now it's my mom's turn for visa renewal. sa VRP parang qualified naman siya. nahahassle lang ako dahil online [textspeak!] application and i have to type for her, eh ang poor ng broadband ko minsan. haba pa ng application.

I need your advice please. What are my chances of getting b2 visa kaya? I've already paid the visa fee. And almost tapos ko na yung DS-160 form. Hindi lang ako makapag-schedule ng interview kasi hindi ako sigurado kung ano ang ilalagay ko sa "persons travelling with you". I don't know kung i'll be travelling with my Daddy ba or ako lang mag-isa.. tutol kasi ang daddy ko sa pag-apply ko ng US visa here in Tokyo kasi he knows that I'll be with my boyfriend. I'm gonna meet his family there. Hehe. Please assess my profile.

Medyo confident naman ako sa profile ko, pero do I have a better chance of getting a visa if i'm going to apply with my father? Tagal ko na kasi siyang niyayaya mag-apply ng US visa pero hindi niya ako pinapansin. Mag-apply na ba ako on my own or kailangan kong i-convince yung daddy ko na mag-apply na din para kunwari dalawa kaming magbabakasyon sa USA?

Yup!! I think that would be better that you will indicate you will travel with your father. Ako I said I was going to travel with my family and my father will be paying for my trip. I got a  10 year multiple again and was asked only my name and my birthdate.

Dont you write a boy's name under the US contacts. Dapat girls name para kunwari best friend mo. If you will indicate your boyfriend's address, use his sisters name. They might or mostly likely will assume if you write a boys name na boyfriend mo yun and you will get married sa states.

renewing an expired (di umabot sa VRP) multiply visa of hubby sana....but he's currently in between jobs    since late february.  we do have a COE of this dated late february also.  can we use this kaya?  pls advise what to do with his situation? 

have previous traveled in Japan (2x), New Zealand, Australia, China  ....will be staying at our aunt in california and paying for our own trip...  have min $15k show money also.  tia.

Pag sa VRP ba kailangan yung old passport kung nasaan yung first US visa na binigay? Pano kunb wala na iyong passport? Regular application nalang?

Yes m_lim for regular application na pag ganun. Kasi kukunin nila lahat ng passports. They need all the passport that was issued to you since you got the US multiple visa.

May 10 years ako dati. Eh diba 5 years lang valid passport natin dito sa pinas?! So I gave them the passport where the visa is attached, my last visa na may ibang tatak ng entry ko sa states plus my new passport. In total 3 passports ang kinuha nila. Buti nga hindi ko tinapon kahit gusto ko siyang itapon dati pa.

You can call the hotline to make sure baka makalusot. Pero alam ko dapat you meet ALL the requirements listed on the VRP program.

They really do look for all passports. Bawal may gap in between or else regular application Lang. I saw that happen to some applicants when I did VRP last year.

sis, had gone to the US for 1-2 times but his last trip there was 90's pa.  the expired multiply usa visa was 2011.  thank you.

my younger brother once lang nakapunta using his past 10 year multiple and was turning 21 and single when he renewed his visa under the VRP program. He got another 10 year visa. Best to get an employment certificate no later than 2 months. Para di masyadong na question. Married applicants i believe have a better chance than single applicants.

hi sisses, i hope you can help me solve my dilemma. this is my situation:

last January 2011, I applied for a tourist and I was denied. I was a student then, and I have never gone outside the Philippines. My mom is in the US on a working visa. I was to visit my mother sana. Kasi more than 2 years ko na sya hindi nakikita. Pina-travel agency nya ako (the same agency she used to get her tourist visa before getting a working visa). So the travel agency taught me how to answer the consul's questions. Syempre I was a student, sunod lang ako ng sunod sa kanila.

One of the things they told me is I have to tell the consul both my parents are in the philippines. And dapat sabihin ko din ang job nila dito. Totoo naman yung part about my dad, yung part lang about my mom yung I didn't tell the truth. I told the consul my mother is here helping manage the business of my father.

After all that denied ako kasi the consul thought I would not stay temporarily there in the US because I've never travelled before. Parang, nagsususpetsa sila bakit US yung first trip ko.

Now my status has changed, ang dami nang naiba like I work in a very popular US consumer/pharmaceutical company. Hindi naman ganoon kalaki ang sweldo pero enough for my needs. I graduated Pharmacy. And I have travelled to some countries (1 country required a visa).

I will apply for a tourist visa now so that I can take an exam in the US on november. My dilemma is...

Should I tell the consul that my mother is in the states on a working visa? May record kaya sila, sisses, kung anong sinabi ko the past interview? Actually gusto ko talaga sabihin yung totoo this time.  But I'm afraid kasi baka may consequence yung inconsistency from before.

Please help me! TIA.

^ if i were you, sana nung 1st interview sinabi mo na na nasa US yung mom mo. para mas justified bakit ang 1st trip mo outside the Phil ay US. may possibility na nakita nila na nasa US yung mom mo during the interview. At kung sasabihin mo ngayon na nasa US ang mom mo, machecheck nila kung kailan pumunta mom mo dun at baka matanong ka pa bakit ka nagsinungaling nung unang visa application mo.

what's the exam for this November? baka naman isipin nila na kaya ka mag exam dun is to work. wala bang sponsored trip (like for a seminar/training/convention) to the US yung office mo? baka kasi mas madali kung yung company yung magpapadala syo sa US.

^^thanks for the reply @coldsiren. it's an equivalency exam for pharmacists. it is not an exam for licensure in the US. pero ang purpose of it is to find if pharmacy education here is equivalent to the education there. some use it to assess kung dito ba sila sa pilipinas magppost graduate education.

Yeah, against my conscience din na sinabi ko na my mom is here in the Philippines. The agency people were insisting na hindi nila malalaman na andun yung mom ko. And I thought they were the experts when it comes to this kaya sunod naman ako.

Actually there is this conference na pwede kong puntahan (related sa profession ko) on October sa states. Pero hindi sasagutin ng company yun kasi wala namang pakielam sa professional growth ng consultants yung company namin. My question is, okay lang ba kahit walang sponsorship letter from the company? Kasi ako naman ang magbabayad if ever.

mga sis, tanong ko lang kapag na deny ka ba they stamp something on your passport? or i read somewhere na parang may pink slip lang ata na ibibigay sa iyo. Natatakot kase ako na if ever ma deny ako baka pag nag apply ako ng visa sa ibang countries eh maka affect. thanks.

^hi sis, based on experience: no, they don't leave any mark on your passport. they just give you the blue paper stating the reason why you were denied.
