I was able to go to Taiwan last Dec. and I just want to share what happened.

Hubby and I have US Visas and we have this certificate that we can show the immigration and it serves as our pass. You can download this in their website.
As for my daughter, we applied for a visa. We paid around P2,400.

We went to Taiwan from Dec. 27 - 30. Stayed 1 day in Taipei then rest of our trip in Taoyuan.
My Father-in-law has some local friends in Taiwan since sila yung suppliers namin sa office so sila din yung nag tour sa amin during our 5 day stay.


During our stay in Taipei, nag check-in kami sa Hotel Riviera

The hotel is really nice, our rooms are okay. Not as big as the other hotel. Free wifi in the hotel.
Then nakapunta kami sa Chaing Kai Shek Memorial, Shilin night market, Din Tai Fung.


I think Din Tai Fung has the BEST xiao long bao.

Then we transferred to Kuva Hotel Chateau

nung lumipag kami sa Taoyuan. The hotel is really nice and they have their own art pieces in the hotel. We got a big room, 2 lang kami but it can fit 10 people inside. hehe. Free wifi also.
It's also near to the night market. Walking Distance lang.

This is Taiwan's version of Disneyland. They have a mini zoo in and they feature a lot of monkeys. Konti lang din ang tao considering na it was a holiday and weekend. There are also extreme rides as well. Just don't bother watching the shows. Boring. Mas maganda parin sa Disneyland.

Aside from the sceneries, which I loved. Sarap ng food sa Taiwan. Dinala kami sa Chinese, Japanese restos. Aside sa Din Tai Fung, I guess the highlight of my trip was this restaurant in the middle of nowhere that serves South African Dishes. Sobrang sarap ng food niya. Tuwang tuwa ako. haha.


When we were there, umabot hangang 8 degrees yung temp. Siyempre tuwang tuwa naman ako kasi sulit na sulit ko yung winter clothes ko. Wala akong nabili since panay winter clothes and I'll be going to HK naman this Jan. But namamahalan ako sa items.

I think Taiwanese people are nicer compared to HK people.

hello mga sis, im starting to arrange our IT na for our taipei trip this coming feb25 to march1. alangan ang oras ng flight namin via cebu pacific almost 1am na dating namin sa taoyuan airport ano kaya ang masusugest niyong way for us to go to our hotel in near MRT Ximen Station? thanks!

^ From Taoyuan airport, it's usually by bus. If I remember correctly, pag-exit niyo sa baggage counter, turn left and go straight. May mga bus counters doon. I lived near Taipei Main Station before and it's about a 45-minute drive.

^i've read na wala nang public transportation pag mga 130am na? i saw sa trip advisor na mag hire nalang ng taxi.. may nakaemail ako 900 ang singil from airport to our hotel ok na ba yun? 2 pax kami..

^ Oh yeah... No buses and MRT at that hour. Bus kasi is more or less $150NT ata per person so $900 for taxi siguro pwede na at that hour. It's better than getting stuck there at the airport.

As for your IT:
Day 1
Maokong to Taipei 101, you can take MRT to Taipei City Hall (blue line). I know there should be a free shuttle bus from the station to Taipei 101 (I did this before).
* Mukhang kaya naman in terms of your schedule

Day 2
To National Palace Museum, you can take MRT to Shilin MRT (i think) and then bus (i think)
To Chiang Kai Shek Memorial, you can take the MRT as well.
To Miramar, use MRT brown line. I'm not sure if it's Dazhi or Jiannan Rd. station.
To Hello Kitty, I don't know where this is...
To Shilin Night Market, use MRT to JIANTAN! Don't get out at Shilin station since mas malayo.
* I think you have to re-arrange the places you'll go kasi ang lalayo e..

Day 3
I think you're talking about Danshui (farthest station ng red line).

Be sure to eat their signature dishes, stinky tofu and pig's blood.

^ Okay na siguro yan. Magpapalayo lang sayo is the Miramar e. It's the only place with a ferris wheel on top of a mall? Haha. If you have time to eat more, you can go to Long Shan Temple station. I think the Snake Valley is located there. (They sell snake meat and blood for you to eat/drink)

Or from Miramar, daan ka muna sa Chiang Kai Shek since malapit lang siya sa Taipei Main Station then go to Shilin.

-miramar entertainment park( Jiantan MRT Station exit 1, there is a bus stand for free shuttle bus to Miramar.) MRT (Wenshan-Neihu brown line). Alight at Jiannan Rd MRT Station. Use exit 3 and turn to your right when exiting.

-> Zhongxiao Fuxing station services BOTH blue & brown lines... so take this station (make sure you take the brown line, not blue though) to get to JianNAN Rd. MRT station. Kita agad yung Miramar mall so you won't get lost.

(Also, JianTAN MRT is Red line... malayo na. No need to go all the way to this station).

Hi sisses! i have a trip to Taiwan on April, question po..need ba talaga to show ng hotel reservation sa pagkuha ng visa? Wala naman sya sa list ng requirements when I checked on their website pero I read here na nagsusubmit ang mga sis natin. Kasi we're going to stay lang sa house ng pinsan namin sa Taiwan so do we need to show ba an invitation letter from our cousin na sya magaaccommodate samin? Also once approved, when po ba magstart ang validity ng visa? Pagkaissue po b? For example, if you have your visa approved today dapat within 1 month from today makapagtravel ka na? Is that correct? TIA!

kami sis isasama namin yung hotel booking namin. Rountrip ticket, itr, coe, bank statement, picture, Approve leave plans from company. Need mo ng invitation letter from your cousin with id. Kami as much as possible lahat ng pwedeng ipakita namin na docu ipapakita namin kasi sayang yung bayad sa airfare and hotel. Kinokontak nga namin yung hotel namin to get ID and letter na dun kami mag stay kasi naghigpit na raw ngayon kaso hindi nagreply. Anyways print nalang namin yung email na kinontak namin sila. 


Mga sis have you tried yung dependent visa? balak ko kasing gawing dependent ang mom ko as tourist visa para mas malaking chance maapprove she is 56 and emotionally matanda na hahaha

Question lang po, check ko kasi sa website yung Visa Requirements, meron dun Letter of invitation. In my case kasi holiday lang for 1 week and mag stay kame sa hotel, wala naman ako kakilala doon to provide that letter. Pwede na ba yung Hotel booking and Air tix? TYIA.

how much kaya cash money need namin ni hubby pag punta namin sa taipei?

How long will you stay? I was living at $3,500NT/week (expense) before e. Since you'll go shopping, maybe $1,000-1,500NT per day will be okay or depends kung gaano kayo kalakas magshop. Halos same lang yung cost ng Pinas and Taiwan.

^1.5 ang rate ng peso to ntd right? actually pag shopping we prefer credit cards, cash namin is for food, transpo and entrance fees lang sana
