When and where was your last trip and how was it? (Thread3)

Last month, Palm Beach, Florida, for my SILs 60th bday.
Thank God it wasn't as hot and humid at that time., considering it's summer time.

April (9days) - Japan
We went to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. I fell in love with the place, the people and the food. Totally amazing! We also enjoyed the theme parks. We visited, USJ, Disneyland and Disney Sea.

May (3days) Davao/Pearl Farm
Serenity and Privacy. All in one. Davao also has super yummy and afordable food.

These travels were with a 3yo toddler, sulit!

Singapore. From the 21st until today, the 25th. SG is a personal favorite, so I am biased. Super happy and memorable. What made it more cool was getting the chance to hang with my guy's siblings and they were tons of fun to be with. Running into some of our friends from uni was a pleasant welcome surprise, too!!!

Bangkok!

Rode shotgun with my hubby again who went there for a series of training sessions. He had a few days off before his training so we were able to chill out lang in the city. First night we stayed at Shangri-La Bangkok and visited Asiatique. Next two days we stayed at The Siam Hotel. What an awesome hotel! Grabe we didn't want to leave the place. Wrote about our experience in my blog.

Just got back from Tokyo. 4d/3n. Fun, but hot.

last week was my official summer bakasyon,

1st leg: Ibiza ,  okay lang, I was with college friends.  The beaches are nothing compared to Pinas´ beaches but there were a lot of eye candies talaga. And wala talagang kebs so hindi ka mahihiyang magbikini,  Most girls in the beach we went too nagtotopless because gusto nila pantay ang tan nila.  But the crowd here are mid twenties so parang too old na ako for it haha.  Okay din the clubs, we did it one time lang and safe and fun naman.  Pero the best part lang for me sa ibiza is having a flat right next to the beach and hearing the waves crash while you sleep.

2nd leg: Solo travel to Germany (Dusseldorf-Cologne-Hamburg)

This one I super enjoyed!  I found the Germans really kind and surprisingly happy!  The prices are also not so bad compared to cities such as Paris and Amsterdam.  And good, not too expensive food din.. I really enjoyed Germany so I want to go back soon, hopefully to Berlin naman.

Bali early this month. It was really hot but we enjoyed the beach so much.  I'm looking forward to going back next year.

Manila last 28 to 31st of August.
Well, to others, Manila barely count as a destination as it seems to be the home base of the majority, but just the same, allow me to post away.
It was a very good trip. Rainy last Friday, extremely warm on Saturday and Sunday, but it was an excellent trip nonetheless.
Again, it always boils down to company & activities.
Had a blast exploring the exhibits in The Ayala Museum.
Had the chance to meet up with a few friends, including a great friend from GT.
Food places I/we ended up dining at was fantabulously yummy and awesome, so what more can a girl ask for?

Barcelona - surprisingly my husband and I thought the place was absolutely underwhelming. Graffiti everywhere, boring architecture (except of course Gaudi's buildings), deserted streets. What's up, everyone on siesta? We went last week of August and first week of September so maybe everyone's away on holiday? We enjoyed the beach though. Only that and the food were the highlights of our trip.  Montserrat was ok rin.

Cuenca - 3 hours away from Barcelona. Lovely, delightful province in Spain. My husband had work there, and I tagged along. Because  my husband works in a museum here in Pinas, and he had business in Cuenca's museum (the one founded by Fernando Zobel himself), we were really in for a treat. The director himself talked to us, and toured us, and we had access to special places in the museum. We also stayed in a beautiful, medieval BnB with fantastic mountain views. Would love to go back.

Amsterdam - Fell in love with this city. It's like Paris and Venice combined. Big city with small town feel. Weather was perfect when we were there. Expensive city though, another similarity with Paris and Venice.

London - April 2014, but i only had 3 days for leisure travel, the rest were dedicated to work. i was able to squeeze quite a good amount of destinations in those three days so happy naman. i was able to see two plays! the weather was quite good as well (for the most part).

Davao... yesterday and today. It was great because time was well spent with great friends and an awesome family. The only set back was... traffic is starting to be bad in Davao..

US 2 weeks ago. Sabit sa business trip ni hubby. and to visit my sister na rin. It was fun pero bitin ang shopping! Pero now that I've got the bills na from that trip, buti na rin.

Vietnam, last 2 weeks ago...enjoyed much with my high school besties. we super loved their pho bo :-)

Orlando, Florida - Disney World and Universal Studios last month.
Love it there! I think I was more excited than my son to see the Disney characters. Would love to be back anytime soon... can't get it out of my mind and is secretly planning our return trip despite hubby objections.

Sept 10-20, Bangkok. That was a blast, food, shopping, and muay thai. We will defo be back next yr, no longer as tourists but on a 2 week muay thai camp.

Japan last October 1-7 with my sister. We were able to tour around most of the spots in Tokyo for 4 days, tapos we stayed in Saitama for 3 days to visit my nephew. Weather was nice for most of the trip except last Oct 5 na umulan buong araw, and they had typhoon signal the next day. The trip was mostly about food, shopping, and bonding with my nephew so it was really fun!

Last trip? I do not remember exactly when it was, but I guess some five/six years ago. I was on holiday in Poland. I flew to Warsaw, I visited the Chopin park (with Chopin monument), I visited Warsaw Uprising Museum and the palace in Willanow.
Later, I was in Krakow.
The most interesting of all trips were, a trip to a salt mine in Wieliczka (http://krakowdirect.com/salt_mine_tour/) will never forget walking through the corridors, and the maximal impressed me- underground lake.
Do not forget also about a walk through the old town at night. Spectacular views, especially sides of  Wisla River.
