Hi mga sis! I just booked a ticket to Thailand this coming Nov 2012 for only 3k (without baggage - pag-iisipan ko pa ilan dapat ang magiging baggage allowance ko). lol.ang tagal pa. Okay lang ba ang solo travellers sa bangkok? Or much better may kasama? Also, should I just book in a travel agency for the tours? First time ko kasi eh. TIA!

Started back reading. Planning a 4d/3n stay in BKK with the hubby next month. Actually nagsetup nko Ng DIY for kuala lumpur pero parang he might change his mind sa destination.

Anyway, I'm starting from scratch cos it'll be my first time in Thailand (although hubby flies there often). Ok na yung city? No floods sa tourist destinations, I guess, based on your posts.

For accommodations, we're trying to choose from The Peninsula, or Sukhothai (pwede rin Mandarin Oriental or Shang, puro riverside). Yung Sukhothai, I love their rooms based on their website images. Kaso south sathom sya unlike my other choices & it looks like there's a bit of a walk from the bts sala daeng. Hubby wants The Pen and specifically instructed me to get the rolls Royce transfer from the airport. Here I am trying to DIY then splurge pala plans Nya.

Haven't constructed our itin yet. Hope you guys can help me. We'll be flying PAL on business class so 30kg baggage alloc each (excited na ko magshopping because of all your posts! I hope the hubby doesn't get tamaritis! LOL)

Attractions we wanna see are the grand palace, temple of dawn, floating market(optional), Siam area pratunam, central world, paragon, Siam square) and chao phraya dinner cruise. We don't want to go to ayutthaya and prefer to stay in the city. Oh, and spa, spa, spa! ;)

^Go for the Shang! I'm bias when it comes to the Shangri-La. Aside from it's riverside location, I love their Chi Spa. The manager of the spa is a friend and an Air Force brat too like you.  ;)

Hilton? Pwede din sis. Along the river din ata ito. Yung Peninsula, parang katabi ito ng 4seasons where we stayed. Malapit sa shopping malls :) i didnt have to take trains. Walking galore lang.

Ooh, really? Aww, we're all set sa The Pen already...can you PM me the mgr's info, baka know ko sya :)  (allowed ba dito? sorry di ko sure ha) The hubby doesn't wanna let go of the Rolls Royce harhar...all other hotels offer the benz n bmws...(why not go for the private chopper transfer?! haha...mas mahal pa sa buong bakasyon namin hahaha *dreaming lang*)

@sachism-thanks for the tip. The hotels I researched around the area were the shang & mandarin (this one IMO is OA sa mahal!)...the Four Seasons is at the sukhumvit area, not riverside...I found some other hotels named "Four Seasons" but they're not of the same hotel group. Kapangalan lang but boutique hotels and they look nice, too...

My itin:

DAY 1:
PR730 MNLBKK ETD1035 (good luck na lang sa flight delays)
ETA BKK 1300 airport transfer to the hotel

1530-1730 relax at ESPA (hotel spa)

1830 off to river city to check in for dinner cruise

1900-2130 chao phraya dinner cruise (Vday, how corny haha)

2130 back to the hotel

DAY 2:
0630-breakfast at the hotel

0800-1230 -city/temples/grand palace/emerald buddha private tour

1230-onwards lunch & shopping

1900-dinner at one of the shopping areas

DAY 3:
0630-breakfast at the hotel

0730-1700 full day floating market & thai cultural show at the rose garden (lunch included)

1800-dinner & gimmick night (any suggestions?)

DAY 4:
0800-breakfast at the hotel

1100-transfer from hotel to the airport

PR731 BKKMNL ETD 1400
ETA MNL 1820

All I need to research on are our dining options and for nights out. :)
