mikaela325, nung 2 1/2 yrs old na ang baby ko, diaper free na sya pag morning. During bed time lang sya na nagdi-diaper. 1 month na kaming ganito. Pero pag umaalis kami, naka diaper pa din sya pero we're encouraging him to use the toilet still to wiwi or poop.

Mikaela, my little boys were 3 1/2 years old when they were 100% diaper-free.

Ang tip ko sa potty-training:  never force your child if he is not yet ready.  Check for signs of readiness, such as being able to verbalize the need to pee or poo, diapers that go dry for hours signifying that the child has gained bladder control, the enthusiasm for wearing briefs or panties (or reluctance to wear diapers), among others.

Re cradle cap, skin asthma, allergies, rashes in newborns - I read before that one way to prevent these things is to breastfeed.

^ My kids din never had cradle cap - eh super preemies pa nga sila.

I got:
My Balloon Room for the balloons setup, P2,100 + P300 delivery charge. 1 pair of pillars, 1 cake arch, 10 pcs. balloon center piece (w/o stand), and 4 sets ballonderitas. I also ordered personalized pinata for P350

Big Tummy Cakes for 6" fondant cake and 36 cupcakes. P12/per cupcake and dome packaging with ribbon and tag. 3-layered tower sya. P2,830

Leiko Lorenzo will be my photographer. I know there's a bad feedback pero mura kasi at ok naman shots so it's a risk I'm willing to take. God, help me.

Arts N Style for the souvenirs, personalized keychain and ref magnets at P20 each and I will also be giving out the cupcakes sa guests.

Outfit namin ni hubs and baby, nagpagawa rin ako kay Arts N Style ng personalized shirts for P1,000 set na. Transformers logo and may naka print na "Daddybot" for hubs, "Mommybot" for me, and "Zionbot" for baby. (Dapat ata babybot nalang. Oh well.)

I just need to buy confettis, party poppers, and candies. Sa lootbags, Transformers sa boys and Barbie lootbags for girls.

Sana walang bagyo sa August 3. I recently attended a 1st birthday party last June 23rd, if you could remember, binabagyo tayo ni Falcon nun. They invited 100+, only 65-70 attended. :( Pero masaya naman kahit papano. Mga adults ang nag-laro at kasali ako dun. LOL.

Anyway, I promise to be more active after the birthday. Hehe. At sana makasama rin ako sa EB soon. :)

Nga pala, happy happy birthday sis Kristine!!! :)

Happy birthday :)

thank's mga mommies for your replies. :) i was wondering kasi when mag stop i diaper si baby. i'm thinking of bringing him to school kasi by the age of 3. eh yung half brother ko na 4 y.o. now, nakaka poop pa din sa brief kaya palagi nya kasama mommy nya sa school. kaya gusto ko sana maaga ma potty train si marcus. i need to wait for the signs of readiness pala on his part.

enjoy the party sis justine! :) ikaw ba yung ka fb ko. hehe. aimee here. anyway, we'll pray for good weather para sa party ng iyong baby. okay pala sa jollibee pumapayag pala sila ng outside suppliers. that's good kasi baka Jollibee party din kami next next year.

Mikaela, are you in the Philippines?

My children went to preschool shortly before they turned 3.   At that time, hindi pa sila potty-trained.  They were diaper-free by the time they were around 3 1/2.

my son is diaper-free by the age of 2 1/2 even at night...
at first it was hard for me and my hubby, we woke up every 3 hours to wake my son to pee...
after 2 months, once na lang, now that he is 3 years old, he knows how to say si-si and we don't wake up anymore to let him pee at night, na co control na nya till morning... :-)

Wala akong nakitang Pampers easy ups sa S&R Fort. Kahit Huggies na pull ups wala.

@mikaela, yes, when I say diaper-free, I meant diaper-free even at night and when going out. :)

Noong 3 years old sila, diaper-free during the day lang then unti-unti tinanggal kapag nap time, then sa evening, then going out.

So last November or December, we decided that they were ready to let go of diapers.

Also, if I may add, accidents happen kasi hindi pa naman 100% ang control nila.  If that happens, do not make a big deal.  Tell him next time he will be able to make it to the toilet. :) You can also prevent accidents from happening by making your kid go and pee every 2-3 hours or so until it becomes a habit.

So far, never naman sila nagka-accident sa pag-poop.  Laging may pasabi way ahead the actual deed.

Actually, ngayon, wala na rin accidents sa pag-pee. :)

So just give your son time.  Mas maganda kung hindi mo siya i-pressure.

hi mommies! I miss you all, busy busy lang this past week, kaya pasilip silip lang sa internet :)

re potty training, what worked for us with S1 was telling her na when she goes to school wearing diaper i told her nakakahiya yon kasi school aged kids are not wearing diapers anymore (she was 3 when i started telling her that) by 3 1/2 yata sa naging diaper free, sa night na lang kasi si hubby ayaw maihian ag bed..though most of the time wala namang wiwi ang diaper..scared lang talaga sila sa possible accidents, but one time we slept over sa mga lolo't lola, i forgot to bring diaper, kaya napilitan matulog not wearing one, wala namang nangyaring 'accident' so i congratulated her, she was proud of herself..naging confident na sya from then on..dun na nagstart na totally diaper-free.   she entered preschool 3 yrs 10 months, buti na-train na talaga kasi her school does't accept pag hindi pa potty trained.

By the way, we didn't use a potty trainer, just the potty seat na you put on top of the toilet bowl para swak yung size for the kid. It was helpful kasi hind nahirapan sa transition to the real toilet bowl.

Sisses, just wanna share some sad news and ask for your prayers na din. My sister's in law's baby died inside her tummy few hours before she got her delivered via CS yesterday morning. 4 times nag-coil yung cord nya sa neck, when they got to the hospital for her scheduled CS, wala ng heartbeat yung baby.

It's a very devastating news for our family. Nakita ko din yung baby after he was taken out and sinamahan namin sya sa isang room sa hospital until he was taken by the funeraria. There are no words to say, para kaseng nababasa and naririnig ko lang sa iba to but it's really heartbreaking.
