Hi, I would like to ask anyone here who have tried applying at the french embassy. Were you asked to go back to the embassy to sign a waiver? What waiver is this and does this mean that you have been granted a visa? Thanks!

How detailed should the itinerary be when applying for a visa thru the French embassy? Should I give a day to day list of the places we are going to visit?

sa French embassy kami nag apply, hindi naman kami pinabalik to sign a waiver.

sa itinerary naman, hindi kailangan super detailed. basta nilagay lang naman saan city kami then yung hotel name, address and contact number.

Our visa was approved!:) The waiver was for us to go back to the embassy when we arrive from our trip.

Since the French Embassy does not require one to leave the passport, do i have to submit a photocopy of my passport? Which pages kaya?

^Actually, the french embassy did keep our passport and returned it to us when we came back.

Just a follow-up, in the French embassy will I submit photocopies of the documents and just bring the originals to show or will they get the originals?

^wish I could answer but am applying at the Italian Embassy.

I have a question, on the day of pick-up of documents, okay lang ba na hindi ako mismo ang magbigay sa courier? Or I would need to sign something?

You need to bring photocopies & originals. They usually just get the photocopies.

fixing our itinerary for our honeymoon next year (march or april)

am thinking about the visa process na din,

i think longer stay kami in france, so we'll apply in the french embassy.

question ko is this, for our accommodations kc we'll be renting an apartment in paris nalang, so for that i'll just print our the reservations/emails with the landlord.
but for italy, we plan to stay in my aunt's house. she is filipino, but her husband is italian.
what should i get to show that we will be staying with her family?

^for Italy you can present a lettera di invito, letter of invitation and prepare the documents of the person who is going to invite you.

^medyo may hassle lang yan dun sa tita mo coz of the required docs. pwede ka rin pabook na lang sa hotel sa italy then cancel mo na lang pag na-approve visa mo.

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to start with my application for a Schengen visa from the Italian Embassy.
I read all pages and even the previous thread's but didn't seem to get a clear process on how to go about the application.

For step 1, do I contact the Italian embassy for document pickup? Do I include the visa payment?
After this, how do i get scheduled for interview? I read in some posts that "personal appearance" is no longer required in the Italian embassy.
How long do i wait after the document pickup until visa issuance?

Thanks in advance! I will also post my experience once I start with the process.

^sis here's the procedure:

1. call the embassy to schedule pick-up date. take note of the instructions on labeling the envelope, payment, etc.
2. prepare your documents to be submitted.
3. wait for the courier to pick-up your docs.
4. wait for the courier to deliver your passport.

Based on experience, how long is the visa processing? My friend, who is also applying with me, needs to travel to Canada by August 7.
