Hi mga sis! I'm actually trying to save now for a DSLR. I always wanted to own one, since mahilig talaga ako mag-take ng pictures. Another motivation ko din kasi is I want a serious blog, travel blog. May mga opportunities din kasi ako magtravel abroad minsan. Like right now, I'm studying here in South Korea. Though okay naman [textspeak!] Canon Ixus ko, I want to make it a serious hobby. Last month torn ako between Nikon d3100 and Canon 600d. After reading some reviews, parang mas okay sakin ang Canon 600D. What can you suggest sissies? My bestfriend said mag Nikon daw ako para pareho kami at pwede exchange ng lenses. Pero sabi ko parang mas durable ang Canon. I will appreciate your feedback!

Canon 600d is better than Nikon D3100 but if your friend has tons of Nikon lenses that you wish to borrow, pwede na din ang d3100.

If you like your friend's equipment (flash, lenses, etc), then Nikon ka na lang para you can borrow. But if you have other canon friends naman, mas okay yung service center ng canon sa philippines

Sparkelle, ano ba lenses ng friend mo? Compatible ba sa D3100 yun? (wala kasi internal motor ang d3100 kaya kailangan na lens eh yung may af-s)

Anyway, di ba puwede D90 na lang bilhin mo tutal gusto mo kamo seryosohin eh. Mura na lang naman ang D90 ngayon.

hay im torn between getting a nikon d3100 or the semi pro sony nex c3. kasi naman--dahil sa shutter actuation issue...trigger happy kasi ako. kung bakit naman kasi kailangan may ganoon pa sa slr. takot ako baka sandali lang eh maconsume ko agad yung maximum actuations ng d3100.

hay sis, same dilemma here, torn between buying Canon, Nikon DLSR vs. Sony NEX series.  I went to different stores kanina just to compare and canvass na rin syempre.  I do love Sony NEX series na kasi nga portable yet pwede kabitan ng lens full hd na rin perfect for my online shop, travel photography and family events (so I just literally needs a P&S camera) kaso ka price na nya ang DLSR sa mga brands na nabanggit ko.  40k ang package ng Sony e. 

Any feedback here for Sony NEX users?  mukhang konti lang users nito or baka wala pa...

Try to go to photography forums, like DPP or pinoyphotography. Users of Sony NEX would probably have reviews posted on those sites. They're usually very honest and will nitpick so you'll be sure to know all about the pros and cons of Sony NEX systems.

I'm planning to buy my first slr and I'm eyeing Canon Eos 60D.  For travels and occasions.  Also kasi mejo big family kami, so pag nagkita-kita, which happens a lot, super dami namin na feeling ko sulit na rin ang slr sa dami ng muka na makukunan nito.  Haha.   

Ang question, ok na ba yung kit lens nya na 18-55IS?  Or  mag-body only ako, para mas mura then mag-buy ng parang all-in-one lens na EF-S 55-250IS II.  Ok ba yon or ok na rin naman yung kit lens lang muna?

First na pagga-gamitan ko is sa Pampanga, attend ng fiesta and next is Roxas City, visit lang kay lola.  Sa mga ganito, ok na ang kit lens lang muna?

^ Get the 18-55 kitlens.  The 55-250 is there only to complement the kitlens(18-55) and it is mainly used for far away subjects.  I'm quite sure the 18-55 will suit you well.  Another alternative would be the 18-135.

I'm planning to purchase my first ever dslr hahaha ok ba ang canon kiss X5 japan version ito ng canon 600d which is cheaper same specification and difference lang ay 2 lang ang language either english or japanese lang.

@queencath thank you sis.  I got the 18-55, 10k kasi ang difference ng 18-135.  Pag-ipunan ko nalang yung may 55-250, 20k daw pala yon.  OA.

@lady_jhade saan ka bibili?  yan slr ng friend ko sa japan, x5.  Recommend ko yung Henry's Trinoma branch.  OK sila dun, mababait at knowledgeable.  Mas mahal lang sila ng 500-1k sa Quiapo branch nila.  Nabasa ko kasi somewhere na maganda bumili ng murang Canon dun since may Canon Warranty sila.

Ano palang slr bags nyo?  Ayaw ko sana ng black and halatang pang-slr.  I'm looking for an slr bag na matibay pero girly ang tsura.

Mga sis, pa-recommend naman ng lens perfect for birthday parties. I will cover my nephew's birthday party as requested by my cousin but I only have 18-55 and I'm using Canon 600D.

Any suggestions please, for beginners only and affordable na rin. Event is 2 months from now, so pag-ipunan ko pa.

^  18-55 would be fine.  When it comes to events, a flash is much needed than a new lens.

Ang alam ko approx 11k lang yung 55-250mm.  When it comes to bags naman, I am currently using a ThinkTank Retrospective 30 pero baka malaki sa needs mo yun.  Retro 5 ayos na ang size, not too girly pero super durable naman.  Here are the links:

The Canon 600d/kiss x5 is definitely a good buy.

Thanks for the suggestion sis. I do have a flash already, just working on buying the lens. I was advised to get the Canon EF 24-105 F4L IS USM or Tamron 17-50MM Di II VC - (CANON). Any insights sis?

^ I would prefer the canon 24-105 f/4 over the Tamron 17-50.  But if I were you, I'd rather get the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L, quite expensive but well worth it.  Another alternative would be the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8.

@queencath  ah talaga, 11k lang?  20k yung sinabi sakin, i think.  18k-20k.  or namali lang ako ng dinig or intindi kaya?  ask ko ulit pag naligaw ako ng mega.
