hi mga sis!
we are 3 adults and one toddler na pupuntang bacolod. may recommended ba kayong cheap but ok hotel to stay?

Eto na naman ako, nag back read ako uli kasi sa dami ng binabasa kong threads, nakalimutan ko na halos yung mga nabasa ko dito hehe. we'll be in Iloilo and Bacolod from Nov. 22-25. Ok na bang itinerary to:

Day 1 - arrival at Iloilo mga 12pm
           lunch, then konting church tpos derecho na sa Guimaras
           Guimaras inland tour
           Overnight in Alubijod Cove

Day 2 - Guimaras Island Hopping (kaya ba ng half day? )
           4pm - Ferry to Bacolod

           Stay at Saltimboca Inn (maganda ba pool dito?, hehe)
           Go to the Ruins mga hapon til night, hehe (open pa ba sila ng late?)
           Dinner sa mga suggested resto's, then cake sa Calea

Day 3 - Mambukal Resort at 6-10am
           Balik sa City proper before lunch then eat uli kung saan mukang masarap
           Balay Negrense, Fountain of Justice and some suggestion naman po, please, hehe
           
           Kain-kain lang siguro and buy ng pasalubong hanggang gabi.

Day 4 - Breakfast then straight to the airport for 11am flight back to Manila.


Question:

1. Malayo ba ang The Ruins from the port ng ferry galing sa Iloilo? Ano ba mas magandang unang puntahan na mas malapit sa port para din ma-maximize ang time.

2. May mabibilhan na ba kami ng pasalubong as early as 8am if ever sa last day kami bibili? And what time kami dapat umalis sa hotel para hindi ma-late sa 11am flight?

3. Ok lang ba mag-take ng public transpo from Bacolod city proper to airport or kailangan naka taxi kami?

Thanks in advance. Any suggestions for my itinerary would be highly appreciated hehe... Sa sobrang busy ko kaka-research about Korea, Bohol, Beijing recently, ngayon lang uli ako nagbasa ng para sa iloilo at bacolod. Halo-halo na ang nasa utak ko, kaya pls po, patulong naman hehe..

And kung may mga taga Bacolod dito sa GT na free ng Nov 24, i would love to meet you and baka gusto nyo kami i-tour, hehe..joke!

^sis tammy1979. PM me when you're here. i'll be glad to help you guys out. i might be here in Bacolod on the 24th of November.  i'll try to clear my sched on that day.  How many of you are coming over? Bacolod to Airport may shuttle naman yan sa mga malls going to the airport.

Saltimboca is just a sort of pension house, but they have a pool there na ok lang. hehe . Calea is just a few steps away. I hope I can meet you guys on the 24th. I don't have any business trips on that day.

^^sis, from guimaras you have to go back to iloilo to catch the ferry to bacolod. and for your questions:
1. not really that far sis from the port, it will take around 30 min to reach the ruins. well ang malapit sa port is sm, then yung capitol na andun yung fountain. then 21 resto, saltimboca inn, starbucks, rob...
2. yeah i think bongbong's at araneta st. is open as early as 7am. and if your flight is 11am, then you have to check out at around 8-830am since you have to be at the airport by 930am. from your hotel it'll take 30-40 min to the airport.
3. i know there are vans going to the airport but i forgot kung saan sila naka pwesto. better inquire na lang with your hotel kung saan nakaparada ang mga vans. if you'll get a taxi, they will charge you skyhigh. better take the van na lang.

Sis Cindy... Between Saltimboca and Go Hotels sa Robinsons area, alin ang mas accessible? So from port lalakarin na lang ba namin yung papunta sa Lacson or may jeep pa kami? Nahihilo na talaga ako hehe..sensya na and thank you din sa pagsagot sa tanong..

