I bought a unit in St. Therese Columbarium near Resorts World for about 90k, 3 yrs ago.  Not sure if may babayaran pang iba sa kanila when you want to hold a ceremony when placing the urn.

My mother on the other hand has a St. Peter memorial plan. Okay lang with St. Peter to use the memorial plan of my Mother for cremation services. Magrerecompute lang daw ng kulang etc.

When my Papa died last month, neither of the two ang nagamit namin.

Bought a casket and rented a room for 4d3n at the ground level for 64k (bawas na dun ang senior citizen discount - thanks to sc law). Then I bought on the spot a memorial lot sa Manila Memorial Sucat. I got the new lot for Php118k yata or 120k.

I also inquired sa Heritage Park since eto pinakamalapit sa Fort. But sadly, mabagal silang kumilos.

As soon as maayos na uli ang cash flow ko, I'll purchase a memorial service plan from Loyola na lang or from any of their Pre-need partners. Sa kanila kasi laging may available na viewing chapel and location-wise, okay sya.

By the way, hindi ka laging makakamura sa cremation. Dun sa 64k ni Papa, if we opted to go for cremation, 25k yung additional for the cremation service at bibili ka pa ng marble urn (or whatever is acceptable sa columbarium).

Isa sa mga tiningnan rin namin na option ng brother ko is renting the casket instead of buying a new one. Turns out mas mahal mag rent. Minimum of 100k for the rent ng casket and memorial services!

If mas mura ba ang columbarium sa memorial lot, my experience syempre shows na mas mura but then again, if I bought a memorial lot 3 yrs ago at a pre-need price, di ganun kalaki ang difference.

Ang moral lesson lang dito is buy at pre-need, both memorial lot / vault and memorial / cremation services.

I don't think so bluish_mommy. Most of these memorial plans I've seen
come with insurance which pays off the balance when you die.

Unless you're like 60 years old in which case you don't qualify for life insurance.

You can check St. Peter's clause on unpaid balances here

recently bought a columbarium at golden haven in c5 extension dun sa may villar sipag. i got the 5 years to pay para di ko masyado maramadaman hehe... mga 113,000 din ang total pero if you pay in 2 years or in lump sum di hamak na mas mura.

Atleast services nalang ang kulang ko... I just want to make sure my son doesn't have a hard time when I die sa pag aayos ng libingan ko :)

so kunwari yung kumuha is nasa 30+ then may nawala at balak ipagamit pero nasa 70+ na, yun ang time na kelangan bayaran yung balanse?

Would anyone know how much difference (kahit estimate percent lang) if I get a memorial plan in advance compared to on the spot? Ako honestly kasi I just want to donate my dead body to a medical school, but if I die before my parents, I doubt na they will grant my request. I'm sure gagawa sila ng funeral. So I was thinking of preparing din just in case.

And yun memorial plan, the younger the cheaper ba? Diba pag life insurance, the younger you get (e.g. 25 yrs old) the cheaper the premium compared if you get it when you are, for example, 50 years old.  Is it the same case sa memorial plan?

Umaabot ng doble presyo kung on the spot.

i just bought a columbarium kasi naisip ko if i die i don't want to be a burden to my love ones.
Wala sa age ang pricing pero nag mamahal siya as time goes kasi yung demand / market price.
Yung nabili ko a month after mas mahal na sya agad.

Yung columbarium pala iba iba price nya per level. mas mura yung nasa pinaka baba...

after i pay off my columbarium, i plan to buy services naman... di sya investment pero okay na din prepared kesa kung kelan patay nako saka palang mag kumahog yung relatives ko.
Siyempre pag insurance di naman ganun ka bilis ma redeem so iba pa din if memorial plans ang kunin mo.... Maganda if you get memorial plans + insurance

meron kaya kayo marecommend na website that can help educate those who plan to get memorial plans, sort of like "getting memorial plan 101". nagsearch ako sa google, pero lumalabas is mga companies ng memorial plan. Like sa life insurance, most of them may VUL, free medical exam, beneficiary, etc. I was wondering ano naman sa memorial plan, baka maloko kasi ako

we're planning to get st peter life plans for me and husband, kunan din namin si MIL ko. Also planning to get a memorial lot, pero we're checking if we can get a mausoleum instead.

quick story, my father-in-law died last year without any memorial plans. They were left with minimum funds since he died due to cancer and nasagad talaga sa medication and hospitalization. Buti na lang mine was already fully paid by my mom and I can transfer it for him to use.

Moral lesson: it's always a taboo in our culture to prepare pre-needs. Pero looking at the positive side, ang hirap din sa maiiwan mo kung wala ka man lang naprepare for it. Lahat naman tayo dun ang punta, so it shouldn't be a taboo topic to discuss among family members.

^agree, sis! I was asking my parents about their memorial plan, pinagalitan ako why I'm talking about it e bata pa ako (31 na ako). I think older generation can't grasp the idea is death is natural and will happen. They still have the fear of preparing about it. But in reality, death knows no age,

I hope this change as years come by

Basta tama yan sis research at ala window shopping muna bago bili.

Dapat daw lagi handa so I'm thinking of buying na may memorial plan. Any suggestions naman or referral ng agents (if allowed dito). I am from Bulacan so mas okay kung Bulacan-based siya. I am eyeing for a Cremation Plan kasi wala naman kami lupa sa sementeryo.

Well i plan to get services nalang pag na pay-off ko na yung columbarium, nagbabayad pa din kasi ako ng VUL...

Ang requirements lang to buy the columbarium was yung application form, paunang bayad, valid id, saka sss & tin number...
