Bank Equities

BPI along with Security Bank and PNB.
BPI's Equity funds aren't really that good though.

The only BPI equity fund I invest in is their Index Fund.

I also invest in Security Bank's equity fund.. its performance
has been good.

I open an account with security bank yesterday peso equity fund. Mukang mali ata desisyon ko since nasa correction stage naba ang stocks ngayon?

Reading the posts here, I am thinking na mali ata na sa BPI short term fund ako kumuha ng UITF. Wala kasi holding period unlike BDO.

Mas mabuti ba kung ilipat ko na sa BDO yun inopen kong UITF sa BPI? Or hatiin ko na lang sila isang BPI isang BDO.

Money market pinaka safe for me.maliit [textspeak!] interest pero safe unlike equity. Hindi kasi ako risk taker. paara sa aking pananaw lang hehe

Note that we're talking about equity funds here.

BPI Short Term Fund is a money market fund.
And its different for money market funds.

BDO's money market fund has performed
just a little bit better but BPI's money market fund
is a winner in other areas

- Low minimum and subsequent investment amounts
- No holding period
- Can invest and redeem online with just one business day
turn around time

BDO's YTD performance is 0.79%
whereas BPI's YTD performance is 0.78%

0.01% is not worth the holding period and the bigger
minimums and the hassle of needing to go to a BDO
branch to add/redeem everytime.

anong mga UITF mga sis ang meron kayo, and how is/are the performance(s)?

ang meron lang ako ngayon ay BDO Equity kaso diko gusto yung fact na everytime gusto ko mag top up dapat i-redeem ko or bagong placement ang dating nya.

meron bang ibang banks and uitfs na "online transfer" ang pagpplace? like deduct mo sa savings/checking mo tas auto add-on?

^BPI UITF short term fund meron ako. Online transfer lang ginagawa ko sa BPI deduct dun sa nominated savings account ko.

habang mababa, buy lang if may extra, kasi in the long run for long term investor, tataas at tataas naman talaga

oy mga sissies tumaas na yung mga equities ng banko ha sayang hindi pa ako nakabili sa bdo ngayon mataas na... huhuhuhu di kasi ako nakabol late binigay yung 13th month namin, pati yung phillippine stock index fund ng bpi tumaas na din sya ngayon,  812. na kelan kaya bababa ang mga equities?? para makasali na ako

Ang presyo is always relative.

Back at the peak of 2007 right before the crash the PSEi was at 3.7k
Again that was the peak then it went all crashing down.

And now a few years later, its at more than 7k.

Invest now. the stock market is always on an upward trend.

sis mxherr5 ... natawa ako talaga, sa graph na shinare mo...hahahaa  ganyan nga sis ako, teka muna wait bababa pa to para madami ako units na mabili, ay tumaas na??? sige wait ako next week baka bumaba na yung market... oh no??? tumaas na lalo, sayang hindi ako nakasakay,, try ko next week , ayan bumaba n siya, hintayin ko muna baka bumababa sayang din nman yung percent na yan... hahahah hanggang ayon.. kinalimutan ko na ng kinalimutan gangtinamad na ako....

I have this bad habit of waiting for the prices to go down, and in the end, wala ako nasimulan. So for this month, opened Security back peso equity. Then next month sana Philequity naman. aside from the potential gains ng UITF, I also want to put here my extra savings. I tend to buy unnecessary things knowing I have extra money on my savings account. Might as well the extra money into UITF.

I also transferred na from BPI to SB. Hoping they will be able to maintain the same growth. Then next naman FAMI to PEMI. hopefully this week. Pero inaantay ko pa din si COL na magopen ng PEMI sana para nasa isang platform na lang. I want to consolidate as much as possible.