Sorry, I have another question pa pala. Anong Ferry from Iloilo to bacolod ang pinaka OK sakyan? sa nakita ko may weesam express, ocean fast ferry and allesson shipping yata. Pero based sa skeds nila, parang mabagal yung Ocean fast Ferry.  Nakita ko din meron yung 2GO. Feedback naman po pls kung alin pinaka ok, meaning yung on-time umalis, malinis at mas mabilis, hehe.. Between Saltimboca & GoHotel, Saltimboca is most accessible.  you'll have great restos within walking distance lang. from port, sumakay na [textspeak!] kayo ng pedicab going to SM. maloko kase mga taxi na nasa port eh. but if may mga bagahe kayo, taxi na [textspeak!] kayo from SM to Saltimboca.  it will set you back around Php 60.00.

As for the ferry from Iloilo,either take Ocean Jet or Weesam.

Btw, im based here in Bacolod. Im just in Manila 3-4x a year for work stuff.

^^ Ok sis, noted. Torn kasi kami between Gohotels and Saltimboca. GoHotels kasi is within the mall daw so at least kung may kailangan kami bilhin malapit na, at mukang bagong gawa lang sya so feeling ko ok yung place hehe. Ok din naman ang price. Pansin ko lang, walang website ang saltimboca, pano ba magpa reserve sa kanila? Altho di ko pa na try mag email dun sa nakita ko sa website ng Bacolod mismo.

Magkano naman charge ng mga pedicabs from port going to Saltimboca? Alam mo naman dito sa Manila, ang pedicab mahal pang mag charge kesa sa taxi. Tipong 1 kanto lang, 30 pesos na agad ang charge nila, hehe..And then from SM lalakad na lang ba? hindi pwedeng derecho na sa hotel? saka kaya pa bang puntahan ang ruins kung 6:30pm ang dating namin sa Bacolod port? Sensya na, daming tanong eh, hehe

I've stayed in GoHotels here before they opened. the rooms are smaller than the one in Mandaluyong but it's quite nice actually. Saltimboca reservation? hmmmm...i'll try to get you the number.

Take the pedicab from the Port to SM Mall. Then from SM dun na kayo mag taxi to Saltimboca. actually if di naman umuulan, pwede namang lakarin lang from Port to SM.

Kaya pa namang puntahan ang Ruins if 6:30PM pa kayo dadating sa Bacolod Port. yun nga lang, i was told na yung Ruins looks majestic during the golden hour or a few minutes before sunset. I haven't gone there pa kase. hehe.

^^I haven't seen the room size in the Mandaluyong branch of Gohotel. Nakita mo na ba sis ang loob ng room ngSaltimboca, yng sa pinakamura nila room? Bka pag may time ka pwede mo masilip just to compare yung rooms, hehe..Sa price kasi, medyo mura ang Gohotel parang almost 1400 lang yata for 2 nights nung nag mock booking ako. Sa saltimboca naman i think nasa 900 yung pinakamura nilang room altho may pool sila which i don't know kung kaaya-ayang swimmingan hehe..Salamat sis sa feedback. Sana nga available ka nun..

well yes i've slept in Saltimboca na din.  the pool is ok [textspeak!] naman nothing spectacular and nililinis naman nila. but we got the family room eh. mas maganda talaga room ni GoHotel. If mura si Gohotel then go for GoHotel na [textspeak!].

tammy, answers in bold font. have to do it like this para maayos ang sagot ko sayo. wala akong alam sa iloilo kaya sa bacolod iti mo lang ako may mako-comment.

Day 2 - Stay at Saltimboca Inn mixed reviews sa rooms at service, but for a cheap price at good location pwede na. good and cheap din ang gohotels kasi nasa likod lang sya ng robinson's bacolod.
           Go to the Ruins mga hapon til night ok magpunta dito hanggang 7pm lang kasi madilim yung ibang areas na dadaanan pabalik sa high-way. sanay naman ang tryke drivers sa daan pero for safety na din wag na lang kayo masyadong magpagabi.
           Dinner sa mga suggested resto's, then cake sa Calea try also Bob's, may rice/pasta meals at desserts sila. sa cafe bob's naman pizza/pasta/desserts. chicken house for the famous inasal. mooon cafe at robinson's. pepe's at plaza sorrento. for desserts aside sa mga nabanggit try nyo din felicia's in lacson street at robinson's.

