Until now wala parin result.

Anyway, kelangan pa ba ng health insurance ng magpapainterview ng tourist? tanda ko kasi yung lola ko nuon, hinanapan ng health insurance ng consul but that was 2002 pa.

OMG! I re-scheduled our appointment from August 14 to June 28! Thanks so much iflipcess for the update! If not for you hindi ako magca-cancel previous appointment! May June 29 and July 5,6,12,13,16,17,19 and 20 pa as of 3:15pm today.

^^It's not mandatory to present a health insurance when applying for B1/B2 visas, unlike when applying for Schengen visas. But it does help in having one when travelling anywhere.
