Yeah, I think it's allowed.  Since mga 15 minutes lang naman ang wedding rite, no sense na maglakad pa ako sa aisle (and ayoko rin).  Or another alternative is sabay na lang kami ni h2b maglalakad para walang drama.  Ma-dramang wedding is really not my style.

Same here  wala talaga sa style ko yan ni gown nga ayokong magsuot eh! Although I am also wondering kung pwede rin mag Eucharistic mass kasi yun na yung parang anticipated Sunday mass if ever pero wala pa ring entourage or marching.

Sis! Ohh, I thought I mentioned it to you na. Simple wedding rite lang sa amin; wala kaming entourage para tipid, lol.  We really wanted a civil wedding, but mapilit ang akong dear mother so sige, I told my mom na wedding rite lang para kasal pa rin sa church.  Ayoko ng may mass pa kasi ang haba.  :p Plus, I'll only invite immediate families sa church.  Lahat sa reception na lang.  Kasi if tipong 15 minutes lang naman yung wedding namin, tapos malalate lang yung mga guests sa church, e di dun na lang sila sa reception.  Mas solemn and intimate if immediate family na lang yung nasa church.

Sis, paano ka makakatipid? Kasi wala ng bride's maid, Maid of Honor na bibihisan, etc?

If wedding rite, I'll be only paying 2K sa church.  At wala pa akong aalahaning gastos for entourage kasi nga wala na.  If full wedding, I have to pay 25K sa church on top off the gastos ng damit ng entourage.

I haven't asked that one.  Pero baka hindi. But if 15 minutes nga lang naman, kaya ko na siguro tiisin. May electric fan naman.

I don't have an entourage because the package that I chose, which is wedding rite only (meaning no mass), has no entourage included.

It will all depend kasi if you want a wedding with or without a mass.  Without a mass, wedding rite lang ang tawag duon. No entourage included. I only paid 2K* sa church. If you want it with eucharistic mass, there is an entourage included; the package is 25K kasi you'll be using the church for 1-1.5 hours.  However, if you want to walk down the aisle with your kids, that won't be a problem naman. Yun nga lang, if gusto mo may mass na kasama, you still have to pay 25K kahit wala kang entourage. 

*yung basis ko ng 25K is for the Church that I booked. Mas mura siguro sa iba.

Super helpful ang thread na to. Ganito lang tlaga ang gusto ko para menos sa mga bridemaids, etc. Naisip ko nga nung una na wag ng mag-walk sa aisle pero sayang tutal andun ka na, edi GO na. Ang problema lang dito baka magtampo ang mga friends at kamag-anak kasi hindi sila kinuhang abay. But we should remember that this is OUR wedding, so kung anong gusto natin yun ang masusunod.

Hello! Just wondering, ano yung sinuot niyo kapag wedding rites lang? More of a casual dress lang ba? Should it be white din? Necessity ba talaga yung secondary sponsors (veil, cord etc) kahit rites lang? Sorry daming tanong. Thank you!

I'll still wear a wedding dress, gray nga lang. Pero if you want na casual dress, go lang.  Wala namang rule sa kahit anong church na mandatory ang wedding gown. Yes, kailangan pa rin ang PS and SS kahit na wedding rite lang.  Yung PS ko, tito at tita namin ni h2b, while mga SS ko eh sisters ko / pinsan ni H2b.  That way, immediate family / relatives lang ang nasa church.

Yup. You can ask the church of your choice if they offer wedding rites. Actually, I think naman most churches offer this, di lang nila sinasabi.

We only paid for 2K.  We actually don't want a church wedding, but my mom insisted na gusto nya, so wedding rites na lang kami para walang major production.

Matagal din ba process ng ganitong wedding. Kase ako ayaw ko din ng may entourage pero gusto ng mga parents sa church ikasal kase we're both catholic ni h2b. Gusto sana namen in 2 months na yung wedding. Kaya kaya ng 2 months? Lam ko kase sa church dami arte eh. Kaya nung una civil wedding talaga napagplanuhan namen.

Nakita ko yung sa website ng Manila Cathedral meron sila nito na ginagawa sa Chapel nila. Yung wedding rite nila by offerings. Tapos yung simple wedding with mass nasa 4000

Yah same question here. Kaya ba ng 1-2 weeks preparation lang ang wedding rites. Coz I heard you need to get baptismal and confirmation certificate with "for marriage purpose" stamp and this has to be filed 3 mos before your wedding. Parang hirap mag pakasal sa church kung gusto mo ng mabilisan.

^i attended once a wedding dun sa manila cathedral sa side sya small chapel. bagay for intimate weddings. i thought nga sa basilica mismo pero may minor basilica sila. im not sure yun nga ba tawag.
