Buti na lang sa amin nung first time ko sa Golden Crown honest si Ken na sinabi nya before our trip na on our last night need namin lumipat ng room sa 6th floor kasi may nakareserve na dun sa ginagamit naming room (first 5 days). At least honest. Hay.

^madami na ditong bad reviews about Hk taisan burlington branch.  Ganun talaga siya. If anyone can do something to make things right that would be good!

Is it recommended to bring tripod in Disneyland and Ocean Park?  We plan kasi for family pics.

yung agency that i contacted offered Silka Seaview or Panda Hotel instead of Silka Far East.

mukhang okay yung Silka Sea View. 2 rooms kaming family. 2 pax lang kasi kasya sa rooms nila.
they're quoting me ng P59k for everything. including airfare, tour and transfers sa HK and Shenzhen.

kaso i have to pay in full na. e next yr pa ang travel.

5 years old na son ko, baka awkward na tignan sa stroller.  ok lang naman siguro noh?

I also have a question regarding octopus card... refundable naman yun 50hkd na deposit diba? bale there will be 7hkd charge so 43hkd refundable plus all the unused amount? tama ba?

my 6 year old also rode the stroller whenever my 3 year old wanted to walk.  imo, kahit na medyo malalaki na kids ko for this, mas convenient naman =) i actually wished we brought 2 strollers kasi madali talagang mapagod ang mga bata. 

for the octopus card, i think i got the full amount in some of our cards na hindi na overcharge.  yung iba kasi kinulang so they took that amount from the 50hkd.  for the unused, not so sure kasi we tried to use up all the load sa mannings sa airport so yung card lang talaga ang itinira namin.  =)

oh regarding taisan burlington.  ang sad.  buti na lang when i emailed taisan, ken, the owner recommended the harirela branch instead.  our stay last march 21-24 was totally smooth and worry-free.  may i ask how you booked with taisan burlington?  through their site din ba or straight kay yolly?

Going back to HKG on Friday for the nth time at suddenly my son insists on joining the dad on his flight. Hayy...kahinayang lang cos all he wants is to ride the AEL and Disney resort line train, then uwi MNL again the next day. Boo. Not particularly fond of flying during Friday the 13th.

Hopefully none of you here were affected by last night's HKG airport delays due to the disabled Emirates A380 blocking one runway for some hours. Blasted a couple of tires and took a long time for passengers to disembark. 

Oh my! We were affected by this one. Haha! We were all wondering bakit ayaw pa umalis ng flight namin and we were blaming the four people na hinihintay pa. Ayun naman pala, it's the Emirates plane. Good thing we were just delayed for an hour. Our flight's captain said other planes took 2-3 hours. Sheesh. We should have been in Manila at around 11pm but we arrived na ng 2am. And yung flight na nauna sa amin halos kasabay lang din namin dumating. Hassle.

But overall, the HK trip was so fun! I love the place. It was very easy to navigate around the area.

Anyway, I've read about the bad feedback on Taisan and good thing when I tried booking for the place, wala nang available na rooms. Oh well. It's sad to know.

If anyone will be going to HK, I would recommend the guesthouse where we stayed in. Me and my family stayed in Majestic Guesthouse. It's located along Haiphong Road, just across the A1 exit of the TST MTR station. I think its owner is the same as Sealand Guesthouse and another one which I forgot. I just opted to choose majestic because of the location.

Of course you don't expect much from the rooms, it's similar to the size of the usual rooms in HK guesthouses. But I can assure you that the place is clean. The rooms are maintained everyday by the helper Aileen (I hope I got her name right) and very friendly si Mr. Thomas, who was the contact person.  Water is provided everyday and you have your own electric pot per room. Pwede din makigamit ng microwave and freezer.

It's a little expensive lang than the other guesthouses (It costs 500 HKD/night for the double room and 720 HKD/night for the triple room) pero sobrang convenient naman ng lugar and very accessible and very clean.

Para makatipid kaya we plan to rent one wheelchair na lang for my mom (63 yrs old), and then pwede makisakay na lang son ko whenever he feels tired.  kesa one wheelchair and one stroller. i am sure my mom would be walking din naman half of the time. tsaka panglagay ng gamit kasi nakakapagod yun madaming bitbit.

marami kayang available na wheelchair?

another question: has anyone tried availing of the Star Recognition Pack promo?  Balak namin avail yun free lang.

@engroselle sis mabilis lang mag navigate sa hk ...so you don't really need na mag pa book thru agency dahil mas mahal sa kanila. Ang ginawa ko I used google map and print out the pages ayun no hassle ang vacation.

mga sis, pa advise naman pls.

i plan to travel sa Hk on Oct with my toddler (1.5yrs old) and 13 yr old kid. hassle ba na may kasama toddler kasi syempre may pram kami tapos ako lang ang adult. im thinking na sa disneyland lang mostly ang time namin and of course a bit of shopping kung kaya since may baby!

i was looking online and seems good deal sa cosmo hotel mongkok. any feedbacks? by the way, first time ko sa HK so kind of scary since may baby pa akong kasama at ako lang ang adult

sisses, meron naman sigurong electrical outlets sa mga guesthouse no? for charging ng cam and phone...  we just need to bring adaptors na lang?

^yes meron naman sis. don sa golden crown may extension sila & hindi na kelangan ng adaptor, derecho saksak lang.

Sa mga may dalang kids: Precaution lang.  This is Hongkong Guide parin naman.  Sana hindi OT.

At first I was hesistant to buy yun "tali for kids" (I don't know what its called), because my son is already 5.4 yrs old na and 3 naman kami adults with him.  Tsaka parang more attention grabbing pag may tag pa.  Pero lastnight, upon hearing the story from my friend, hindi na ako magdadalawang isip, i will really buy one na.

Last night, kwento ng friend ko, yun friend ng sis-in-law ng friend ng friend ko (haba noh), inside Disneyland, nag-restroom ang magkapatid (age and gender not sure, around 6 and 8 yrs old) without an adult accompanying them, sa labas nag-antay ang parents.  They waited long outside, when they checked wala na dun ang magkapatid.  They did their best to look for them, but to no avail.  Sinabi ng staff na laganap ang kidnapping inside Disneyland kasi nga dami kids.  They asked Disneyland to close all exits para halughugin buong park, hindi pumayag Disneyland.  They went home to Manila without their kids.  No updates yet as to what happened.

Kahit mas attention grabbing ang meron tag for my son, bibili na ako.  Even with tags, let us not be confident parin, madali lang naman gupitin ang tali especially in crowded places.  They should always be where we can see them. And don't let them be far away from us.

I also heard of another version this time it happened at Rockwell naman. True or not basta ang importante always be on the look out for suspicious characters and never take your eyes away from your kids. Never be distracted because that is the first thing any wrongdoer will do.

^if you google disneyland kidnapping may mga nagsasabing Disney is a satanist and the kidnapping is an inside job and they offer the kids as a sacrifice.  I heard about this so before I went to Disneyland I told my child about it.
