Thanks a lot sis :) typo nga I mean before 12 pm or 12 noon kukunin.

Buhay.

Why? Equity funds are for the long haul and you said you
just recently invested right?

Why would you be concerned about a down market now?

I agree with Mxherr. Pangmatagalan talaga ang equity fund - IMHO, more than 10 years dapat nandoon para marealize na talagang kumita ang pondo nang malaking-malaki. Sort of a fund that you should "forget". It's actually perfect for putting up retirement funds.

Yeah you're right, but nobody wants a down market, especially not newbie investors. It's just not encouraging I guess. But I'm not pulling out my funds for a very long time.

Ang funny sa case ko ngayon, USD savings account ko ang may paper gain ngayon then bagsak ang Mutual funds ko.  Quits lang.  Tama lang yung bumili ako ng maraming USD nung time na 40 ang forex.  I think its time for me to buy ngayon ng MF since bagsak sya, maramihan instead of my usual monthly hulog as PSGFI was PHP606 before while today its PHP534.

^ kung ok nga talaga sana equities nila. Puro mga conservative investments ko lang ang nandoon - as conservative as the bank.

Oh well, we can't have it all. Sa BDO naman, no pain no gain.  :P

right now, you won't have a choice.
PSIF is still closed to new investments.

May certificate of participation bang makukuha sa BPI funds?

If I open another investment account in BPIexpressonline, can I also ask a hardcopy of that certificate of participation to be released sa branch of convenience ko?

The way BPI does it is different to how BDO does it.
Sa BPI kasi, you get a certificate of participation VIA MAIL
when you invest then you get a certificate of redemption
once you redeem.
In otherwords, you really don't need the certificate of participation.

BDO on the otherhand requires you to surrender the COP
prior to redemption.

I also have UCPB btw and UCPB operates the same way
as BPI does.

Via mail? As in sa post office?  :o

It is not passed through some other courier? Sana kasabay sa mga taga bigay ng bank statements (I have a checking account) at CC bills nila as those things come on time.

I noticed a problem with the post office - at least in my place. Mail takes 3 months bago matanggap. I recently got hold of that Sunlife bill - as in stuck sa PO sa amin nareceive pa noong April tapos last week ko lang nakuha.  ::)

Actually, I'm not sure.
Normally, if its via courier, the envelope would be
inside the a plastic bag with the courier's logo right?

All of my bank statements don't come in those.

But it does take sometime before I get the certificates
now that I think about it.
Then again, its not a big deal since I can still do redemptions
without the physical certificate so its all good.
