Cost of Visa:  EUR60  (short stay - less than or equal to 90 consecutive days)

     Thanks for this link about Schengen Visa.
     Anyway, i emailed the french embassy asking for an appointment date for my visa application today. How long will i have to wait for their response po kaya? and usually matagal ba ang date of appointment , like a month or so after my request?  TIA.

Ako na lang uulit sasagot...i emailed the French embassay last Sunday night, and i got a reply from them Monday morning about my appointment date. One month pa...

Anyway, isa pang tanong. I was wondering if i need to secure hotel vouchers for every place i put on my itinerary....?

   Say 4 days Paris, 3 days Rome, 3 days amsterdam.....so wld that mean i shld have all of the hotel vouchers from those places to present during my interview?

^Sis if you read the old thread on Schengen Visa, it is a must to present vouchers/ reservation/ booking forms from the hotel/s where you intend to stay.

^ yep i did. I just thought i shld present my hotel vouchers from my original point of entry lang. So that means that whatever plans i put on my itinerary...i shld specifically book na so i cld present everything to them. Hehe gastos pala pag di mo sinunod [textspeak!] itinerary mo...tsk

^ there are sites naman daw where you can make hotel reservations then have them cancelled after some time

^^Magastos talaga since most hotels charge non-refundable booking fees. In Paris they charge EUR5.00 booking fees. Not sure how much it is in Rome and Amsterdam. Swerte lang if the hotel you chose don't have booking fees. If I were you try to finalise your itinerary before your interview. Sayang din kasi if you'll just be booking hotels just for the purpose of presenting hotel vouchers.

help naman po, my student visa application has been denied due to lack of bank account I failed to present on my interview, but its because I have a sponsor and affidavit of support naman from them.and besides my money were all in cash and in dollars, so I did not deposit it and take them cash on my travel tapos I can buy euro in case I get there.I  appealed twice but then they still denied it, nang hihinayang naman ako sa pinag enrollan ko and the opportunity to study abroad.

Do you think it is ideal if I would re-apply it?Kahit may tatak na yung passport ko ng date ng interview ko last july?Thanks in advance....

@sis tinM19, if I may butt in and answer your concern.

So sorry to hear that your application was denied. When you say appeal, did you appeal in the country's court? Or did you just reapply? I am thinking if you have a sponsor they will appeal your case there.

I'm not sure if the lack of bank account falls under #3 kasi may sponsor ka naman so dapat hindi sya issue.

IMO, it is not worth reapplying if you have nothing new to show. I was asked when I reapplied what changed from my reapplication vs. my denied application. You have to prepare a rebuttal for the reason of the denial. I'm thinking you should get additional docs to argue their reason for denying you - letter from sponsor, proof of stability ng sponsor?

Sis tinM19- first off, you said you enrolled in a language course (Spanish), what is your reason for getting the course?  Is that related to the course you had in college?  I told you- sa Italian Embassy hindi sila nag-a-approve ng visa na ang reason ay mag-aaral ng Italian language unless scholarship grant yun and kung mag-approve man sila, very very special case.  Ang reason nila, ba't ka pa pupunta dun e madami namang centers na nag-offer ng language course dito.

hello ulit...im in the process of completing the necessary documents for my visa application. With regards pala sa isang requirement ng French embassy on approved leave of absence...should i really ask for a leave of absence na this early kahit na walang kasigurahan na they will give me a visa? Baka kasi hindi ako maapprove and then since i have already asked for a leave eh di ako makakabalik ng trabaho agad? Any advices? Thanks

^I don't know how it is in your company but in mine when I request for an employment certificate aside from stating my salary and position nakasama sa letter yung approved leave with a phrase at the end that says "She will be reporting back to work after her approved vacation leave."

Probably you can ask your HR to include your approved VL in your employment certificate.

Ok thanks po. I am thinking about writing a letter asking for vacation leave na lang po. Pero kasi ayaw ko mag apply for vacation leave this early, lalo na kung di maapprove [textspeak!] visa ko. Mamaya sa bahay ko na ispend [textspeak!] approved vacation leave hehee

The Batgirl:  In my case (applied at the French Embassy too), I just got a letter from my boss that  states my position, hire date and states that I have approved vacation leaves on (date of my trip) and purpose of this leave is trip to Europe.
Actually ako lang gumawa ng letter then my boss just signed.

i'll be applying for a visa with my two kids. yung interview process ba the same as sa US embassy? would you know right then and there if visa is approved or not?

so happy! finally got our schengen visa from the french embassy! woohoo, freezing winter xmas, here we come!!
