But I agree with you, madalas one or two people lang talaga nauutusan sa entourage so may hinayang factor to spend on their clothes. I also think that if a dress looks very much like a bridesmaid's dress, people don't really use them again, no matter how pretty. Are you set na ba on a particular design? What you can do-and this is a growing trend, methinks- is have non-matching bridesmaids dresses. Just have them follow a particular color scheme/ design and maybe they can use the same or similar fabric. They might not even have to have something tailor-made. There are plenty of RTW options when you do it that way, in which case, maybe you won't be obligated to pay for it. Or even if you do, maybe it'll come out cheaper. Or maybe they even have something in their closet they can use. You can do a Google images search for non-matching dresses to get ideas. I personally love the effect and the play of colors and designs. Then maybe they can just wear a unifying accessory, like floral hairpieces or pearl necklaces or nude pumps.

me, i just bought RTW cocktail dresses for my girls. bought 5 pieces of different colors and two different styles. bought pinkish peach, green, purple, not so light blue and gold (or bronze ba yun? hehe) at 400php each. will buy hot pink for the little girl, wala pa lang ako mahanap na magandang rtw.

Hi mooncake and leaves. Thanks for the inputs    I don't have a mananahi yet, I'm still on the look out for one. Well, as opposed to what others might view as practical wherein they ask their ento to pay for their clothes, my fiancee and I opted to pay na lang for the whole ento's dress and suits. I don't want one of them popping up in my wedding looking out of this world (we can't dictate on their fashion taste di ba?) And of course it would look elegant if their dresses and suits have this "coherence" with the others and will be suitable to the theme and the "feel" i want to project for the wedding  Also, since most of my ento's are my cousins, I want them to be able to use their gowns again that's why the styles and the cloths we'll be using is really top class. You see, i have this belief that the "look" of your entourage reflects the bride's taste.  . Thanks again for your inputs sis, I learned something and may still be able to check out your suggestion if i can't find a good mananahi.

pa join hi! i just wondered if we are responsible for the gown of each bridesmaid? kasi i bought the tela for them, gave them several designs that looked almost similar nd bahala na sila. para they can use it again nd di sila mukhang polka dancers. Sayang mura sana gowns sa tutuban.

sis chubbycheeks i actually have no idea about the prices. kasi truth be told, namamahalan talaga ako sa lahat e. hehe.... kasi once ko lang naman sya gagamitin...pero lifetime ko sya makikita kasi maiimmoratlize sya sa mga pics and videos no?     well 40-50k will do pakyaw na dapat yon. ano kaya ang rate ni ate vangie? parang mas gusto ko ang fitting nya compared kay ate magda. And nung mabasa ko yung feedback kay magda, naku po my god in heaven forbid na mangyari sa akin yon dahil magwawarla ako talaga. baka maging xena the warrior princess ako at di na maging princessice . I know what you mean by female ento's na umaaattitude pa. I have one friend college friend ko sya actually. would you believe siya pa ang namimili ng role? ano ba ito? naisip ko... sya na ang bride! hay kaimbyerna talaga.... ayon in the end tinanggal ko sya sa list ng entourage ko. Di pa nga kami nagsastart e inaagaw na sa akin ang role ko as a bride. ^sis, kung 40-50k ang budget mo, i guess sobra pa yun, kung kay ate vangie ha.. sya kinuha ko.. yung quote nya sa akin, 17k for my gown, 3k for my mom's (gown peg: edward teng), 5k for h2b's barong & pants, 1200 for dad's barong, 1k each yung pang abay.. although simple lang ang peg ko for my gown.. pero yung iba kasing mabusisi ang gown, mga 23k ang quote nya.. so your budget, pasok na pasok yan..

plus, good decision ang pagtsugi sa OA pa sa bride kung umasta. hehe...

hi sis aug23mky talaga? pwedeng pa-sight ng gown mo?  baka kasi 30k ang singilin nya sa akin pag nakita nya na yung gown na isip ko... hehe...  talaga affordable na nga yung rate ni ate vangie... may contact number ka ba nya? baka pwedeng mahingi...  Thanks in advance   oo super good move nga talaga yung ginawa ko. Tas I overheard her saying na dapat daw super maganda sya sa day ng kasal ko kasi para daw makita ng mga tao na sya ang pinakamaganda doon. HELLO as in capital letters, i-outstage daw ba ang bride? Rude MUCH!

princessice: no prob but just to be clear, when i said non-matching dresses, i meant non-identical dresses. it doesn't mean there's no coherence there. typically, they still follow a particular color scheme and employ the same kind of fabric. or sometimes, it's the exact same dress only they come in a variety of colors. it also doesn't mean you won't get to dictate what they'll wear because the dresses need to achieve a particular effect and order for them to make sense when taken as a whole. yun nga lang, it can be challenging to put them all together. but you know, whatever works for you. suggestion lang naman 'yan. i'm sure whatever you decide, it'll come out great. happy preps and good luck on your wedding

princessice - sis, I think, 40K - 50K is more than enough. not sure sa current rate ni Ate Vangie but I'm pretty sure na madami pang sobra sa allotted amount mo about Ate Magda, yeah, nabasa ko nga all her hits and misses. sad lang. imo, promising ang quality ng gowns nya. re female entou na may attitude, congrats for letting her go kasi ikaw lang ang ma-stress. ganyan din nangyari sa first MOH ko. she's insisting to have a tea-length gown when I want floor-length gowns for all. ang kulit nya kasi kaya ayun, I replaced her. when we talked again, I decided to get her as SS. wala na siyang reklamo about floor-length gown. tee hee!

kung may design ka na na gusto, I would suggest for you to go sa Abbylyn's sa cubao para ipa-custom made mu na lang. P1500 any designs for bridal shoes, ako ankle boots ang pinagawa ko, it's P1800..

Practical Bride here too..

Instead of hiring bridal car, i decided to hire our service tricycle. (its not the typical tricycle we saw in the street.. (it looks like a ferrari tricyle hahaha) from colors down to the small details.. i cant wait for my own wedding

For the gowns of my entou. instead of hiring a good mananahi i decided to buy them a infinity dress, (Dress para magamit pa nila sa ibang okasyon)

  super happy ako kahit mejo busy ang peg ko, nakakakuha pa rin ako ng time to look for my suppliers
