Hi everyone. Finally had my Rhinoplasty (Goretex implant -- with alarplasty, osteotomy and tip plasty using my ear cartilage) yesterday. I'm at my rented pad now, resting. I picked Dr. Eric Yapjuanco of The Icon Clinic because of the positive reviews I read about him sa kabilang forum and also because of his impressive credentials. Mabilis din sya mg reply and his explanations are always very clear, honest and on time.

Everything is still swollen but judging from how my nose looked minutes after the surgery, this is going to be all worth it.

For those who will ask for before and after pics, I will send them via email after two weeks. For now, I need to rest and recover.

Rhinoplasty is not for everyone. It's not completely painless and sabi nga, tiis ganda talaga. For those of you who are really decided, go for it but do make sure you're prepared financially, psychologically, and of course physically.

Try and talk to Dr. Eric of The Icon Clinic. Even just via email and you will get a reply as quickly and as professionally as you'd want. His rates are not bad and while my experience was not completely painless (i hated the injections for anesthesia), the results were worth it.

Right after ng surgery makikita mo agad ang difference, and he will help you see it with pictures and explanations. Mababait din mga nurses nya, as in they hold your hand and take care of you like they're your friends. They even played my favorites songs during the whole procedure and laging may update kung ano nang nagyayari sa operation.

This is not sales talk. I don't stand to gain anything from this endorsement. Masaya lang talaga ako sa choice ko and I'm simply returning the favor.

Word of advise: do not expect a completely painless procedures especially if this is your first try at cosmetic surgery. If you can afford it, go for the general anesthesia that makes you go to sleep. For me, I realized na I didn't like being awake the whole time. While there was only minimal pain, you'd still hear the pulls, breaks and the stretches na gagawin sa ilong mo so that might give you discomfort.

Another thing, hindi rin naging madali for me to tolerate the pain ng anesthesia needles. They had to reinject a couple of times kasi bumabalik na ang sensation sa ilong ko. That part was definitely not easy for me, and this from someone who already gave birth ha

Lastly, anyone here had her nose done with dr. Eric Yapjuangco of icon clinic? Sa kanya ko kasi plan magpa rhinoplasty since he gave me a reasonable discount. Yung procedure na gagawin sakin is osteotomy may humps kasi tapos babasagin daw yung sides ng nose bridge to make it slimmer tapos tiplasty kukuha ng cartilage sa ears for that. Does that sound ok? Although I find the clinic a bit creepy kasi hindi sya superB pero neat naman. Thanks in advance

I had mine done at Dr Eric's clinic. You are right, their clinic is not the best looking but it was spotless and really well run. The staff were attentive and they seemed happy working with Doc Eric.

Ng osteotomy din saken si doc, with tip plasty and alarplasty and goretex implant. medyo matagal kasi nga ngbasag ng buto. but minutes after the surgery, you will see results even if ng start na ng swell ang nose mo.

My experience with Doc Eric was a good one. He does not compromise and if he feels kulang pa ginawa nya, he will do something about it, right there and then. Kahit matagalan pa kau, kesa daw mgpa correct pako after. He's a perfectionist, he carves your nose according to what looks best for you, not only through his eyes but also through yours.

As in sis, makikita mo talaga ang difference sa nose mo right away. And bonus pa that he's funny in the OR

How long ang recovery pag alar trimming lang?  Medyo wide kase nose opening ko, di tuloy napapansin ang bridge.

Thank you!! eto I'm still recovering. Tinanggal na yung stitches sa ala and bandages sa bridge just this morning and i can already see the nice angle ng nose ko. Some parts of my face is still swollen with yellow bruises, other than that i feel good.

I'm really happy i picked Doc Eric. No regrets. During my second day i got so worried about the swelling but a quick google told me it's normal, no matter how bad it looked. Now, it's not as bad and doc says by next week my face should be free from bruises na.

Thanks, minatay! ikaw, kelan ka papagawa? Do consider my choice. I'm so happy with Doc Eric. Sinabi nga nya during the surgery na mamahalin ko daw sya after, and he was sooo right! konting tiis ganda, and voila! got the nose that i've always wanted!!

na.hassle ako sa thought na the good surgeons are in manila.. i trust only one surgeon dito sa cebu but he refused me and he will only do silicone. ._.

Hi! I'm planning to get rhinoplasty this march 2014. I've already emailed some doctors. One particular doctor kept insisting I get goretex. For those who had their nose done, what kind is your rhinoplasty? Silicone implant or goretex? Btw. I've already tried non surgical rhinoplasty. Its called dermal filler. I had it in dermclinic. It lasts for 4-8 months. The change is very subtle.
