I read somewhere na di magandang pang bonding time yung watching movies. It is because the two of you are on your own at ang focus nyo is not with each other but in the movie you're watching. So if you will date sa movies, make sure you have another activity after para sa bonding moments nyo.

We have our usual social engagements due to relatives & friends.
The necessary business events we need to go to show our faces at.

Our recent 9day trip to the US is what approximates date night for us nowadays.
It's just the 2 of us, meeting up with close friends and  family.   Most of the time, it's the 2 of us, meandering, revisiting favorite places, dining at favorite restos, shopping, and spending lazy  mornings in bed, and sharing snacks past midnight.

It's becoming a habit we look forward to -- the short overseas breaks we take (sometimes, just 48 hrs in Macau) --  just the 2 of us, with no business agenda.

we're empty nesters so you can say we're always on a date with each other.  only between the weekday hours of 6:45am-5:30pm that we're not together,  that's our travel+office work time.  outside of that is ours to do or not do what we want,  no kids, no parents, no pets, no asungots.  we're both spontaneous people so we go wherever and whenever we feel like it. for example, if we miss the lights in Vegas, then Vegas here we come.  and we don't worry about not getting reservations,  we're ok sleeping in the car if no rooms are available anywhere when we get there.  and during the few hours drive on the way,  we're like magpies,  yada yada yada, we don't seem to run out of things to talk about.  the times that we just want to hang out in the house,  nagiinuman kaming dalawa, tequila shots baby ha ha ha ha.  ok yun di ba,  no problem with DUI pa.  a few years ago,  we used to have a pool table in the garage, so just use your imagination... ;)
and we made a point of waking up like 45 minutes early everyday so we can enjoy a leisurely cup of joe before we head out of the house.  and that's on top of  getting ready at the sametime in the bathroom.  yes we have an ok size master bathroom that allows us to be there at the same with enough elbow room to move about.  ayon daldalan pa din.
and to complete the week,  we go out to dinner Friday nights.
so far we haven't gotten sick of each other's mug yet.

We date every payday unang Friday, sya taya. Second Friday approaching next payday, ako naman taya.

Last Friday we ate at Teddy's Bigger Burgers at Greenbelt.
Then I did something unexpected. First time ko din ginawa, I bought Heineken for him and had it delivered sa table namin serve sa kanya. Nakakatuwa reaction, "Sir I didn't order a beer."
Then he looked at me, I smiled and said, Happy Birthday. though his bday is 2 weeks ago na. LOL

It was a special Heineken, city edition may nakalagay na SHANGHAI. hubby is part Chinese. And that day he bought the Nike Beijing SB. That made it more special.

In order for dates not to be a routine, find something na kakaiba gawin on scheduled dates.

Indoor pala ok rin. watch dvds. Cook. I taught him how to cook. So weekend he volunteered to cook adobo. I secretly wanna marry a chef when I was in HS. :D

Hi antagal na ng last post dito.

I just suddenly realized that I missed this :'( our date would be a short chat or while eating breakfast together at home, weekly grocery + pikapika but usually w/ or toddler, eat out together patakas rarely during bday and wedding anniv pero nagmamadali naman umuwi lagi bec of our 2 boys)

Most of you are very lucky and sobra kaiinggit na your hubbys have effort to date you pa.

This will be my ultimate dream nalang na ma-solo c hubby. Maybe a movie together, eat out in Manila Hotel (specific talaga  :D) out of town or out of the country - he will never initiate even financially we can afford, this makes me think that I am no longer a priority and less loved. When we got married he turned into an extremely family man-managing our future finances & more savings for the kids which is a good thing and these balances my way of thinking  :P . But as a woman who by nature is longing for the love from her man :'( I really miss us lang  :-\ - ty just venting out hehe

Pls let me buhayin ko uli itong thread;) Unintentionally I think God has his ways of cheering me up by showing this to me again - I just realized kasi that from my previous post, things turned out differently  :) maybe because may yaya na si bunso, he's now a toddler na rin so mas madalas na kami makatakas hehe.

