Schengen Visa Application (2) Check 1st page for the Requirements

Hi I have a question, if I am in Israel and want to apply for a Schengen Visa, will the requirements be the same? What if I hold temporary resident's status, will it be easier for me? Thanks!

Not sure with the other embassies but our experience with the Austrian, French and German embassy, we had photocopies of all the original documents that we can't leave with them like our ITR, passbooks, company IDs, old passports with visas and the like. But for all the other documents like the COE, itinerary (in exel file), etc. no need.

@m_lim, Saan ka mag aaply ng visa? I photocopied my old visas para sure. hehe

@mama squeak, how about the round trip ticket and hotel bookings, no need to photocopy?

^No need since you can always print out another e-ticket or hotel booking confirmation in case they ask for a copy.

Effective April 10, you have to call a premium hotline to schedule an appointment at the French embassy. Kainis, sana ginawa na lang nilang online yung pag-sked ng appointment, ok lang na may bayad na fixed rate. Nakakainis kaseng tumawag sa premium hotlines na obvious na binabagalan nung mga CSRs yung pagkuha ng info. Sobrang rip off.

does this mean that the French embassy will be like the Italian embassy, wherein a courier picks up your application and documents and no more interview?

^sis, as i understand it same pa din yung procedure, meaning you have to appear personally at the embassy. yung pag-schedule lang ng appointment yung nagbago. instead of emailing or calling them directly, you have to call a third party agency.

just had our interview. seven kami at hindi namin nadala old passports namin, pinapadala sa April11 which is also the day daw na malalaman kung granted ang visa or hindi. may chance kaya denied dahil hindi dala ang old passports? nandun US visa namin. [textspeak!] just forgot to bring old passports:(

wala kami travel agent. sarili lang kami nag apply. actually, alam namin na kailangan dalhin ang old passports. kaso nga lang, in laws ko humawak lahat ng papers and passports namin. eh sa dami namin, nalito daw sila at hindi nadala old passports

hay, sana nga granted. kasi bayad na hotel, plane and cruise tickets namin. waaah

2weeks ako hindi makakatulog neto.

is it ok to give a bank certification coming from a multipurpose cooperative or talagang dapat from commercial bank talaga? tia.

Happened to me to during my second application. I didn't bring my old passport and I brought the following day - not on the day of the visa release. But it did not help my application because  I only traveled to HK when I was a kid. So wala ding bearing. Still, I was granted the visa.  The decision can be made on the day of the release because they just print the visa, you just have to wait for a while - a couple of minutes. In my case, I believe the decision was made on the day that my visa was released because the consul still interviewed me.

I know the praning feeling. My  advice is to pray.

hi mga sis!
we had our visa application interview last march 20 at the french embassy
it seemed to have well and we were asked to go back after 1 week. since we were being assisted by a travel agency, we signed authorization letters to let them claim the visas for us and we'll claim it from them and purchase the tickets narin.
pero on the day of when the visas are supposed to be claimed (this past Tuesday), pinabalik daw the next day yung authorized person namin. So kanina bumalik dun yung authorized person namin pero this time, sabi daw sa kanya balik cya April 2!
According to her, hindi pa raw ma-release kasi may nich-check/niv-validate pa daw yung embassy.

does this happen often? has this happened to anyone?
we're worried and slightly suspicious na and nakaka-suspense grabe.
any advice?

Is this the last visa I used?

^No. It means the visa for your final destination beyond the Schengen countries in case transiting ka lang or stopping over for a few days sa Schengen states. Now if your final destination is within the Schengen states, just ignore the question and place N/A.
