It's like coming to a Christian forum and shouting all around that Buddha is god. Maka-analogy lang natatawa ako pag naala ako haha!!

Joining :) before, I'd buy or want to buy the cosmetics being hyped/mentioned here sa GT. Like most of you here mga sis, most items di ko naman nagagamit. Hoarder mode coz of all the hype.

Now I only buy what I NEED talaga. 1 foundie, 2 shades of blushes, 1 eyeliner, brow pencil/gel, 3 shades of lipstick and 1 concealer since I work from home so no need make up everyday. No regrets naman sa actions ko before since marami akong natutunan about make up and I realized na just coz mahal eh impressive na.

Have to admit, I still love MAC lipsticks though :) I cant say no to my favorite shades.

^na-realize ko din sis na I can live on 3 shades of lipstick. But it doesn't mean that just because I can, I will. Hahaha! At dahil madami na akong lipsticks, I'll try to finish 1 muna before I buy another, unless sobrang unique at bagay sa akin ng shade, which is unlikely kasi puro red naman ang bibibili ko.

^naku sis you probably haven't found your shade of nude lang siguro. :) pero nudes nga are usually for people who like wearing eye-makeup. I have one true pale nude lang and I only wear it for special occasions when I do a smokey eye. My other medyo nude lipstick is the exact shade of my lips only more even and with sheen, at sinusuot ko lang din yun usually pag may neautral eye-makeup. so kung hindi ma-eyeshadow, not necessary naman ang nude lipstick. :)

Like sis Caren, I'm a lipstick addict. ang hirap din pala when most shades and tones suit you, kasi nakakatempt bilhin lahat and it's hard to stick to one. I am also controlling my stash though, and sa lipsticks ngayon, I try to let go yung mga di ko masyado nagagamit before I buy. :)

^I think you're right sis, maybe di pa kami ng meet ng perfect nude lippie for me. I dont wear any eyeshadow kasi, eye liner lang so okay na ako sa bold lips :)

I'd say beauty minimalism holds true for me with regards to makeup, but I invest on beauty from within talaga. Meaning I spend more on beauty supplements and topical creams for the skin as it is the perfect canvas for any makeup whether heavy or natural. But for me, natural is the best way to go in terms of makeup, you'll never go wrong with it. As for my makeup: I only wear primer, eyebrow powder, concealer, BB cream, mascara, nude eyeliner, and lip and cheek tint as my blush and for color on my lips. I rarely use eye shadow, probably only when i go out at night or during parties. ;)  ;D

I like Bobbi Brown's make-up mantra: "Less is more"... “It starts with a sparkle in the eye and amazingly clear skin.”

Bobbi’s top tips:

>> Begin with a dab of corrector or concealer where you need it most, then a light foundation or tinted moisturiser that completely blends into your skin.

>> Go with a pretty blush in the colour your cheeks turn when you exercise.

>> Choose a lip colour in the tone that appears when you bite your lips (your perfect nude).

I think maganda talaga ang natural or no make-up makeup but only in comparison to an overly made face. The wide space between the two can also promote a specific ideal look for someone. Kanya-kanyang bagayan lang yan and if you know and promote what works best for you, then that's the best you can do for yourself. Personally, I don't like to overthink makeup as it removes the fun out of it, if it gives you more confidence to face the world, yun na yon.

Hahaha!

Four years ago, i used to hoard lip glosses, lipsticks and lip balms (drugstore products and not). I don't even use them alternately but I just like collecting them. If i happened to drop by a drugstore, I buy one or even two if I want another color. Until I realized that they are slowly approaching its expiration and that they were nothing but a waste of money. They are not expensive but still a waste of money.

Now, I only have a Clinique lipgloss and a Rosebud Salve. I might add one bold red lipstick in the future though.

Basta lipgloss, talagang i only keep one kasi nga madali magexpire.  Trying not to buy foundies already and i already sold 2 in the BB na newly purchased lang. And will not buy a blush na again. That will make me happy till next year.

But i rarely buy local and drugstore brands except for lipbalms and mascaras. Although konti lang ang make-ups ko now,  i made up for it sa quality. Kasi pansin ko pag local or drugstore brands, di ko rin ginagamit after a while kaya i stop buying na kahit may nakikita akong raves sa GT. Pag minsan kasi nadadala ako ng raves.ha!ha!

Ako din I don't get drugstore brands na. Nung bibili nga ako ng kissable balm stains dapat, inisip ko talaga, do I need it, will it have a good effect on my shopping habits or will I just hoard, will I use it?
Stick to the ones nalang na I love. :D

Ako, hindi talaga makeup.

Puro skin care stuff: moisturizer, sunscreen, lotion, scented lotion, handmade and/ or scented soaps...

At least nakakabawas sa boredom of using the same stuff over and over. At a time I limit myself to 2 kinds of soap.

Tapos, dati, tinabi ko yung mga scented lotion kasi cluttery, kaso nakakalimutan ko na madami pa pala ako, so nilabas ko lahat halos to remind myself na madami pa sila.

NAku ako, mahilig sa lahat, not just make-ups but also sa skincare, soaps, lotions, candles, pocketbacs, bbw handsoaps, perfumes, ha!ha ha ! pero ayun mahilig naman ako magdeclutter nowadays. I like also selling sa GT ng hardly-used make-ups para hindi abutan ng expiration.

Pero despite the attention na ayaw ko may mag-expired na make-ups, nung nag ayos ako last week lang, ang dami ko pa din tinapon na nagexpired na which i find sayang pero i need to throw away na: 1 nars cream blush, a mac blush, several MMU na finishing powders, 1 Dior mascara, a maybelline foundie, a revlon foundie, 1 full sized make-up primer na organic, a TBS primer, tretinoin creams na sealed pa,etc. Hay,waste of money. Ayun, nasa trash can na silang lahat.

^ K-Heart, hahaha, nakakarelate ako, just yesterday I gave away makeup and skin care stuff to my officemates.

I was able to get over this. Such a waste. Nakakapanghinayang, but then? Lesson learned. :)

I'm obsessed with make up and skin care. I also have a hard time letting go of stuff na maejo matagal na hinde nagagamit. Pinaka-madame kong make up item are blushes and lipsticks. Before kase pag paubos pa lang yung blush or lipstick na like ko, bumibili kagad ako ng kapalit tapos when I see something new bibili din ako hanggang sa hinde ko na napapansin na ang dami na nila and hinde ko na nagagamit :(

I started doing this too, start of 2011. That includes nail polish etc., make up etc. pabango, make up.

2. Lotion
3. Toner
4. Face Moisturizer

Nasa dresser for things I seldom use:

1. Deodorant ~ minsan lang ako magdeodorant
3. Foot powder

Nasa kikay kit ko:

1. Small face moisturizer
2. Powder
3. Eyebrow Make Up
