nah. to heck with people like that. i don't believe that intelligence = boring/not happy to be around with. i have lots of friends who are smart pero masayang kasama. mahirap kaya magpatawa. you have to be intelligent for that kasi dapat mabilis ka mag-isip and witty ka para makagawa ng panalong punchline. i think you were just surrounded by the wrong type of guys. a guy who is in the right disposition and one who has enough confidence in himself and his abilities would love to date a girl who's smart and pretty at the same time. i mean, bakit naman hindi diba? eye candy na, may ibubuga pa. yung pagpapa-cute and pa-charming can only go so far, although it helps. you need to have substance pa rin to carry you through life. if a guy sees this as something negative, then you're better off without him.to the topic naman, i think it's not fair to put intelligence up against physical beauty. pareho naman yang nagagawan ng paraan eh. you could get more intelligent by being more well-read and being aware of what's going on around you. ndi ako naniniwalang may mga taong bobo. masyado lang judgmental at impatient ang ibang tao to teach or give these "bobo" people a chance to prove that they have a functioning brain. or minsan din yung tao mismo, nag-reresign na lang sa thought na bobo siya kaya ndi na niya ginagawan ng paraan to further his intelligence. in that case, katamaran na lang yan. sometimes naman, wala rin talagang means. tulad kung wala kang pang-aral dahil la kayong pera. pero sa totoo lang, marami naman din talagang klase ng intelligence eh. ndi lang yung bookish intelligence na familiar sating lahat.also, you can be more beautiful thru skincare and cosmetics, dressing up and kung extreme, aesthetic surgery. and personally, cliche man pero it always boils down to how a person carries herself. may mga taong ndi naman artistahin yung mukha at katawan pero magaling magdala ng sarili nila kaya attractive sila sa iba kahit pa ndi sila "physically attractive". meron namang saksakan ng ganda pero kulang sa tamang attitude kaya ayun, dedma rin tao sa kanila. kulang kumbaga sa confidence.i believe that your level of intelligence or beauty is not importance. dapat alalahanin pa rin na it's still up to you to make the most out of what you have and especially, to make use of your intelligence and beauty to advance not only yourself but also those who are important to you, be it your partner, your child, your family, your community or your nation. aanhin mo naman ganda at talino mo kung wala ka namang ginagawa sa buhay mo kundi magpaganda lang at magpakatalino. so para sa akin, walang better diyan. better use lang.
Beauty fades way way sooner than intelligence. Beauty also gets boring way way sooner.Nabasa ko rin before pero half joke lang naman. Beautiful people are usually less interesting, because they never had to try so hard to have an actual personality. Hehe.
We talked about this topic sa barkada, and one interesting response is from a guy. Sabi nya, pag ang developer mo maganda kahit palpak ang gawa hindi mo talaga mapagalitan, pero pag hindi kagandahan ineexpect mo na magaling ang pagkakagawa at pagpumalpak nakakainit ng ulo. Another case for extremely beautiful side, I know someone who's not "that intelligent" but now occupies a very influential post in the gov't (legislative). I'm not saying she slept her way up to the post as she was elected but before she became an elected official, her "beauty" catapulted her to high positions thus opening doors for her. And rumor goes that if the chamber needs to "convince" an influential foreign head, they send her to do the convincing. Beauty does it!
