hi mga sis! My friend was denied at the spanish embassy they will appeal by tues, what are the chances she will be granted? they are supposed to leave on the 25th

 ^Bakit daw sila denied? Any reason given by the embassy? What's your friend's travel profile?

@mamasqueak, no reason binigay ng spanish embassy actually feeling ko tlaga high risk - she's 22yrs old, just 1yr at her job, travelled to singapore only (i think), and a nursing grad although she went to a diff field na. her bf's family is funding for her trip. the whole family including bf's and gf's are joining, all expenses paid by father, but they group did not apply/ appear at the same time. napaka swerteng bata sana.

Hi, my friends and I are going to Europe 1st week of October and plan to apply for our visas thru the French embassy.
Is it possible to call the call center now and schedule an interview for July?
One of my friends is going to Canada kasi in August and we want to have our Schengen visa na before she leaves.

 ^Probably you can give them a call around June and tell them your friend's situation. Most probably they'll give you a schedule in July

@foxymom: I got denied in my first application with the Italian Embassy. I did not appeal - I applied again instead, same embassy. They granted my visa sa second application. Visa was released 3 days before my flight date. Hmmmm, your

Not sure what are the chances to appeal - or how long that process takes. The way I understand the appeal, you need a lawyer in that country. If your friend reapplies, she has to find out WHY so she'll know what other docs to present if she reapplies. I read somewhere in the internet that all embassies issuing schengen visas should give the applicant the "standard checklist for refusal of visa".

Sa italian embassy kami nag apply and our documents are scheduled for pick up on may 09. I was back reading and kinabahan naman ako as mostly ay sa italian embassy nag apply at na de deny  This is my first time to apply for a schengen visa and our company will be supporting our travel as a familiarization tour.

my friend's appeal / reapplication was denied 1st denial was because she did not establish enough ties that she will go back to the philippines i thought they appealed, but they immediately reapplied. 2nd application was denied again because i think you cannot apply within 30 days of 1st application.

at the spanish embassy, no appearance if you have a valid US visa. my friend did not have a visa (was actually denied late last year) so she had to appear, and subsequently denied do you think her US visa denial had a big impact to her schengen visa denial?

^I think the primary reason for her denial was the "ties to the Philippines". I'm sure that is also the reason for her US visa denial.

You also have to factor in her travel profile. Has she been travelling often? If not then hindi pa nya na-prove na she has the means to travel and that she always comes back home. Probably ask her to travel around the region muna, build up a good travel profile.

our schengen visa application was approved! my hubby and i applied for a 3-week trip. we're going backpacking style so no tour packages, so travel agencies told us na malaking chance na ma-deny kami especially 1st time namin to europe.
pero thanks sa mga encouragements dito sa forum, we stayed firm, did all  the hotel reservations ourselves and made sure our documents are complete and clear nagpatulong lang kami sa travel agency regarding the airline ticket reservation and the visa application assistance (scheduling, review of documents, actual application and claiming of results). we applied sa french embassy

I'm going to post details of our application process and other tips once I finish composing it (medyo mahaba eh)

Problem ko po is parang unemployed ako, kasi sa h2b ko naka name business namin, partners kami, and wala ako ITR since after college nagstart na kami sa business. Balak kasi namin mag honeymoon nextyear. May chance ba ako maggrant ng visa?
