there were brides here who spent 90-120k for their weddings. my best friend had a very simple but very happy civil wedding celebration for only 50k a couple of years back. their are many ways to cut costs. for us, we don't have flower girls or bridesmaids so we don't have to spend for their clothes. if you would like some bridesmaids/secondary sponsors, you can ask them sweetly to shoulder the costs of theit gowns (i've done that a couple of times before for my friends' weddings). you can opt not to decorate the church (another friend did this and their wedding looked great). you can get a cheaper photographer, caterer, venue, etc. i learned from here that max's has wedding packages (which means you don't have to spend for decorations at the venue since max's restos are also charming). and of course, like you mentioned, have fewer guests :-)

@charmed30 - December 2015 b2b ako sis! serious preparation = 1 year. yung scouting and browsing lang = 6 months.
like sis 120515 yung ibang pambayad will come from our savings this month up to the December which was already computed by h2b.

^sis sa bridesmaid, you can ask them to shoulder yung gowns nila and treat it as a gift sa couple. ok naman sa kanila basta you have to inform them early on.

Just sharing this affordable package I got from potter ridge in tagaytay:

Entire family and groom are inlove with their hotel. Hands down sa view at linis and aliwalas. Tipong magandang ayusan kasi all white. Nasa mainroad din and may free parking. Pero mas inlove ako kay KbyC. Kung hindi ko nalaman si KbyC na caterer, baka dito ako sa Potter Ridge. Mas mura at okay naman menu. Medyo nanghihinayang tuloy ako! Caleruega bride here at very malapit lang ito sa Splendido.

haha yun lang! non nego mo na kasi si kbyc. happy preps na lang sis! parang ayoko na din mag wedding package, but its good kasi it gave me an idea what are the necessities sa isang wedding.

It's so nice reading all these I remember myself during wedding preps hehe. We pulled off a simple Christian wedding with our families and close friends. Konti lang suppliers namin, venue was 15k in Makati (GM Events Venue) for our 150 guests. Same location for ceremony and reception na ginawa namin sa venue.

Then our caterer was Bistro 109 which we paid 89k for 150 guests and complete menu na soup, salad, pasta, rice, 4 main dishes, 4 desserts, drinks: soda, iced tea, coffee, tea and purified water na free-flow lahat.

We had a good  P/V since yun na lang maiwan samin after wedding and edible souvenirs for guests. Our simple wedding cake (rainbow cake) naman was worth 1.5k pesos and it tasted good as it looked.

We only used the basic sound system from the venue. Our wedding host, singers, musical instruments are all friends lang hehe and we love them all. Our attire were all from Divisoria. Accessories and other materials were all from Divi din and Binondo. We hired WC din naman to make our event stress-free. I think more or less 200k na shell out namin for our December 2014 wedding.

*clap clap* galing mo naman sis! its so hard to look for a venue na cheap but not looking cheap. one of the biggest chunk ng expenses was the venue na eh kaya yan talaga ang inuna kong i-search while planning/browsing.

share lang... i planned a very budgeted wedding... kasi hindi na practical kasi may kid na kami... initial budget was 100k for a Tagaytay wedding. Pero habang papalapit ng papalapit, mejo dun mo makikita yung paglobo ng expenses, so more or less naging 200k sya, but kasama na dun yung mga sinagot ng families namin for us.

We had 85 guests. Bali 83. kasi kasama na kami sa 85. Lahat yan Family and relatives. 10pax lang ang friends namin. Abay pa namin sila. And sila talaga yung barkada namin. As in common friends namin ni hubby. Walang ofcmates, etc...

Major Expenses:

Food/Catering/Venue - My reception venue is Balay Indang. Per pax yung bayad, and wala na bayad yung venue if sa kanila ka kukuha ng food. I had 85 guests. 750/pax. And their food was superb. So super tipid na ako dito.

P/V- Sabi ko, gusto ko man lang madocument tong moment na to. So i got full photo, full video and SDE, wlaang print outs... With 24 Frames Manila (less than 30k kasama na OOT to Tagaytay)

church - Caleruega (dream church) 15k

Gown - divisoria made (5k) - sagot ng brother ko

ring - (titanium) ( sagot ng brother ko (5k)

florist - sagot ng mom ko (15k) - sabi ko d na ko kukuha nito. kasi nanghihinayang ako. 1 day lang, malalanta din... sabi ng mom ko, sya na daw bahala. kasi baka daw mukha kami kawawa.

entourage dress / FG dresses - sagot nila, gift na nila samin.

for mga abay na guys & bearers - i bought suspenders lang and bowtie, sila na bahala sa white longsleeves and pants

addl expenses: priest stipend, grooms suit (nirent lang), shoes namin ni hubby, overnight stay for preps, van rental for the whole family, (wala kaming sasakyan, i also didnt have a bridal car), simple cake, hmua, OTD, giveaways (25php each)

nakakamiss ang preps!