Day 3 - Mambukal Resort at 6-10am almost 2hrs bus travel from and to Mambukal. pwede kayo umalis sa hotel ng 4-5am kung gusto nyo makabalik ng lunch time sa city proper.
           Balay Negrense, Fountain of Justice and some suggestion naman po, please ang napuntahan namin sa pagkakasunod-sunod sa paglalakad namin sa lacson: Lagoon, Provincial Capitol, Negros Museum, Hall of Justice, old Provincial Jail, La Consolacion College, Cathedral, Public Plaza (tapat ng Cathedral), Pope John Paul II Tower (nasa labas ng SM)
           
Day 4 - Breakfast then straight to the airport for 11am flight back to Manila.

And what time kami dapat umalis sa hotel para hindi ma-late sa 11am flight? may Bong-bong's/Merci sa loob at labas ng airport, so after you checkin pwede siguro kayo mamili ng pasalubong OR sa malls meron din. kung sa robinson kayo sasakay ng shuttle van, 30 min lang nasa airport na kayo kung walang aberya sa shuttle i.e. hindi late yung van. madali mapuno yung van so better get tickets early, nasa right side ito when you are in front entrance facing lacson street.

3. Ok lang ba mag-take ng public transpo from Bacolod city proper to airport or kailangan naka taxi kami? lagi kame nagta-tryke at jeep from airport to bacolod kasi mas mura, at shuttle van naman from robinson's to airport (P180/pax na ata). never kame nagtaxi dun, enjoy kasi kame magjeep basta tandaan lang lagi ang "lugar lang"

Based dun sa nabasa ko sa thread 1 yata, yung "lugar lang" is parang "sa tabi lang po" or "para po" dito sa manila, tama ba? medyo hilo na kasi ako sa pag backread ko sa first thread kaya hindi ko alam kung tama ang pagkaalala ko. Parang may nabanggit pa yung isang sis natin na nagtawanan ang mga tao dahil sa pagpara, hehe..

Dito sa isang post mo " ang napuntahan namin sa pagkakasunod-sunod sa paglalakad namin sa lacson: Lagoon, Provincial Capitol, Negros Museum, Hall of Justice, old Provincial Jail, La Consolacion College, Cathedral, Public Plaza (tapat ng Cathedral), Pope John Paul II Tower (nasa labas ng SM)", ilang oras pwedeng gawin to? naisip ko kasi kung medyo matagal bumyahe sa Mambukal, pwedeng after lunch na kami umalis dun para mga 3pm mag start na kami libutin yang mga lugar na yan, including the ruins na may magical effect daw pag hapon, hehe.. kaya ba?

^ako yung tinawanan sa jeep dahil sa "para po" at kinorek nung isang pasahero "lugar lang" daw ang sabihin ko. Pero di naman ako napahiya, nakakatuwang experience yun for me

Kaya naman mag-Mambukal, pasyal sa kahabaan ng Lacson Street at The Ruins around 5-7pm. Pero for sure pagod na kayo sa trekking sa una, lakaran nanaman yung 2nd. Though may jeeps naman din pero kaya kayo maglalakad para mas madami kayo madaanan. Siguro todong pagtyatyaga ang gagawin nyo tapos pahinga sa Ruins. Wala naman masyado iikutan dun, puro photo ops lang kaya di kayo masyado mapapagod. Agahan nyo na lang ang alis sa hotel papauntang Mambukal para mas mabilis byahe at baka mas konti tao.

Ayy ikaw pala yun sisn, sabi ko sa yo hilo na ko kasi di ko na maalala kung sino yun hehe..Thanks sa tip about sa "lugar lang" tatandaan ko yan para kunwari taga doon ako, haha... Next week aasikasuhin ko na talaga IT namin pati yung pag book ng hotel sa Bacolod at Guimaras, pre-occupied pa kasi ako ng Beijing trip ko this thurs. Thanks sa mga info sis, napakalaking bagay nyan para bawas stress na naman sa mga travel plans.

Next month na ang Iloilo-Bacolod trip namin. I was looking online on how to book ferry tickets from Iloilo to Bacolod but I can't seem to find one. Pano ba ang pagbili ng ticket, sa port na ba mismo or pwedeng online?
