Hi mga sis!!! i'm back from a 5 day stay at Ilocos. Hay kapagod, at butas ang bulsa!! hehe. pero oks lang, worth the 14 hours trip, grabe. we came back last week pa so here's my share
We changed plans 5 hours before we went to Partas Bus Station at Cubao. WE decided to proceed to Pagudpud instead of Laoag. Yun nga lang, naka Partas _ Laoag Trip na ako. And FIrst class aircon lang. Yung deluxe, hanggang VIgan lang, and bayad na kami sa bus nung biglang dumating si Deluxe.
Anyways, we left Partas Cubao at exactly 8pm, arrived at Laoag mga 7am. Nagtrike kami para maghanap ng kakaininan, sarado pala si Saramsam Cafe and La Preciosa which are very near Partas Station, so dinala na lang kami ni manong trike sa foodcourt. Ate tapsilog, then walk papuntang station ng mini buses to pagudpud. 60.00 each. Di na kami nag inarte at sinakyan ang unang bus na nakita namin na feeling ko e magigiba. hehe. my husband saw the look on my face kaya kinuhit nya ako at nag thumbs up na parang assuring me na okay lang. kasi medyo natakot ako dun sa bus, then we were with the locals pa talaga, kami lang mukang turista with all those huge maletas.
after one and forty five minutes trip, we finally reached Pagudpud Munisipio. BIgla na lang may lumapit na trike...si Kuya Arnel na pala yun!!!! sinundo nya kami hehe. So yes, we stayed at Cathy's Homestay. Okay naman. She's so nice. it was just a room lang talaga so wag mag iinarte pag dun ka nag stay
She recommended that we eat at Evangeline,s resort kasi nga breakfast lang daw ang hinahanda nya.
so pagbaba ng bagahe namin, we went straight to evangeline's and ate at dun na rin tumambay habang naliligo mga kids and hubby.
free wifi pa and strong connection ha! was able to upload 300 photos in an instant! hehe. lunch was around 700. then we slept, went back to have dinner at evangelines, mga 800.
8am sinundo na kami ni kuya arnel para sa trike-tour namin worth 600.00. South Tour lang ito, we went to Windmill, Lighthouse and Kapurpurawan Rock, then dinaanan din namin yung Pagupud Sign para magpa photo. DI na kami nag North TOur, di din ako ganun ka excited sa mga places dun e.
So after the trip, rested for a while, went back swimming from 3 to 7pm. sarap! ang ganda ng saud beach grabe!!
we stayed at cathy's for two nights. yung second dinner namin, nagpabili kami kay ate cathy ng chooks to go, then ni-treat nya kami ng rice
we left at 7am, then went to my husband's hometown at Magsingal where we stayed for two nights para sa reunion. dun na nagkita kita sila ng mga parents at siblings nya na from manila din pero we decided to go ahead para nga makapag sidetrip pa to pagudpud and vigan.
Magsingal is 30 mins away from Vigan. We left magsingal friday 1pm. arrived at Grandpa,s Inn sa Vigan around 130pm. At first scared ako sa Grandpas inn dahil nga sa mumu pero thank goodness hindi bukas ang third eye ko so our stay was okay.
we had merienda at Irene's Empanada, where anton blogs recommend to eat kasi authentic daw empanada dun. for someone who's not a fan of emapanada, i wouldnt really say it something i will miss. hehe. me, hubby and kids, siguro hindi fan ;-)
Then yung staff ng grandpa's inn, the very accomodating JHONG, pinasundo pa kami sa irene's nung Calesa tour namin, si Jerome. So we had a two hour calesa tour sa belfry, sa pottery and crisologo musuem. that was from 3 to 5pm, then rest, stroll around calle crisologo, then dinner with Uno Grille.
Had breakfast at Felicitas, no chance to dine at Cafe Uno dahil lagi puno ng tao, at ayaw din ni spouse dahil napaka sikip daw. But since Cafe Uno, Uno Grille at Cafe Feclicitas are owned by Grandpa's Inn, you can order their food kahit san ka pa nakaupo.
After breakfast, calesa tour ulit with Jerome for three hours. then came back at 11 to pack things.
My review sa mga restos na ito, OA sa presyo. Hihingi ka lang ng extra kamatis lasona with bagoong e 30.00 na!!!....2 slices of toasted bread is 30.00...menu nila _ nothing spectacular. overpriced, overrated.
anyways, we bought chichacorn sa tiongson. bough tinubong din, yung specialty kalamay nila.
reached Partas VIgan around 130. Naubusan kami ng bibingka sa Marsha's sa vigan station. sayang. anywasys, left vigan 230 and reached cubao 1am! bad trip talaga pag day trip. haba ng byahe. lahat hinihintuan kasi hindi puno yung bus when we left.
kakapagod pero ang saya. total damage - 25,000.00 for all of us na, me, husband and two kids
