Hi kwang sun
I also have PCOS. I've known this even before I got married. And difficulty to concieve is just one of many.
Saken kasi I have pimples, and mabilis mapagod due to hormonal imbalance, which is also from PCOs. Maganda ma-correct na to sis while you're still young. :)

If I were to turn back time, sana tinuloy-tuloy ko na proper diet and exercise ko noon para di na ko dumaan sa TTC stage. hehe.. :)

I was an althea user for 3 months sobrang hassle ng side effects so i stopped di ako pimple-in even in my younger years and nung 2 months na nagstop ako hala grabe ang acne ko sa noo sa pisngi so ang naiisip ko lang baka eto yung epekto ng pagtigil ko ng pills.

Hi Sis!

Anong mga tests/procedures ba ginagawa to determine if may PCOS ka?

Sa akin kasi I went to OB hoping sana to find out if may PCOS ako (been suffering from acne, hair fall and my period has been irregular ever since). But she prescribed DB 10, once a day for 10 days to regulate my period. When I went back to her ng dumating ang menstruation ko, I was hoping na request niya ako to undergo test but wala pa rin. Prescribe naman siya ng Provera this time, once a day for 10 days din.

I'm just confused bakit nauna pa ang mga gamot kaysa sa tests. Did you go through the same procedure?

Saken more than 12 sa parehong ovaries.

Sino OB mo sis? Baka iba treatment sa dalaga? I dont know e..

Base sa mga research ko sa PCOS diet, try to balance lang your hormones through diet and exercise. Sounds boring pero yun talaga e. I'm taking apple cider vinegar din for cleansing. Nawawala feeling na pagka-bloated ko.

Nagpaconsult ulit ako sa ibang Ob naman this time after 1 year of stopping the meds that were previously prescribed to me (pills+metformin+exercise, naging regular naman mens ko dito pero nagstop ako kasi nag change company namin ng accredited clinics/docs). Pina TSH and FSH test ako dito sa bago and bigay ko daw previous ultrasound test ko, after 3 days ang result ng FSH/TSH test and I'll get it hopefully later today. I'm 26 y.o and hoping na magkababy rin kami soon ng partner ko :) Halos 9months-1 year kasi interval ng menses ko kaya worried ako. PCOS diagnosed din ako. Goodluck to all of us! :)

Thanks for thr reply sis. My ob is one of the doctors na accredited ng intellicare here sa Iloilo. Siya din ang ob ng mother ko.

After she prescribed provera during my last visit, I asked her kung wala bang mga tests na kailangan kong gawin. Sabi niya wala and said na regulate muna ang period for three months. My friend (who is diagnosed with PCOS) go through the same procedure as yours so I wonder lang kung bakit iba yung sa akin. I'm thinking of going to another ob nga.

^Wala naman sigurong effect ang gluta sa bcp kasi hindi naman sya hormone, it's just another vitamin na may side effect na nakakaputi. In fact, makakabuti pa to because Glutathione helps to detox and cleanse the liver. Dati may iniinom ako na gamot na sobrang tapang so my doc told me to take gluta with it para ma-lessen ang damage sa liver ko. BCP is very bad for the liver kaya I think magandang sabayan ito ng gluta. But it's still better to ask your doc :)

I was diagnosed with PCOS recently. I am experiencing bleeding/spotting between periods. On my ultrasound, it showed that it was bilateral PCOS. I asked my OB if it is possible to have this even if I already gave birth last year and she said yes. She also told me I was lucky since I already have a 1 year-old baby before having this. She prescribed Althea pills which I have to take for 6 months. This is actually my first time to take pills since ang birth control namin ni hubby is by using condom. Hassle kasi I use napkin for 2 weeks instead of 3-5 days lang.

