I agree...my MBA came preinstalled with MS Office, no  hassles with updating.

I have a problem with opening my Mail. Whenever i would open it, palaging may option na Quit and Quit and Rebuild Index. HELP!!!!

^^ mine was also really cheap. 52kyaw for a bnew MBP 13" i5 with 20k worth of apps na ininstall nung supplier by the time we met up.

yung sa friend ko was from Power Mac, MBA 11". she had to install everything by herself, and yes yung na-DL nya expired.

Wow. That's a good deal na rin sis. =) Swerte mo Ako kase I got it for 49k pero di naman included most of the important apps. Just the OS which is Mountain Lion na and other basic apps

About 6days ago my MBA won't turn on, tapos it has this noisy fan sound pero the screen was blank, I did a research and found out that the problem could be the logic board, I was so heartboroken grabe!  I tried it today and voila! It turned on.  I plan to have it checked when I get back to Manila, but until then I was wondering if anybody experienced this or might know what went wrong.

anyone here experiencing dvd problems? mine keeps spitting out the disk. had my dvd replaced na but i couldn't play dvd's direct from the the dvd player. even called tech support na una it was the updateing that needed to complete pero now same thing. duno if it's the new os, my sister's mac also acts up the same way.

^ it could be that the superdrive is dirty. happens a lot to most MBs kasi hindi nga covered properly yung slot for the CDS.

^thanks. but i'd be too scared to attempt that , i read on cleaning din same suggestion was made, one guy tried it didn't work and one guy messed up his, some said may defect on the drive that mac isn't addressing (it runs down to a couple of models and its better raw to ignore the prob than do a recall) but i duno how ture. thing is i just got  mac yesterday and they supposedly replaced the optical drive for a new one. so unless apple they didn't change my drive or gave me an old one. tho nakita ko nagasgas nya one brandnew dvd i had i'll check again tomorrow. it's the idvd thats not reading dvds well i duno if there's anything else. baka i need a dummy guide on how to play dvds. :p

Just bought my first ever apple laptop kanina at Power Mac. They have 12 mos installment for mbp na since oct 15 lang daw. Before that 6 mos lang. And for straight payment naman they give a discount. Kaaliw at may free 2 hours tutorial pa. Need ko lang magpa sched. I need this since i've been a windows user talaga.

Laki na pala ng screen ng mbp 13". Nasanay kasi ako sa netbook ko. Lol.

Hirap pa ko mag navigate as of now. All i need pa naman is to transfer and organize all my pics from my digicam, iphone and external hd. I thought i can do it easily hindi pa pala. Need to learn the basics pa.

What is the current OS that you're using now?

I went a few days ago to the A Shop in Eastwood. I found out that there are a lot of issues now with regards to OS. They said na yung mga lumang version ng OS like Snow Leopard or Lion will eventually have issues kasi parang Apple is pushing you to use their current OS.

I had issues before with the wifi yun pala I just need to update my OS kasi some programs are not supported anymore with their old OS. Sabi nga nila, wise si Apple at mapipilitan ka talagang mag-upgrade. The technician from A Shop said that you may not experience the problems now but as Apple releases new updates for the new OS, you will eventually feel na you need to update. Hindi daw lahat ma-experience to pero there a lot na who go there for updating.

^ im still on a Lion, 10.7.3 -- i don't want to update because i want a more stable shell than the current newest one. no problems whatsoever with the dvd drive.

mga sis what's the use of the Smart folder? By November pa ako attend ng free tutorial kasi ginagawa pa yung Power Mac in Trinoma. Malayo naman ang MOA sa akin.

Hi mga sis, gusto ko na rin sana mag Mac para makaexperience . Gusto ko naman magpalit na from Windows. Kaso natetempt akong bumili sa Hong Kong, kasalanan to nung Apple websites kasi kung sa Pinas PHP 82,990 yung gusto kong bihin, sa Hong Kong HK$ 12,988 yung presyo tapos kung imultiply ko sa selling rate ng BDO sabihin na nating 5.30 PHP per 1 HK$, ang kakalabasan around 70 thou lang (mga worth 12 thou ng savings). Yung in-laws ko kasi napapabili ng Apple products pag may nag-aabroad, gaya nung nag Singapore kami dun nagpabili yung father-in-law ko ng New iPad. So baka mura talaga abroad. Pupunta kasi ako ng Hong Kong sa December, so baka good chance na siya. Ano sa tingin nyo? Tsaka may iba bang store na ganyan kalaki ang matitipid ko? Paano kaya sa mga reseller mas mura ba or same lang sa Apple store? Thanks.

May I ask about the Time Machine thing? Okay, so siguro maybe next time I'll buy a new one since the SD card reader, trackpad and battery (all of them) are damaged, but the Mac system is still solid. Okay, so kapag i-Time Machine ko ang old Mac ko (via either an external HDD) and OS Lion ang current Mac OSX ko, do you think kapag ang new Mac ko na OSX Lion ang version, mada-downgrade sa Snow Leopard kapag i-lipat ko ang contents ng Old Mac ko dun sa bagong Mac with the more updated version of the Mac OS?

Please enlighten me, I don't even have any idea about this! (((:
