BPI's Maxi Saver?

Internet based bank ang BPI Direct.
Talagang wala silang physical branch pero
ang pwede kang mag elect ng isang BPI Main
branch as your home branch.

Hindi ko nagets sinabi mo, sa BPI Direct
lang raw merong MaxiSaver? Kasi alam ko,
lahat meron, BPI Main, BPI Family at BPI Direct.

Technically that's a correct answer kasi you have to go online
to open an BPI Direct account but then after you submit you have to go to a
BPI Main branch to get your ATM card and  to submit your requirements.

When I opened my account, only BPI Main branches were eligible
to be nominated as a "home" branch of a BPI Direct account.

I'm not sure if they now allow BPI Family branches...

I tried opening with BPI Direct... filled up the forms and everything... and grabe... super tagal... I followed up through email and finally, may nagreply... asking if tutuloy ko ba daw ang pag-open... and I replied yes... tapos wala na naman reply for almost a week na. I dunno why it takes so long. Anybody experienced this? Don't they want people to open new account? I don't get it. I have the funds all ready... but I just can't open the account.

I just opened up a Maxi Saver account yesterday. Dito ako Qatar, nag-open ako through Al Zaman Exchange (Matar Qadeem branch). Minimum was 25k pesos (2270 QAR). Filled up the forms there, wala nakong ginawa online. I will get my ATM daw in 3-4 weeks. Excited nako. Three years na kasi ako sa abroad pero wala pang ipon. Plan to use this to build an emergency fund.

i have this type of account parang di ko naman ganong ramdam yung interest nito di pa ko nagwiwithdraw since magdeposit july last year..

mamaya check ko anong improvements...

yup ganun talaga super tagal mag-open doon. i've opened two bpi direct accounts, parehong one month ang hihintayin pa bago ka papupuntahin sa bank. you'd get an email for that.

anyway one time hassle lang naman yan. most of the time mafi-feel mo yung account na as in parang na-open mo lang sa isa sa mga physical branches nila.

Sis bakit 25k lang? I thought 50k initial deposit.

Opo pwede pero the point is, with a court order, halos lahat rin
ng mga properties mo ay magagarnish.. 

Is it safe to open an account if ipapangalan ko na lang sa son ko if may unpaid cc si hubby sa bank? Can the bank hold my son's money in the future?

One more question pala mga sis. Yung 25k lang ba na initial deposit ang hindi mo dapat babawasan para magkainterest in a month? Kunyari, 25k pag nagopen account then after 1week nagdeposit ulit ako 5k. Yung 5k pede ko ba iwithraw? Or dapat talaga lahat ng papasok sa account mo walang mabawas in a month?

Update: after 3 weeks from date of application, natanggap ko na yung ATM card ko for my Maxi-Saver account. Correct na under BPI Direct siya, kaya 25k lang ang minimum.

Hello mga sis, baket nung nag-open ako nito 75k ang minimum deposit. Nung January ko ino-open.
Baket dito 50k lang
