Hi! gave birth last sept 14 sa chinese general hospital under Dra Susana Lao. normal delivery ako but had epidural at 5cm. good thing i considered na magpainless kasi from the time it was administered sa OR, i was abe to focus more on my OB's instructions at ilang ire lang,lumabas na si baby.

At first hesitant ako kasi having epidural is an addidtional 5-10K sabi ng OB and (medyo) malaki yung chances na ma-CS pag hindi marunong umire yung mommy. But my OB said, as long as you follow her instructions (na umire when they give the signal, then it wont be a problem). Overall, i really enjoyed the experience...kasi paglabas ni baby, they put her in my chest and i had a good first look at her. In fact nilalaro at kinakausap ko na siya sa OR pa lang... both of us were wheeled out of the OR to the recovery room together.Medyo nagulat pa ako sa recovery room kasi ako lang ang gising sa mga mommies.

The nurse explained to me that the other mommies were given the regular/standard anesthesia (twilight) at yun ang side effect nun - groggy at tulog sila after giving birth because they felt the "pain" unlike yung epidural na gising na gising ako at hindi ako ganun kapagod...kaya kami lang dalawa ng baby ko ang maingay sa recovery room.

Overall, maganda naman ang service ng hospital...from the labor room (though medyo apathetic yung majority ng nurse at ibang OB dun pero accomodating naman when you ask for something)...malinis ang OR at maayos naman ang recovery room. We decided to get the ward area (non-aircon) since wala naman kaming complications ni baby and will be discharged after a day. Yun din ang tip sa akin ng two officemates ko in case na NSD ako.. At that time naisip namin na yung matitipid namin sa room, ibabayad na lang namin sa epidural. When we checked the bill on my last day, we were suprised that the epidural/anesthesiologist fee costs us only 4500 when we were expecting 5-10K. Naisip nga namin sana nag-aircon na lang kami lol!

I highly recommend my OB - Dra Lao kasi super hands on at maalaga siya all through out. Til 3PM lang siya sa hospital but she stayed hanggang gabi kasi 9:38PM ako nanganak. She gave us a discount sa PF niya (charged us 6K) kasi wala naman complications and she said di siya nahirapan sa ken

Covered ng card namin yung consultation sa kanya (medicard) but i think 500/consultation niya if walang card. When she found out na hindi covered ng card namin ang laboratory, she had me go to New World Diagnostics kasi mura doon yung mga needed tests at ultrasound. She also gave me my admission slip nung malapit na ko manganak para i dont need to go the the ER (thus avoiding any ER fees) 

I think our bill was around 29K after ng discount from Philhealth. Inclusive na of everything-PFs, labor room fees, plus charges kay baby like yung mga na-administer na immunizations at pedia fee. It was good na yung binigay na package ni dra was 35K up for NSD at 45K up fo CS. Sabi nga niya mas maganda ng magprepare kami ng sobra kesa kulang.

There was only one thing that bothered me during my stay there. YUng mommy na katabi ko sa labor room had to deliver her baby prematurely kasi pumutok na yung amniotic bag niya a month before her due. I overheard the intern discussed to her na if ever ma-incubator yung baby niya, 15K/day. It made me think na talagang dapat you have more than enough funds just in case may complications either yung mommy or si baby.

ako din sis si dr.lao ang ob ko, btw, check up fee nya is 200 kasi up to last cover ng card ko consultation but since nagresign na si hubby ask ko secretary about pf nya ayun nga sabi nya 200 lang, kakatuwa kasi hindi sya after sa money, imo...

mga sis, sino ang ma-recommend niyo sa chinese? i've read the entire thread and sana may makapag-share ng medyo latest na info. mukhang solved na ako dito since malapit sa amin, OB na lang talaga ang kulang. EDD ko is january 16, 2013. TIA!

Hi mga sis! Tanong ko lang kung magdadala pa ko ng damit ni baby pag nanganak ako sa CGH o sila muna magpoprovide ng clothes ni baby habang dun sya nag stay? Take home clothes nalang ba dadalin ko?

^Sis magdala ka ng clothes ni baby, wala sila ipo-provide, basic toiletries lang like basin, baby wash, etc. Walang clothes and blankets.

Bring ka rin ng pansapin sa higaan ni baby sis. Don't forget to bring socks/mittens ni baby kasi medyo malamig sa old building, centralized yung aircon.

hi new po ako dito looking for ob din po 2nd baby ko na po my first one  is cs po ako sa QMMC and i found out na hindi nice manganak dun although super baba ng babayaran mo dun my 1st baby is yellow baby so need to stay pa ng matagal sa hospital....any suggestion po na OB near Quezon city or Manila gusto ko sana kay doc ZAMORA ng CGH eh hindi ko aman aLam sched nia sa CGH....

mga sis i dont know where to post this but may i ask sa mga nakapanganak na sa mga CGH OBs, meron ba sa kanila nag iimplant ng birth control, yung nilalagay sa bandang ilalim ng arms? and pwede ba walk-in with that or kelangan magpasked/reserve muna? TIA

my ob here is Dra. Socorro Zamorra, due on july 9. I asked her kung magkano aabutin ng normal delivery, she quoted me 35k-40k semi private and with no complication daw un then pag cs daw 50k-60k semi private and with no complication. well, im hoping na normal delivery ako para less gastos

my ob here is Dra. Socorro Zamorra, due on july 9. I asked her kung magkano aabutin ng normal delivery, she quoted me 35k-40k semi private and with no complication daw un then pag cs daw 50k-60k semi private and with no complication. well, im hoping na normal delivery ako para less gastos

hi sis Beng01 for me sis mabait syang ob, anak ang tawag niya sa mga patient niya. She is really good kasi every tanong ko naman nasasagot niya lahat with complete explanation. then napakamalumanay niyang magsalita. Mukhang experienced doctor din niya. Dami ko ng napuntahang OB pero sa kanya ako nagstay.
