yung branch ng healthy options na malapit samin walang almond or coconut flour. so bumili na lang ako ng almond nuts and grind them in the blender. i was able to cook squash pancakes. yummy din naman ang kinalabasan. :)

@sis beachgirl, nagreply na yung cocowonder. will order coconut flour from them kasi mas mura yun than nuts. :)

I'm on a non-strict paleo diet.

I eat a little rice and bread once a week. And I load up on protein shakes and protein bars (which I believe are not paleo). On weekends, I still go for a nice warm cup of skinny Starbucks Peppermint Mocha and a macaron or two. :)

But that's about it.

I eat a lot of eggs, grilled or baked salmon/tuna/chicken breast, a lot of vegetables esp spinach, some fruits here and there. And oh, I'm tryna eat more bacon. Haha. :)

frustrated akong mag Paleo, kaso wala kaming oven, kaya pag snacks ko fruits or nuts lang. andami pa namang magandang snack recipe na baked. also, mahirap di maiwasan yun kanin pag tanghali... pag gabi kaya ko peo ayun na nga. sana mas may budget pa haha :/

When I did a semi-strict paleo diet for 1 month (lessened carbs too, eating mostly meat, fat, and vegetables) I lost 3 kilograms. I did it for the whole of November. Ang ganda nung pagka-lose, unang nabawas yung tummy tapos hindi mukhang bagsak ang katawan.

This trained my taste buds in time for the holidays, kaya hindi masyadong madami ang nakain kong unhealthy food kasi di na sanay ang taste buds ko. I did gain weight pero mga 3/4 of a kilo lang. And na-l-lose ko na ulit.

^^ sis snowpea, ok na yung fruits and nuts as paleo snacks mo. mas madali nga yun ihanda kaysa magbake ka pa. and actually baked paleo muffins/cupcakes/snacks are considered treats so dapat hindi rin palaging kainin. for lunch try eating lots of veggies instead of rice. get your carbs from fruits and veggies.

totoo, mahal ang bumili ng real food but if you stick with a healthy diet you will save a lot on medication kasi your body won't need it.

^^^ feeling ko overall, matipid din pala sya kasi I don't get hungry as often. Dati, maya't maya gutom na ako tapos ang binibili ko pastries or what not na mahal din.

Ngayon feeling I don't need to snack na, and sometimes I can eat only 2 big meals.

Paleo lifestyle is really teaching me how to make my own food. It's so therapeutic. Plus, I know what goes into my meals. Controlled ko yung quality.

Super valuable ang coconut and almond products! And I love paleo pancakes, too! I use banana and sweet potatoes. Pero next time, I'll add protein powder para ma-try lang.

The guy I'm seeing is also into it. And we trade paleo-approved food. Last night, he gave me almond butter and I got him a couple of smoothies. This weekend, he'll make me paleo bread daw and slow cooker beef brisket. Wee. :)

^^ Hi rae! Agree with you na matipid siya. Since hubby and I are newly weds, I'm still learning how to budget our groceries based on our consumption. In our first week, I overstocked on a lot of veg and meat but I noticed that we don't eat that much din pala on paleo. Higher quality food = higher satisfaction = lower consumption.

Also, our latest reflection ni hubby is that if you eat a lot of grains (rice pinaka-common sa atin), you miss out talaga on the opportunity to eat a diverse selection of vegetables kasi busog ka na sa rice. So actually you have more access to nutrients eating this way

^ Oo nga no. Currently, I'm not strictly paleo. Been eating ice cream on weekends :P Pero I noticed that I don't eat as much. A little more than 2 tablespoons ayaw ko na.

Mga sis, just new here :) In the past year I'm struggling to lose fats and to be thin. Di naman ako sobrang taba, chubby lang. I want to change badly, for good. Nakaka-frustrate lang kasi yung mga personal issues na mayroon ako. To top that, "Insecure" ako. Na-try ko mag-paleo for 2 weeks, na-feel ko talaga yung less cravings, panghihina sa first week at medyo hirap sa bowel movement. But that just means na low-carb talaga ako. Pero nung nag-start ang classes, need mag-rice sa lunch. Ayun, hanggang sa wala na. This vacation I really want to achieve the body I want. I want to be more confident and comfortable with myself. I'm planning on doing paleo and doing HIIT (High intensity interval training)

Just want to ask, should I load on complex carbs when doing a workout? Any response to this will be highly appreciated :) XOXO! <3

^ Not an expert, but based on my readings, kapag really strenuous workouts, required na may carbs.

Many professional athletes eat as much as 10,000 calories of carbs a day pero they burn all of it naman considering how much they train.

It really depends. Siguro listen to your body muna.

The first two weeks of paleo  (I joined a challenge last month), almost nagbablack-out and sumasakit ulo ko the whole day after a strenuous exercise. Mga 3-4 times SIGURO, nag file pa ako ng leave sa office,  at umuwi during one of those days kasi I couldn't focus sa sakit ng ulo. Ang mali is no carbs talaga,  and minimal fruit intake. Eat banana/fruits instead of processed carbs.

sis ElleLawliet try mo cutting out rice, bread, sugar, and processed foods while increasing your vegetable intake. also, build muscles kasi they'll help you burn fats.