Ever since hindi regular ang menstruation ko. I have always been on the heavy side. 3 years ago I lost weight napansin ko nagregular mens ko. When i gained weight again, ayan na naman siya. This May nagkaroon ako it has been regular since February this year kahit mataba ako until June and July di na ko nagkaroon. Bf thought and hoped buntis ako he was so excited pinagkalat pa sa mga kumpare nya na delayed na ako. After the bagyong Glenda I got fever kasi siguro naulanan ako di ako mabigyan ng gamot ng clinic nurse namin since di pa raw ako dinadatnan baka raw makasama lang if in case positive ako. BF was so disappointed and ako rin. I always thought I have hormonal imbalance. Then meron akong konti lang naman na bigote haha then sa legs ko meron din pero I attribute it sa mga lotion na gamit ko. But no one knows until I have myself checked ng OB. Kaya punta ako ngayon sa OB. Goodluck saken.

Hello, girls. I was also diagnosed with bilateral PCOS. I was given provera for 10 days tapos nag-Althea ako ng 3 months. After that, naging okay yung mens ko tho nagi-spotting ako noong 1st month. I never had a sexual encounter before, so transrectal utz ang ginagawa sakin. Kahit tuloy gusto kong bumalik since after nung di ako nagtake ng pills eh di na ulit ako nagka-mens, nagdadalawang-isip ako. Malamang magu-utz na naman ako. Sobrang kaka-trauma.

One more thing, nung naka-pills ako grabeng pagka-sensitive ko. As in lagi akong naiiyak at naiinis sa mga kasama ko pag may ginagawa silang kahit hindi naman grabeng nakaka-offend. I felt really depressed that time. I even considered consulting a Psychiatrist kasi di ako makapag-isip ng matino. parang feeling ko people are out there to judge me or say something bad about me.

I was also diagnosed with PCOS. Before I used to have acne on my face, especially on the jaw area. As in super dami. When I had my OB checkup here in Bulacan, she said that shed have to do a test kung may PCOS nga ako, kasi she noticed my acne. (Acne and hormones play a significant role to each other, btw). Tas ayun nga meron nga daw. She did not explained anything basta she prescribed me pills-Diane 35. However, I didnt notice any sgnificant improvement on my face.

Haha so intro palang yan. As my acne was my priority that time, I went to the derma in Makati (VSRC). Ampangit na kasi talaga tignan. When she was asking me what products I was using, I also mentioned to her that I have PCOS, thinking that might help her in diagnosing the real cause of my acne. she then asked me if my OB told me about eating a low-glycemic diet. I replied no, Kasi daw may derma has PCOS din and it was a no-no for people wit PCOS to eat foods that has high glycemic index or those food with high sugar. So aside sa acne prescriptions, she also advised me to replace my white bread and rice and shift to brown rice and whole wheat. ANd then ayun, she also said na shes not taking pills anymore, just monitoring and sticking sa low-glycemic diet. Google for it girls. As of now, my face cleared up significantly. Also with the help of my acne products. Good luck satin girls. All the best!

Ha, i experienced the same while taking the pill, and i also thought about talking to a professional. Sobrang hassle. Haha.

So far i've finished 3 packets of my meds already. I haven't missed a period since i started taking it 3 months ago. I'm scheduled to have my utz pa on November (6months post dx).

So sis, with you, irreg ulit period mo after stopping the meds? Ang hirap naman nun, kala ko it's supposed to regulate the hormones for good na. Bilateral PCO din saken and ang advice saken was 1 yr daw ako magmeds before mawala talaga ang cysts. Good to know na sayo 3 months lang nawala na.

Hello, sis simang! Kasi I have this classmate experiencing the same thing kahit payat naman siya. Kasi ako mataba talaga ako (163 lbs) and the recommendation talaga is to lose weight para mag normalize yung hormones ko kasi nagha hyperestrogenism ako due to high fat percentage sa katawan. Wala nang cysts after 3 months based dun sa last UTZ ko akala ko nga goodbye PCOS na, yun pala ganun din. Balik din sa irreg periods. Tapos eto sis nung nagstart akong mag workout biglang nagka mens ulit ako after almost 4 months na wala.
