Phuket Thailand

Was in Phuket for 3 days late last week. Stayed at the Mai Khao beach area. It's ahold area if you want peace and quiet, but it's about an hour drive to Patong beach, if you want to see some of the action.  Watched the Simon cabaret show and all I can say is that it's not worth it!

Stayed at Holiday Inn Mai Khao. The resort was just so beautiful. It is directly on the beach.

I agree -- the Simon Cabaret show was SO not worth it. Terrible! On the bright side, i's one of those things na
it's so bad that it's funny na lang. Wala silang kalatuy-latoy and they didn't even know the words of
the songs they were lip-synching to. Laughtrip.

The food was great. Try No.6 Restaurant (super haba pila palagi) for cheap and good Thai food.

sis cutiepie kelan mo balak pumunta? actually that is my concern too. soul searching ang drama ko..planning to go by september first week sana..
maalon yung beach pero tuloy pa din ba yung mga tour? or high chances of not being able to proceed with the island tour? shocks...september lang ako pwede...shocks..

second week of august. hehe. i'm thinkin of spending 5 days in phuket. enough na kaya yun? hehe. i'm planning of 3 days in bangkok then fly to phuket for 5 days.

True! Matatawa ka na lang -- pag di ka tumawa, maiinis ka lang. Sis did you notice the resto right next to the Simon venue? We actually ate there. Kasi naman, when we asked for directions at Holiday Inn in Patong (that's where our hotel shuttle dropped us off), the concierge said the venue is within walking distance. 2.1km is within walking distance siguro if the temperature is not over 35C! Haha! We were so hungry that we just had to eat. AND.... masarap ha!

^ Haha, pero to be fair, yung iba sa kanila magaganda talaga, 'di ba?

Didn't notice the resto beside the Simon venue. We got roundtrip transfers kasi to/from our hotel so
we didn't get to walk around that area na rin. Buti na lang generally masarap naman ang food anywhere doon

^True! I thought ang ganda those part of the Japanese song number. The Indian dance was well choreographed and the lead dancer was pretty.

anyone tried traveling from Phuket to Koh Lanta or Phuket to Krabi? we'll specifically stay in Pimalai Resort and Spa in Koh Lanta.  baka meron nang nakapag try sa inyo pumunta dun...

Was in phuket for 6 days. Stayed at kata beach. Very steady sa kata area. Mostly families and couples. We stayed at kata beach resort and foto hotel. I would recommend staying in foto hotel. Super relaxing, malayo lang sa beach.

hubby and I will visit phuket this November for the first time. magstart na ako gumawa ng itinerary namin. pero parang ang hirap. I need your inputs, tips, suggestions, etc. please.. dun sa mga nakapunta na, pasend naman nung naging itinerary nyo (plus expenses).

suggestion din pala ng affordable hotel.
