^I have an idea.  Why don't you try to inquire sa Mothercare Bonifacio High Street.  Street front lang sila diba?  Baka pwedeng ipark lang yung car sa tapat, then test if kasya yung seat at enough yung length ng seat belt?

When I went to Mothercare at GB5 they offered to fit the carseats (Madrid and sport) into our car to check if it will fit - even without purchase. No point in us doing so since we only have lapbelts plus out backseat was occupied by the Graco playard we purchased. Try asking another SA - it only seems right that you try it out before purchasing because to your points, it might not fit the car rin. If you like it, they also ensure correct installation of the carseat.

The Madrid is not on sale, but it's only about 6,600+. The Sport one was 7,500. Much cheaper than the other models such as Britax and Maxi Cosi.

Good na nagbago na ang policy ang Mothercare when it comes to car seat fitting. Three years ago very limited ang choices ng car seats sa Manila, and if I remember correctly, only Mothercare carried combination car seats. They were a new store kaya siguro very strict pa silang ilabas ang merchandise nila. E ngayon every baby store sells car seats, they have to compete and should have better customer service.

^Yup there are combination seats.  The boosters without harness are actually called belt positioning boosters because they have seat belt paths on the headrest and seat area to correctly position a vehicle seat belt across the center of the child's shoulder and upper thigh area.  Kapag wala kasing booster, usually sa leeg or mukha na ng bata nakatapat yung shoulder belt at sa tiyan nakapwesto yung lap part.  Recommended na ito pag medyo mature na yung bata at di na malikot. Around 6 & up siguro, depende sa height.

The combination harness to boosters naman, merong harness that can be removed when the child has outgrown it para maging belt positioning booster.  Examples are Graco Nautilus,  Evenflo Maestro. Mothercare meron din yata. (Mothercare Advance XP?)

Regarding expiry,  when the seat is imported from the US, meron yan. May nakalagay na Do Not Use By date sticker.  Usually 6 yr+ from date of manufacture depending on car seat model.  It is because the plastic gets brittle over time when exposed sa heat while installed in the car, etc.  Pero when we were looking at seats sold locally like the Safety First complete air sa Baby Co.,  kahit available yung exact same model sa US,  dito walang nakalagay.  Binalibaliktad na namin yung seat pero wala talaga.   With belt positioning boosters like the Chicco Max 3 that you have, personally di ako masyadong concerned sa expiry because wala namang harness na magstress sa plastic.  pang pwesto lang sya to get proper fit of the vehicle seat belt.

Your baby is slim and tall pala.  Na-outgrow na nya by weight rear facing ang Seville.  Usually by height talaga naooutgrow yung car seat, bihira by weight and most of the time hindi nagmamatch sa age recommendation ng manufacturer para sa car seat.

rome01, we have a 2008 honda civic (ka-batch nung civic pa din na available ngayon) and our chicco proxima was ok in the center backseat RF (FF na siya ngayon). hirap nga lang ako ilagay si baby noon sa carseat. the center has a 3-point seatbelt and the shoulder belt naka-cross sa seat so help from the other side of the seat was actually not helpful at all. solo ko siya nilalagay sa carseat and medyo mahirap nung una for me.

not sure lang with your carseat choices kung kasya din sila. but generally, the civic's backseat has a good back to front length so ok siguro yan.

For those worried about car seats fitting in vehicles, I actually brought a Ride Safer Travel Vest (http://www.safetrafficsystem.com/) for my (then) 4 yr old nung umuwi kami sa Phils.

I was afraid kasi that his car seat would not fit properly depende sa sasakyan na gagamitin namin lalo na since I have my younger one in a car seat. Baka pihikan yung sasakyan or di magkasya. So my daughter was in a Combi Coccoro while he was in a Ride Safer Travel vest.

No, di sya mabigat at all. Of course mas comfy pa din ang car seat or high back booster but I use this in a bind kapag hindi ko sigurado yung sasakyan and how the car seat will install or fit.

Nunis, I checked my daughter in the car seat ulit kanina. Malapit nang lumagpas yung ulo nya sa backrest, pero yung top slot to shoulder hindi pa naman. OK lang ba yun? So sa harness ko titingnan kung lampas na?

Grumpybear, galing nyang Ride Safer Travel Vest a. Perfect nga for traveling, kahit public transportation ang sasakyan. Does it work for plane seats too? I remember you recommended a similar vest for air plane rides some time ago.

For the plane it's a CARES harness (http://www.kidsflysafe.com/). Unfortunately, mabilis kalakhin ng mga anak ko because it's only used for kids up to 40" tall. Although di pa nila abot ang weight limit, abot na nila ang height limit. So I just bring the car seats on board with us and install in their seats.

DV,  Your daughter seems OK pa kung harness ang basis.  Check also the Seville manual if it says anything about height requirements.  Marami kasing rules sa height depending on the seat model.  Some would say na hindi na pwedeng gamitin kung top of head is above seat back.  Yung iba naman top of ears is above the seat back.  Yung iba naman kailangan may at least 1 inch clearance yung top of head from top of seat back.  Kung walang nakaindicate sa manual, go with the harness rule.

grumpybear, the ride safer is a great alternative for toddlers who travel often.  I like the combi cocorro!  Although the shell is a bit short compared to available car seats in the US market, the fit is great in compact cars.  It is comparable to the Chicco convertibles available locally in terms of weight ratings but less bulky.

rome01,  you're right, same features lang. Both colors are neutral naman.  Ayan color naman ang nakakalito.  Personally I'd get the Fischer Price but the Madrid is a few hunded pesos cheaper.

I actually dont like the Combi CCO. My daughter was less than 2 y.o. when she outgrew that. If I weren't travelling solo with 2 kids, I would've just brought our Radians. Kaya lang medyo mabigat ang Radian so I bought the Combi CCO solely for our trip. Unless one is driving a compact car and needs to fit another car seat in the back, I would not recommend the Combi CCO at all.

Wow!  Didn't expect it to be outgrown before 2 yrs old.  Buti na lang I didn't get one kahit na like ko sya and gambled on getting a Triumph 65 instead.  No need for 2 car seats at the back naman. Mahal pa naman ng cocorro.  How does the Radian install?  I'm considering the 80 or XTSL before because of the high weight limit and tall shell but i read some are having problem with installation lalu na kung mahaba yung seat belt stalk.  Ganun pa naman yung buckle ng car namin.

May pagka-pihikan sa sasakyan ang Radian. I have one of the earlier generations of the Radian so I'm not sure if they've improved on this na.
But I found that when we were in the Phils mahirap sya i-install-rearfacing sa ibang sasakyan. Like sa Pajero, we had to install forward facing although sa Ford e350 (? di ko sure, basta yung malaking van), ok naman sya. And forget it sa mga sedan unless you want the front seat rendered useless. Medyo malaki ang space that it takes up when installed rear-facing.
on hindsight, I'd have gone for the Britax siguro. My son now rides a Britax Frontier 80 and a ParkwaySGL and we passed on the Radians to my daughter.

Sis, Britax USA just issued a statement regarding possible missing screws/nuts at the base of their convertible car seats.
Affected are models below manufactured between July 2010 to August 2011.  You may want to check if your seat is included and request for replacement kit if needed.  No safety concern naman daw, just functionality.

If I'm not mistaken, the Fisher Price Safe Voyage and Britax Roundabout are the same shell.
