beachgirl, yeah I saw nga using coconut flour and walnut flour.

Yung 8-hour sleep nga, nakakapayat na in itself.

Pero focus muna ako ngayon sa paleo diet. Para di nakaka-overwhelm yung info. Tapos mag-t-transition na din ako to paleo lifestyle overall. Sa lifestyle side of things: yung sleep talaga ang unang inayos ko.

sharing erwan's recipe for banana bread

http://www.thefatkidinside.com/healthy-eating/banana-and-pineapple-whole-wheat-sticky-cake/

i guess you can use almond flour instead of whole wheat flour.

^^ sis rae, yes! you're my one and only follower haha. "met" you sa latest blog post thread :D

^ sis sarsingkit, the recipe looks good! pero almond flour can't be used as a substitute for whole wheat flour kasi they have different properties. also, molasses isn't paleo :( if you're looking for paleo treats recipes, check out http://paleomg.com/, http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com, and http://www.elanaspantry.com/. ang dami dun!

^ hi sis beachgirl! I got started kasi on a low carb diet, Atkins specifically. Then I started reading more about the lifestyle which eventually led me to Paleo. What attracted me to Paleo is how clean it is. Atkins kasi and other low carb diets don't really care if you're eating good quality protein or good quality fat. As long as you count carbs puwede na. Yung Paleo kasi focuses on vegetables and quality meat and fat and it really made sense for me. I'm so happy because even my skin is reacting better.

My weightloss is bumagal na, but I don't mind. I like how I feel and I know that if I continue eating healthy the Paleo way, the excess weight will go. Wala naman siya choice kundi mawala :)

Yung books that I've read are:

Primal Blueprin of Mark Sisson
The Paleo Diet Solution of Dr. Loren Cordain
The Paleo Diet by Robb Wolff

I downloaded them on Kindle :) I'm trying to look for hard copies so we can have some sort of book club din :D

^ oo nga no, paleo is big on emphasizing quality. and you're right, it makes sense! when i cook at home, they'd ask kung "paleo" ba yung luto ko. i want to say, "it's not paleo, it's called normal food!"

at first i thought it was just one of those fad diets na mahirap isustain, pero hindi naman pala. sanayan lang. do you exercise regularly din? it helps shed the pounds din. :)

^ yes, i agree. The first time you come across paleo diet, akala mo dami bawal. But it's not really true. The only rule is to eat real food. And that's so easy to do.

I exercise also but according to the primal blueprint. I don't do chronic cardio but I have to walk at least a mile a day at most. That's not too hard. it's half and hour to an hour walking :) Then on high energy days I can jog if I want.

What about you? what made you go paleo?

My diet is similar to this, except I use a small amount of cheese sometimes, a bt of creamer for my morning flax, and Splenda.

^^ that's great sis! i got started when i joined the 30-day paleo challenge at crossfit manila. i loved how i felt and looked so tinuloy-tuloy ko na. i try to eat paleo 80% of the time and i work out regularly din.

^ paleo is not super restrictive naman. most paleo followers would say you can have dairy if you can tolerate it. regarding splenda, however, strictly speaking it's an artificial sweetener so it's not paleo. try more natural sweeteners like coconut sugar, coconut syrup, honey, or agave syrup. :)
