^i'd say stick to your old OS. it will have the critical updates pa rin naman. baka maka affect kasi sa performance ng machine mo pag nag upgrade ka ng OS. i'd rather save up the money to buying a new laptop pag nasira na ang existing mo.

Yan din nga iniisip ko. I am actually considering buying a new one. Kasi naman Hubby gave me iphone5 and I can't sync it with my old macbook Nahihinayang naman ako palitan ng bago.

^yun lang napagastos ka pa hahaha. try mo rin kaya lang it's a $40 upgrade and lots of time wiating for the download to finish. plus not sure pa kung mag dedegrade ang speed ng mac mo check mo rin maam ang system requirements sa mac store and tignan mo kung papasa ang hardware mo... kung above sa minimum requirements then i'd say why not. pero kung within minimum requirements ang hardware mo e wag na lang.

i have this app na ang name is X11. i dont know what it's for. i dont know if it came preinstalled. pero gusto ko siya tanggalin sa laptop ko. ok lang kaya? it's part of the utilities.

X11 is standard for snow leoparad but not for mountain lion.  If it's there in your utilities it's most likely that it came with the package.  Just keep it there.

Where's the cheapest place/store/online store to buy a macbook pro nowadays? Cash basis. Will be replacing my 5 yr old macbook soon. Is longbeard still in the market?

ay may important question pala ako, i think my macbook air is slowing down. kasi lumalabas yung paran g loading icon everytime i open and close.  is there anything i can do to speed it up? dati kasi when it was newly purchased ambilis mag shutdown and start up eh. now, it's not how it was initially.

i get to experience that too. try moving your files to an external storage to free up the space. also, delete the clutter in your desktop. try to clear your cached memory. if they didn't work. try to reinstall from scratch like newly formatted disk.

^that's the thing. actually clutter free naman yung desktop ko and there very few to no files. most are in an external memory. but i noticed anlaki ng mga memory na nagagamit nung apps. pero looking at the apps themselves in a list parang maliliit lang naman yung memory nila. hmmm.

i'm actually thinking of bringing it back to apple to have it checked by summer. i'm still within warranty pa naman. i'm wondering lang if that can be covered by warranty...

well maganda naman service ng mac e so baka naman libre na pa reinstall if that's what you want to do.

^^yeah basta covered pa ng warranty they can reinstall. i'm having mine reisntalled dinkasi eversince i upgraded to lion my idvd doesn't spits out the discs and i couldn't burn or do anything. my optical drive got replaced 2x na same thing happens. even my usb i'm having issues with it'll show up for awhile in the finder pero different case naman daw yun and it works everytime i take it to the store when they plug in their own external drive. nakakafrustrate actually.  finally they said something went wrong when the os was installed and it has to be reinstalled. so now i have to online backup since none of my external drives work with my usb. to my frustration i said my mbp dumbded down to a netbook had i known better i wouldnt have upgraded to lion talaga.

The old macbooks can still run on Lion. I have an iMac 17" at the office and its still fast. I just upgraded the RAM to 4GB.

You can still upgrade your RAM to maximize the older core 2 duo processor.

Also don't forget to run the disk utility from time to time. It will automatically fix your file systems for errors.