For the past months we're having our frequent weekend getaway usually Sat breakfast before maggrocery, minsan nagyaya si hubby bumaba magjogging daw w/o knowing gusto pala magroad trip - nakarating ng tagaytay para magbreakfast lang  ;D, then one time naman kala ko we will go to wet market lang pero nagyaya sa binondo (matagal na namin pangarap) twice na, he's saying and thinking of coming back sa ibang restos naman to dine and we discovered stores we're planning to go back soon:)

& just 2 months ago lang, nakakagulat when he's telling me he wanted us to go backpacking to this place in Mindanao with me to relieve stress sa work, akala ko isa lang yon sa mga "plans" nya - but he one day emailed me our airfare tickets - I was very doubtful and in denial na "sigurado ka" to the nth times ko ata tinanong kung sigurado cya hahaha -> after our 5 day adventure together - I kinda told him na nabawi yung years na di namin ito nagawa. Then after our travel together. Now, andami na nyang place na naiisip puntahan, pag pala naumpisahan na ninyo saka lang maiisip [textspeak!] kahalagahan nun anlaking tulong talaga for a reboot sa relationship, sa family life and sa work - our laughs, intimacy and pics all worth the expenses  ;D
We're not movie goers naman we like watching at home lang with our 2 boys, we havent tried lang din siguro ang fine dining but for now we like short getaways lang and I'm so greatful appreciate him more.

Salamat sa pagbasa mga sis just sharing sa mga makakarelate sakin - God just granted me my secret wish, just pray and He listens and answers, He knows I miss my husband so much ;D although I have occasional sad moments and when it strikes I have my good memory bank full ;D ;D ;D

Its a must sa mag-asawa, to have time together para mabuo ang COUPLENESS ninyo as husband and Wife. Natutunan namin yan sa ME (Marriage Encounter) nung nag attend kami last year. 😀😍

Di yan uso sa Amin ni hubby. We usually go out on Sunday with our son. The usual Lang naman have lunch sa mall / buy a few things then have some merienda sa mall and head home na. Sa house na Kami dinner. I broached up the subject na sana kahit minsan meron kami time for each other and he would reply na lumalabas naman Kami on Sundays. Btw, he does not have work on Saturday. Lagi sya lumalabas  on Saturday ayaw niya ako kasama.  araw daw niya  pag sabado the nerve!!!  >:(

Lately, napapadalas ang gala namin ni hubby. We went to El Nido for a 5 day trip.

Hubby and I always have a quick lunch at least once a week lalo na pag di siya busy sa work.  Our date is usually a dinner and a couple of drinks sa bar.  pag may special occasion I would book a hotel room just for the 2 of us ako ang taya kasi yung Sunday family dinner out namin siya naman ang taya. Hubby says date nights and family dinner is a must kasi daw cheaper than counseling or worst divorce.

We have our timeout with the kids should be every twice a week.

Yesterday we have our date, nakakatawa pinagbuksan ako ng pinto ng car tapos lalabas ako, we were just laughing. Actually most of the time when we have our date we usually have pen and paper with us to write down our plans since hindi kami makapagusap sa bahay kasi sa mga kids dami nilang kuwento, hindi kami talaga makapag solo sa house kaya we find time to go out to have plan and discuss our goals for our family.

It's really hard for me to leave our daughter with someone else. I feel like weekends should be spent with her so we seldom go on dates. A week ago, my husband took me out for dinner and dessert but gusto ko agad umuwi kasi nga I don't want to leave our baby for too long. Nagguilty ako.

Anyway, I'm gonna try na next time, I won't ask to go home agad and if hubby wants to watch a movie or whatever, pagbigyan na kasi we seldom go on dates naman talaga... so I shouldn't feel guilty (but I do)
