Hi, I've been using an induction cooker in my condo, and I have to say super love ko siya.  Una, it's very safe kasi nga walang gas.  And amazingly, alam niya pag tapos na yung linuluto mo kasi namamatay siya mag-isa.  Although siyempre you still have to look after your cooking. ;)

I think it's also very matipid, kasi mas madaling uminit yung food dahil walang energy wasted.  Mas mabilis rin magluto.  For example, if I'm boiling water sa gas stove, mga 5 minutes bago magsimulang mag-boil yung water.  Pag induction, less than a minute, mag-b-boil na.

Siguro ang con lang sa induction cooker ay mas mahal siya than the others.  BUT, mababawi mo naman yun kasi mas efficient and thus mas mura yung energy consumption niya. :)

Hi. We just bought a Dowell induction cooker (with free magnetic steel pan). When we first use it (my husband and I are newbies to inductions), the egg we were frying burnt. I notice that upon switching the cooker on the heat starts at 200'celsius, even if we adjust the heat to it's lowest (60'celsius) the heat quickly transfers to the pan that causes the egg to cook fast and burn fast.  Ganto ba talaga? Or we need to get thicker pan? TIA

^Wala pang P5000 plus , sis for a single burner! It's a local brand. Sa SM Makati ako tumingin.  Pag dumaan kami ulit, i-post ko magkano.

Ganon pala ang induction cooker, parang magnet ang pan sa burner.

May specific na pans na pwedeng gamitin. You have to check before buying at baka masayang lang ang bili mo. Sunnex has induction pans.

Yung Dowell na nabili namin P2,320, single burner. Mahal yung double, aabot na ng 15K above grabe. Magnetic steel ang kailangang pot/pans para magwork sa induction, yung glass or any regular non-magnetic pot/panswill not work. Hindi ko pa ulit nagagamit yung induction namin since last week kasi natatakot ako, ang bilis maluto ng niluluto, nasusunugan ako. Siguro I need to buy a new pot/pan na medyo makapal para tama lang yung pag-transfer ng heat ng induction cooker to pan.

mas practical ba ang induction cooker kaysa sa gas stove? i mean mahal na nga ang gasul kaso mahal din ang electricity. also, do i need special pans/pots for induction cookers and how about cleaning and maintenance? madali lang ba?

yes i think very practical cya, there is a study by meralco na mas mura ang cost ng induction cooker vs gas. very easy to maintain din kasi punasan lang ng dry cloth ok na. i use american home na brand 2500 price pero i got it at 10% off. before may promo si meralco na 50% off americal home, not sure kung meron pa.
for the pans, kelangan yung for induction tlaga. you will notice naman yung parang may magnetic strips yung bottom. nakabili ako less than 500 lang. just ask the saleslady ng mga for induction or you can check yung label for the induction marker.
tip lang if magluluto, kelangan prepared na lahat ng ingredients kasi mabilis talaga. saka never turn it on na walang laman yung pan! kasi masusunog tlaga. pag nag fry ako, nilalagay ko na agad oil before turning it on. i put it on the lowest setting din muna :)

yes sis, american home has 2 models, 2.5k saka 5k yung price. nung bumili ako naubusan na sila nung 5k. mejo mas heavy duty ata yung 5k, pero for regular home use ok na yung 2.5k na model. meron na rin cya free stainless pot, pero mejo manipis lang. i use it to cook pasta and soup. sobrang bilis tlaga nya, water will boil in less than 3 mins :)

May teflon na pang induction. Nakakakita ako sa Tefal. Sobrang mahal! Like around 6k siya.

Tandaan niyo lang, for induction cooker, stainless ang pots and pans.

we are using hoffman double burner induction cooker, hindi pwede ang teflon, stainless pan lang.

Nag-research ako dati, mas matipid ang induction cooker than electric stove dahil sa induction cooker, mabilis uminit yung lulutuan at distributed yung heat.
