update - day 4 & 5 post op: i'm still patiently waiting for tuesday when all the stitches and splinter will be removed... kakainip. i still continue to take vit c plus antibiotics. thank God i'm not experiencing any problem nor complication. i keep on praying i won't have any infection. 3 days to go...

i'll post a before and after picture siguro in 3 weeks para wala nang maga nose ko. i have friends who saw me and they don't think my nose looks fake. sabi nga parang normal lang naman they can't figure out kung anong binago which is exactly what i want. i'll update you sissies if there will be any changes.

Tagal ko na gusto magpa consult kaso layo namin at ngayon na dito na kami sa manila base mas madali na for me. Sino po ba doctors ang marerecommend nyo? Will surely appreciate. Thanks!

Sis sa akin lang, go for silicone and  cartilage but not goretex... Tama si sis insekyora.. Malaking problema pag ang goretex pag ni-mold ang sheet sa iyo and in-osteotomy ka tapos nagka-infection ka after matagal na sa iyo ang goretex (mas matagal, mas lagot!) Pag nagka-infection ka, 1. Gudlak sa paghahanap ng doctors na papayag kayurin lahat ng goretex na walang tatamaang tissues 2. Pag na-infect ka, kailangan pahinga ng 6 months ang nose bago lagyan ng bagong implant and your nose after makayod ang infected gorteex will look like a blob na wasak dahil pinukpok yung bone structure so kaya mong ganon ang ilong mo for 6 months while waiting for a revision?

Silicone is the "gold standard" considering the pros and cons kasi ok pa rin ilong mo pag nagka-problema at pinatanggal mo implant pero you gotta deal with shrinkwrapping and the likes at hindi laging satisfactory

Cartilage is the best choice in thr hands of the right surgeon.

Go to Florencio Lucero for silicone if you want safe, but if you want maganda, Jay Recasata pero humanda ka sa scars sa alars and go to CCJ (cora jose) for silicone and cartilage. CCJ is the best among them for me. Partial ako sa kanya. Siya puntahan ng mga wasak ang ilong

patay sis! eh yan pa naman pinaka problema ko scarring  may prone kasi ako sa hypertrophic scars yung C section ko nga eh continue pa rin ako sa pagpapa inject para lumiit di kasi nadala sa contractubex at iba pang cream/gel (sorry OT) anyway gusto ko na sana magpa consult as soon as possible para ma set ko ang schedule medyo excited lang supportive naman kasi si hubby sa decision kong magparhino

hello sis insekyora glad to hear na cartilage pinili mo, kulang ang pagpopromote ko kay doc collantes para sa mga great things na nagawa niya for me, una siya ang pinakamabait na doctor na nakilala ko as in ! hindi mukhang pera, lahat ng best effort binibigay niya mapamura man o mahal ang bayad, hindi kagaya ng  ibang doctor na binabayaran mo ang oras lalo na pag consultation, sa sobrang tagal nga namin magusap ultimo buhay buhay napaguusapan na namin, true ang hangad mapaganda ang pasyente niya, kung di need ng surgery di niya gagawin. i really love doc collantes obvious naman hehe she's like a mom samin ng mister ko =)

update - day 7 post op: i have a flu i keep on sneezing and coughing and i have a runny nose is this a symptom of infection sa rhino ko? (

I was considering mixed of goretex and cartilage but after reading the whole thread, I decided to have pure cartilage na lang and eyeing for Dr. Collantes.
Planning to have my nose enhanced this year.

Just curious, to those who have undergone rhino, how do you take a bath or wash your face?

Hi

For those who have undergone rhinoplasty, you may actually take a bath the following day but do take note that a surgical wound needs about TWO days to fully close. If water gets into the nose area, just make sure you clean the wound well after the bath. Use cotton buds dipped in betadine or hydrogen peroxide and gently clean the area.

If possible, just take a bath from the neck down and wash your hair too. Then I suggest using wet wipes and toner for the face.

Always remember to keep the nose area clean by using hydrogen peroxide first, followed by betadine. If scabs form, they are the ones that may cause discomfort during removal of the stitches.

Hi po sa lahat po ng naging patient ni doc collantes esp po kay sis insekyora at chichoran pwede po patingin bfore and after photos nyu po? Plz please po mga sizzy. Kasi tutuloy napo ako this september sakanaya kaso di pa ko nakakapagpaconsult sa kanya. Sana mahelp niyo po ako. Actually 75k is cheapest na considering kasama tip at alar plasty eh kung kay doc jay at doc alonzo iba singil nila sa bridge silicon pa yan plus tip plus alar pa. Do yoir research sis ask doc eric and doc galvez magkano over all cartilage nila

Where to buy Sinnech (arnica montana)? It's not available in Mercury Drug, and so is Bromelain. Any other alternative?
