thanks sis. saan pala kayo resort nag-stay sa Kata? still looking pa ako eh. thinking of booking Sugar Palm Resort. it's around P9K for 2 nights yung Deluxe room nila for 2. hanap pa ako mas cheaper kasi mostly out naman kami whole day because of the tours/island hopping. we will sort of splurge na lang on our 3rd night either Westin or Radisson Blu para relax na lang talaga sa resort lang mag-stay. initially Sri Panwa nga gusto ko kaya lang super mahal at P26/nightt  hindi ko maatim hahaha!

Sis, san kayo sa Kata nagstay? Plan kasi namin sa cheap accomodation lang, sa Kata Beach Center Hotel. OK kaya location nyan?

Saka hindi ba white sand sa Kata?

we're booked na at Holiday Inn Express Patong for 2 nights and Aleenta Resort Phangnga for our last night.

initially considered Sugar Palm Resort at Kata pero decided on Holiday Inn Express for it's location, and mas mura hehe. it's just like 5 minutes walk to Patong beach and also near Jungceylon Shoping Center where Aleenta has complimentary shuttle service. dun na lang kami mag-hintay ng van nila going to their resort.

now just want to ask sisses, mga how much ba taxi fare from airport to Patong? Holiday inn's rate is THB900 per trip kasi eh. Also, baka may idea kayo how much transpo/tuktuk from Patong to Kata Beach?

here are few tips para sa mga pupunta ng phuket, based to sa experience ko.

1. Kapag hindi provided ng hotel ang airport transfer, you can take the mini bus (actually van to, mini bus lang tawag nila) sa airport mismo. B150 lang sia, shared with others, ihahatid ka mismo sa hotel mo. Yung price ata depends sa location. Kung Patong for sure 150 baht, kung karon at kata beach, mas mahal.

Normally, kung kukuha ka ng aiport taxi, it will cost around 700+ baht.

2. Patong Beach - crowded dito. Kung gusto mo ng crazy night life, this is the place for you. Medyo expensive than any other beaches and prices the food dito.

If you want to eat an authentic thai food na mura, go to Restaurant No 6 along main road eto, malapit sa mall.

You can buy beer sa 711 and walk around sa Bangla Rd.

Malabo ang tubig sa beach since maraming tao pero hindi naman madumi. Malabo lang kasi nagagalaw yung buhangin.

3. Karon Beach - tranquil ang beach nato. It is about 10-15 min ride from Patong. Mode of transpo is taxi and i paid 350 baht for the transfer.

3 lang ang resort na by the beach, the rest nasa kabila ng road. I stayed sa Ruam Thep, eto na yung mura and i loved my stay here. Affordable din ang food sa resto nila.

Medyo laid back dito, most shops open at 10am. If you want to go around, rent ng motorbike for 250 baht for 24 hours. Fill it up with gas on your own, leave your passport as a deposit. Kung wala kang dalang passport sa pagpunta mo sa renting place, deposit ka ng 2k baht.

May weekly market sila, i think Tuesdays. Medyo mahirap hanapin, na discover ko lang tong place by accident but you can ask around. Mura ang tinda kesa sa mga shops. May food din dito.

4. Mahal ang yosi sa Thailand. 90baht per pack, so kung smoker ka, bring packs from Pinas.
5. Mahal ang shirts, shorts, and the likes sa Phuket kasi tourist area sia. Kung pupunta ka ng bangkok, dun ka na lang mamili.
6. Rent ng motorbike kung pupunta ka ng Phuket town. Kasi ang mini bus, may time lang sia. Pag dating mo pa dun, mag tataxi ka to go one place to another so it would really cost you a lot sa transpo pa lang.
7. Big C supercenter, super mura. pati mga make ups at toiletries. Yung camping tent nila, 200 baht lang. Baket mura? Kasi sabi ng friend ko, government daw may ari nun.
8. Always HAGGLE.
9. Left hand drive road dito, nakakalito minsan tumawid.
10. Mahal ang thai massage at mani and pedi.  400 baht.
11. Beach lounge chair for whole day is 100 baht. nag rent lang ako ng isang araw. the next day, nag beach towel na lang ako.
12. Walang paki ang tao dito kung anong bikini mo at kung luwa ang puson mo. Hindi uso dun yung mga styled bikini na binebenta dito online.
13. Mura ang tanning lotion, parang nasa 200 baht lang.
14. Stop converting the currency and enjoy paying for stuff that you deserve.
15. Mas mura if you go between May to October.
16. Dont book online for tours, kasi mas mahal sila at sobrang daming nag aarange ng tours dun na half the price from the internet rates.

thansk sa mga suggestions and tips sis. ask ko lang, need talaga iwan mismo passport? hindi pwede copy lang? parang nakaktakot kasi na passport mismo mapunta sa kanila. also, hindi ba nakakatakot mag-motorbike sa roads nila? i've read na one of the major causes of tourist accidents ang pag-motorbike.

Same here. We'll be travelling to phuket on MAr 2014. But tigerair have temporary network issues that's why flights have been cancelled until further notice.

Just came back from Phuket. We have been here many times since its the nearest beach holiday from SG. We just love the food also me and boyfie are really beach bum. We always rent a car from airport since he got GPS and its a lot cheaper compare to taking taxi and tuktuk. Mahal ang taxi sa phuket. Some tourist choose motorbike (di kasi ako marunong mag motorbike) for their transpo.

We always book our accommodation in two villa. its a private villa with private pool. Maybe for some couple they will find our vacation boring, pero thats how we like it. Swimming all the way, food and massage. We also go to nearby beach. For me the best beach around Phuket is Surin. Patong its crowded. Phuket is a very safe place. I just wish one day our beaches will have the same, yung tipong foreigners can just go around freely.

Hello mga sis! plan namin maghoneymoon sa Phuket. Based on research, sakto kasi January wedding namin, yun daw ang best month dun. we're planning a 10days honeymoon kaso baka naman mabored kami dun? puro island hopping lang ba magagawa dun? another option na naisip ko ay 6days Phuket then 4 days SG. ano satingin niyo mga sis?

sis crazy_krizsa, ganun din sana ang gusto namin, private villa with private pool. Yung sinasabi mo ba ay "Two Villas Holiday"? Alin dun ang natry niyo na? How much magrent ng car dun sis? TIA!

^ sis, if you haven't been to Bangkok, I suggest 4 days BKK, 6 days Phuket. we did BKK (2nights)-Phuket (3 nights) last December pero sobrang bitin!  lalo na yung stay namin sa Aleenta Resort on our last night, where we had the villa and pool to ourselves (me and hubby) and Natai Beach na nasa harap lang. i wish we stayed there at least 2 nights kasi sobrang relaxing and serene nung place for us.
