^same sentiment! Ginawa na nilang business :( I get it that they should charge for the use of electricity and stuff, pero blown up masyado yung prices. Yung sa Cubao Cathedral nakakalula. Feeling ko na-inflate ang price after the Marian-Dingdong wedding lol.

I remember may church before na nagimpose ng 50k na fee, ewan if natuloy yun since na-bashed sila.
If a girl understands your b******t, stick through your mistakes, smiles even when you've done nothing for her , it's obvious she's a keeper. But it's also obVious that you don't deserve her...

After all, Sacrament of matrimony is a sacrament so dapat nga donation lang. Of course may mga church n malalaki at puro aircon so noted na may expense sa electricity. But ang average na kasi sa basic wedding ceremony is around 15-20k for just a 1.5hr use of the church at may limit pa sa dami ng entourage. May kinalaman ba yun sa kuryente if 4 or 6 ang principal sponsors? Haay..

Balak namin magpakasal Dec 2020.

for Cavite bride in Bacoor or Imus, you can try St James The Greater Parish sa Villa de Primarosa, Imus.

Update ko lang rate sa UP Parish of the Holy Sacrifice. 15k na instead of 12k hehe. Kasama na yung flowers and choir with soloist. Mabait din kausap yung admin sa church. Look for ate Gina, she is very helpful.

Share ko lang po, sa Quiapo church before, when hubby and I were still planning our wedding, ayaw nila sa main church ikasal ang couple, sa office lang ni father bale magaganap ang wedding, so wala na din yung mga entourage, bale style civil wedding siya, yun nga lang si father ang nag officiate...reason nila bukas kasi sa tao (public) ang Quiapo church so kung sa main church ka ikakasal ay mawawala yun solemnity ng kasal dahil labas masok ang mga tao...so if some of you guys are planning a very simple wedding with no kuskos balungos pwede sa Quiapo church...simple gown lang din require nila...

Sa PIHM may inooffer na ganito.
2.5k lamang. Kaso di ko naitanong kung may limit ba sa kanila or extra bayad pag napasobra ng PS and SS :(.

Hi Sis! I think you need to ask the parish kung saan papakasal si Sis-in -law. Ask if paano set-up nila for wedding rites only. Can you have options ba na magpalakad kahit yung groom, bride, parents lang or puede na wala nang palakad.

We once helped my cousin, organize a simple catholic wedding din.
Depende ang rates sa simbahan.  (I forgot na how much but less than 5K)
At least 1 pair of sponsor and for the rites naman - pwede na yung candle, cord, veil ay 1 pair, 1 flower girl, 1 bible bearer/coin bearer/ring bearear)
She was still able to walk down the aisle naman din.

Suggest you ask your parishes if this can be done and express willingness na you want to be married sa church.

Other parishes naman, they have KASALANG BAYAN.

We wanted to strip down our wedding rites to the barest minimum & here's what we learned:

* No need for ringbearers and flowergirls.  Groom can carry the rings & coins. Just have someone place the Bible directly on the altar.
* 1 set of Primary Sponsors - we initially wanted to get our parents as Primary Sponsors, but hindi pwede.
* Volunteers for candle, cord and veil  ;D You can pick 1 couple do all these or ask someone to do it on the day of the wedding.
* Bride & Groom are the only ones who'll walk down the aisle, if that's what they want.

For our processional, we had 1 flowergirl and 3 boys for the ring, coins & bible because we wanted kids to "open" the ceremony, so to speak.  I initially wanted to walk with only my father, but decided otherwise, because I did not want to hurt my mother's feeling.

Just a tip, if you want to have a simple wedding without the circus, find yourselves an officiant who is both progressive and practical.  ;D ;D
