I had Kitakata ramen at Shiodome City Centre in Tokyo Japan last December. The broth is clear and tasty, parang sabaw sa nilaga without the oil on top. They even have a side dish of barbecued pork which was also delicious. A different kind of ramen but definitely worth a try.

Finally tried Ichiran! Totoo nga. Masarap!! Need to try Ippudo. Para malaman ano mas masarap!

Ippudo's shio ramen: fave ko so far! (ang tagal ko nang hindi nakapag-Yushoken, i forgot na lasa so di ko masama sa comparison, hehe)

last night we went to try ramen nagi greenbelt branch. ok siya mas ok kaysa sa sm aura branch. I ordered the original butao king, chef's recommendation 1/2 spicy and hard noodles. It was a perfect combo pero mejo oily, so I will order a light broth next time and also would be better if I ordered siguro extra hard noodles.

i tried Hokkaido Ramen Santouka for the first time. given that i'm based in Makati, grabe ngayon ko lang na-try. hahaha!

anyway, i ordered Shio (my fave kind of ramen) and i was disappointed. matabang ang broth. pero i liked the sear of the chashu. i also liked the tamago. so far sa lahat ng na-try ko na Shio, Ippudo pa rin ako.

now question: for the rest of you, which one has the best Tantanmen? i've never tried it kasi parati akong Shio, pero dahil marami na kong na-try na Shio versions, i'm ok with finally trying something new. haha! at since first time, ayoko ma-turn off at the onset sa Tantanmen, so saan ba ang best for you?

^what i don't like with santouka, there are times I find it salty, other times ok naman the saltiness level. I always order the kara-miso.

one favorite that wasnt mention here is Ramen Bar in Eastwood. I find it value for money. Fairly consistent din the taste. I just wish they serve the broth piping hot. Ang bilis lumamig.

^^ I don't really like tantanmen because I find it nakakaumay.  I can recommend though the one by Mitsuyado-sei-men along Jupiter Street.  My husband likes it.  I've also read that Ukkokei's tantanmen is one of the best but I haven't tried it.

Since nag open yung Ramen Nagi sa Podium, di na ko bumalik sa Ippudo Megamall. Dati kasi sa SM Aura lang meron and medyo malayo from where I live. So glad meron nang malapit sa office.

The best tantanmen so far para sakin is Yushoken parin. Next is Ryu Ramen.
