Hi po.  May naka-experience na ba dito na [textspeak!] OB sa St. Luke's QC pero sa Global City nanganak?  Hassle ba yung ganito?  Like baka mahirapan macontact ng Global City staff si OB kung di naman sya regular sa branch nila?

hi mga sis,
i also plan to give birth sa SLQC but yung OB ko ang quote sakin is 120k for NSD with epidural. sabi nya need ko daw epidural and possible assisted birth (forceps or vacuum) kasi i have MVP. SOP ba talaga sa mga merong MVP ang magpa-epidural?
And mahal ba singil nya? Baka meron po makapagrefer ng other OB kasi parang napakamahal naman considering hindi pa naman ako nakakaclassify as High risk patient..

help naman mga girls..

follow up question mga sis, since room in si baby, pano kayo nagbreastfeed kung may mga bisita?

ayaw ko atang i expose boobs ko sa family and friends.

^ Use a nursing cover.  Check out Nursing Mom at Facebook.  She has pretty covers.  I usually give this as a baby shower gift for friends who plan to breastfeed.

For roomed-in babies, sino ang nagpapaligo sa kanila? Will there be a nurse na mag-assist sa pagbabantay kay baby since nagrerecover pa ang mommy?

Admission kit contains of soap, toothbrush, slippers, shampoo and conditioner and lotion. Nursery kit wala ako ideal.

babies are bathed at 2nd-3rd day. yatang nursery kit but the digital thermometer used on your baby during your stay is yours na.

companion - 1 companion is allowed inside the delivery room.

bf during rooming in - since maliit pa ang newborns, ayoko din sila i-confine sa loob ng nursing cover eh halos naka-latch pa naman sila pag bagon panganak. tinakpan ko na lang ng lampin yung exposed part ng boobies. at saka try to limit the visitors kasi you need to rest... pwede pag uwi nyo na siguro at saka sila mag-visit

sisses out there na kakapanganak lang sa slmc qc, how much ang nagastos nyo for cs? sino ob na merommend na hindi OA maningil? thanks im 6weeks preggy and most probably repeat cs ako kasi cs yung 1st born ko...thanks in advance...

You can always ask the nurses to teach you how to bathe your baby before you leave.

there's a nurse that comes by everyday to bathe the baby. bring baby shampoo/wash kasi they will ask you for that. i didn't ask the nurse to teach me pero i observed kung pano niya ginawa. pwede rin siguro magpaturo pero usually they're in a hurry kasi they probably have a lot of babies to bathe.

thanks sis, sige will check the we care program, di ba may mga accredited doctors lang sila na pwede sa we care? hehe sana accredited din ng intellicare din yun makuha ko na doctor sa we care para makuha ko din reimbursement sa hmo namin, sayang din kasi may 30k ako reimburse eh, thanks a lot sis...will update later kung ano makuha ko details...

This happened to me way back October 2010, but in my case, I was confined for the second time during my 2nd pregnancy (1st was in SLMC-QC and the 2nd one was in GC naman).
Anyway, hassle din for my OB because she has to ride the shuttle from QC-GC just to check on me. And sandali lang sya mag-stay because she has to catch the shuttle again back to QC. And, tumaas din ang PF nya by 200% (if I remember correctly) nung nasa GC na ako.

Thanks sis for the reply.  sa GC ka ba nanganak? May I know the name of your OB?  Naku 200% ang PF?  Plan ko pa naman to avail the We Care Maternity Package.

Meron sis, the nurses there will teach you everything you need. At SLMC Global I learned how to give my son a bath, change his nap pies an breastfeed properly. For the nursing cover, my suggestion is buy from Sm dept store na lang. They have one right now na P799 that comes with a slip-on pillow. Plus may boning young cover so easy to latch the baby because makikita mo siya.

one of the best things i ever bought is a breastfeeding pillow. you can check out bosom buddies.
