Sana wala pa rin pila pagkuha ng uniforms. Dapat siguro kasama natin kids pagkuha ng uniforms to make sure kasya sa kanila. Kasabay na ba books pagkuha ng uniforms?

sachism, cause your daughter is a new student kaya mabilis. usually for old students, it takes an hour or so to finish everything (including getting books and uniforms) kasi sabay-sabay all students per grade level. it really helps if you'll be there early to fall in line

misslenzi, yes they give out monthly calendars and session plans which contain the lessons for the month. this year, at least for my daughter's grade level, they have a website where teachers upload the handouts, notes and announcements.

for my daughter, when she was kinder & grade 1, wala silang books. only a ring-bound compilation of handouts and it was only available during the first week of classes. pero baka nagbago na. tip too, if you're getting uniforms, prepare as well a copy of the OR/CR of your car so you can get a car sticker on the same day.

my daughter also passed her K2 exam, we were pleasantly surprised because she did it. We enrolled her last october and yes uniforms and books will be available on May.

I hope we get our preferred schedule. Would you know when we'll find this out? Sa May din ba?

^ive been waiting to know since nagbayad ng reservation na sabi nga upon enrollment daw. Tumawag din muna ako nung first day ng enrollment to check kung anong class sya. So pwede mo tawagan to check kung anong class si B.

gemini78, on my daughter's first year, she and the other new students were required to go to school a week earlier than the rest of the batch. i cant remember anymore if it was for a full school-week or just a couple of days. this is for them to get to know their teachers plus for them to get familiarized with the different places inside the campus. i *think* this is also when they introduce the kids to how to go about the IWs (individual work). im not sure anymore if they still do this though. Plus, if I remember correctly irregular schedule pa sila during the first week of classes.

Also, what I like about the school is the homeroom teacher will schedule a one-on-one dialogue with the parents during the first week of classes. this way, parents can relay their expectations/concerns about their daughters to the teachers.

gemini78: From our experience last year, there is an open house. I just dont know how many sessions. Kasi when I first inquired kung may open house before submitting my dau's application, meron daw but they couldn't give the specific date yet so I just left my contact number. Then I received a text message naman re the schedule of the open house so we went. I would recommend going to the Open House and bringing your kid along. This was after we submitted the application forms were submitted din pala. So I am not sure if the open house was for those who inquired or for those who have submitted application forms.

Then there was another Orientation for those who passed the exam before paying the reservation fee and submitting the reservation form/enrollment forms. And there will be another orientation daw come June for all those who enrolled. Maybe this is the one that you are asking for?  Andami

^and there's too a parents' orientation every start of the school year (new and old students). this is different pa from the one-on-one session with the homeroom teacher.

sachism thanks sis, we will be co-parents, kami din we confirmed our preferred time slot upon enrollment, sis clueless nag enroll na kayo sis? you better go and talk to the registrar kasi if morning last october pa filled up. or call them na lang kung pwede.

I forgot to ask though. Sa May siguro, we can get fetcher's IDs na din? Would anyone know what the requirements are and how much the fee is? Thanks!

^you'll get the fetcher's ID during the parents' orientation. it will be included in a packet together with the students' manual. no fee. you'll need to have it laminated. Others though would place it in a plastic catalog envelope kasi since yayas/drivers come and go, palit ng palit ng pictures. fetcher's ID fee replacement is php 50 ata.

Sachism, I pay the reservation fee first before the parent orientation (if this is the orientation you’re telling me :-) ) then tinanong ako agad what schedule i want for my daughter kasi my nag-iisang slot daw for morning kaya binigay na din sa akin. I signed na rin agad sa contract right after i pay the reservation. Then after the orientation pumila pa rin ako (kasi lahat ng galing sa orientation pinadiretso sa registrar to sign daw the contract kaya di ko alam kung ano gagawin ko) then i ask na lang kung ok na yung schedule for morning.
I don’t know na meron pa pala mga follow up orientation.

^re both parents attending...no naman. i cant remember my husband ever attending one. im really the one who attends the orientation (yes, im a fulltime mom) but he's always there whenever there are school presentations etc.

^ thanks for the info on the fetchers id. Stupid question though. Should parents have a fetchers id also? Kasi the guards dont know all the parents naman. At abba's orchard, where my daughter goes now, parents are also registered as authorized fetchers.

^technically, yes needed cause that's a way for the personnel to know which kids to get from the classroom/playground. But sometimes Manang Merle (the lady guard) at the Preschool gate will allow you to fetch your daughter w/o one but may kasamang gentle reminder to bring it next time. Also, what impresses me most is how the guards know the students by their names. Like Mang Bags would announce my daughter's name over the PA once he sees me walking towards the gate. I can also just fetch my daughter by the curbside. Hand the fetcher's ID to a guard and he will bring my kid to the car wherever I'm parked along the driveway. There was one incident, after handing over the fetcher's ID, I couldn't find a slot where I can wait. I didnt have any choice but to go around (exit EDSA, Ortigas Ave then ADB Ave). Eh ang traffic! Took me almost 15 mins. By the time I got back, my daughter was escorted back inside the waiting area.
